Chapter 230 Another Hidden Identity Revealed

Ashley shot Yaakov a look that could kill. If her hands weren't covered in ointment, she would've decked him. With Yaakov's skills, he could shut someone up in a heartbeat. No way was Ashley letting him hurt Ethan.

Ethan paused for a sec and asked, "Is he Asclepius? Got any proof?"

Everyone who laid eyes on Ethan seemed scared stiff, but Yaakov? Nah, he was all cocky, not a hint of fear, even throwing threats around!

Could he really be Asclepius?

Just as Yaakov was about to open his mouth, Ashley felt a sharp pain.

"What's wrong?"

Seeing her in agony, Ethan asked, "You okay?"

"Babe, it hurts so bad..."

Yaakov came over to check, but Ethan grabbed him by the collar, lifted him up, and said coldly, "How could Asclepius be some young punk like you? You better hope Ashley's okay, or you're done!"

With that, Ethan clocked Yaakov, sending him flying onto the sofa.

Ethan immediately scooped up Ashley, ready to rush her to the hospital.

Ashley, pale and hurting, groaned, "It hurts..."

Ethan's heart broke. "Hang in there, babe, I'm taking you to the hospital right now!"

Yaakov got up, wiped the blood from his mouth, and said, "If you want Ashley to end up crippled, go ahead and take her to the hospital. It's you delaying her treatment, not me!"

Ethan didn't buy it and was about to head out the door when Ashley weakly said, "Babe, please... don't take me away... let Yaakov help me..."

Ethan was losing it.

Ashley was in so much pain but still trusted Yaakov. Could he really have the skills?

As Ethan hesitated for a couple of seconds, Yaakov stepped forward, grabbed Ashley, and said, "Time's ticking, saving her comes first!"

As soon as Yaakov took Ashley, Ethan yanked her back and said, "I'll do it."

Ethan didn't trust Yaakov but decided to trust Ashley. He gently laid her on the bed. Seeing her in such pain, he felt both guilty and heartbroken.

"Why's she in so much pain... Did you mess up the massage?"

Yaakov checked and said, "No."

Yaakov explained, "Her muscle damage is severe. I'm using physical therapy to help get rid of the blood clots. Her body is detoxing now, which is super painful. I need to crank up the intensity to flush the toxins out faster..."

As he spoke, Yaakov resumed the therapy, pressing harder.

Yaakov cranked up the pressure during Ashley's therapy, and seeing her drenched in cold sweat from the pain, Ethan felt like his heart was being squeezed. He got up, went to the bathroom, and came back with a basin of warm water, using a towel to gently wipe the sweat from her face.

Two hours later.

Ashley let out a long breath, feeling a wave of relief wash over her.

Ethan, all worried, asked, "Babe, how you feeling now?"

Ashley gave him a tired but genuine smile. "I used to feel so drained. After this therapy, I feel so much lighter. It's like a bunch of toxins got flushed out..."

Ethan couldn't help but glance at Yaakov.

Earlier, in the heat of the moment, he didn't trust Yaakov. But after watching him work his magic for over two hours, he had to admit, the guy knew his stuff. Still, Asclepius? That was a stretch.

Yaakov handed Ashley a glass. "Give it a shot?"

Ethan jumped in, "Babe, you just finished therapy, don't push it."

"It's okay, I'll try."

Ashley took a deep breath, a mix of nerves and hope, and reached for the glass. Yaakov let go as she gripped it.

Her hand trembled a bit.

Ethan instinctively reached out, not worried about the glass breaking, but about the shards hurting Ashley.

But then, something amazing happened!

Ashley, who couldn't even hold a cup before, was now holding the glass after just one therapy session, even if it was a bit shaky!

"Babe!"

Ashley exclaimed, "I can hold the glass steady!"

It was a huge deal!

Ethan was just as pumped, like a storm had cleared.

He was genuinely thrilled for Ashley's progress!

He looked at Yaakov with newfound respect. At that moment, he finally believed in Yaakov's skills. "Even top experts need multiple sessions to achieve noticeable results. But you made such a big change in just one go..."

"Babe, I told you he was Asclepius. Why didn't you believe me?"

Ethan was fully convinced now. He cleared his throat and said seriously, "I'm sorry, Asclepius. I was an idiot earlier and disrespected you. Please forgive me."

Yaakov raised an eyebrow. "If you weren't her husband, I would've bailed a long time ago. Mr. Yates, nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you."

The two men shook hands, their eyes meeting with a mutual understanding, like they'd bonded through their initial clash.

"By the way, she needs a few more therapy sessions. But I gotta go abroad for a bit. So, during that time..."

Yaakov looked at Ashley and said, "Why don't you do it yourself..."

Ashley suddenly coughed, cutting Yaakov off, and shot him a warning look.
