Chapter 73 Divorce?
Ethan sat up in bed, showing off his toned abs. "What's going on at home?"
Ivy's voice trembled on the other end of the line. "I can't explain over the phone. Just come back quickly!"
Ethan had told her not to call unless it was urgent. Could something serious have happened?
"Honey, what's going on at home? Did Grandpa have another heart attack? Let's go back together!"
"Honey, you need to stay in bed because of the baby. Call the nurse if you need anything. I'll be back soon."
Ashley nodded, looking worried. "Okay, be safe."
Ethan got up and left. As she looked at the empty half of the bed, Ashley felt a pang of loneliness. She had just started liking him, and now she missed him already.
She covered her face in embarrassment, then lay down and pulled the blanket over herself to sleep.

At the Yates family mansion, Ethan rushed in, ready to find out what was wrong. But as soon as he stepped into the living room, he saw the family and guests laughing and chatting.
Wasn't there supposed to be an emergency?
Seeing Ethan, Ivy quickly said, "Ethan, you're just in time. Mr. White and Ms. White are here. Come sit and chat with them."
She reached for his arm, but Ethan glared at her. "Didn't you say there was an emergency? Is this your idea of an emergency?"
Ivy's eyes flickered guiltily. "Ethan, don't embarrass me in front of the guests."
They reached the sofa.
"Mr. White, you're a big name in business. You must have heard of our Ethan. You two should have a lot to talk about."
Landon stood up and extended his hand. "Mr. Yates, nice to meet you."
Ethan, holding back his anger, shook his hand. "Mr. White, nice to meet you."
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Ava and felt a twinge of confusion.
"Ethan," Ava said softly, her voice timid.
"I forgot to introduce you; this is Ms. White, whom the White family has been searching for over a decade. She's been through a lot..."
Ethan was surprised. "You're Ms. White from the White family?"
Ava blushed. "Yes, Ethan, didn't I tell you last time? The White family is my long-lost family."
Landon asked, "You two know each other?"
Ava said, "Brother, Ethan is my boyfriend."
Ethan frowned. "Ex-boyfriend. I already have..."
Before he could finish, Ivy interrupted, "Oh, why are we all standing? Let's sit down and chat. I'll have the maid make some tea."
Ethan was annoyed. Why did Ivy interrupt him? He already had a wife, and Ava was just the past.
"So, Ava's boyfriend is Mr. Yates. This is quite a surprise!"
Landon instantly looked down on Ethan, thinking he was unworthy of his sister.
"My sister has suffered a lot, but from now on, I'll give her a better life. Whatever she wants, I'll give it to her!"
Ava shyly said, "Landon, I don't want anything..."
She looked at Ethan with infatuation. "As long as I can be with Ethan, I'm content."
Ethan rubbed his temples in frustration.
"I didn't expect our Ethan and Miss White to be in a relationship. This is quite a fate. I remember our families had a marriage agreement. Why don't we discuss the marriage today?"
Ethan gave Ivy a warning look.
Landon said, "I brought Ava today to discuss the marriage."
"Mr. Yates is currently married. I won't let Ava be wronged. Either you divorce your current wife and be with Ava, or we cancel the marriage agreement."
Ivy said, "Mr. White, don't worry. That woman is not worthy of our Ethan. We'll handle the divorce immediately. When would you like to set a date for Ethan and Ava?"
Landon looked down on this behavior. If it weren't for Ava's feelings, he would have left already.
"Whenever you handle the divorce, we can discuss the marriage."
"Mr. Yates, what do you think?"
Ethan looked at them, feeling cold inside. He replied, "I won't get a divorce!"
