Chapter 183 Is the Yates Group Going Bankrupt?
Kelsey waved off the male masseur, who sneered at Ethan as he passed by.
Ethan's stare shot back at him, cold and piercing, like it could turn him to dust.
The masseur, once cocky, felt a chill down his spine and his legs shook as he left.
Outside, he grabbed a maid and asked, "Who was that guy? Why does Her Majesty favor him?"
The maid replied, "He's the richest man from Aivalia."
"No wonder..."
Burning with jealousy, the masseur peeked through the door and saw Ethan in Kelsey's bedroom, hatching a wicked plan.
Inside the room.
"Mr. Yates, why are you just standing there? Come over."
Kelsey's voice dripped with allure, her half-naked body framed by sheer curtains, creating a charged atmosphere.
Ethan stayed by the door, speaking firmly, "Your Majesty, I'm here to discuss business. Let's go to the office."
Kelsey chuckled, her laugh tempting. Any other man would've crumbled, but Ethan stood tall, eyes clear and composed.
Kelsey got up, her long, sexy legs on display, and slowly approached Ethan.
"Your Majesty, please put on your clothes. Let's discuss this in the office," Ethan said, stepping back.
Kelsey smirked and quickly locked the door.
Ethan looked surprised.
"Mr. Yates, are all men in your country as indifferent as you, or am I not attractive enough?"
Kelsey reached out to touch Ethan, but he blocked her.
"Your Majesty, I'm here for business. I hope you..."
He didn't finish, knowing it would anger her.
But his refusal still made her mad.
"Don't you know why I chose the Yates Group? Last time we worked together, you were single. Now you're married? I don't see what's special about Mrs. Yates. What does she have that I don't?"
Kelsey snorted and moved closer to Ethan.
Ethan frowned, stepping back. "It seems you're not interested in business. I'll take my leave and not disturb you further."
"And also, I hope Your Majesty refrains from making unwarranted comments about my wife. I don't care how others see her; to me, she's the only one!"
With that, Ethan turned to leave.
"Stop!"
Kelsey cornered him, trapping him against the wall.
Ethan, a usually dominant CEO, found this situation very unpleasant.
Kelsey struck a seductive pose, revealing her cleavage. "Then let's talk business."
"Let's talk in the office."
"No, right here."
Kelsey smirked. "My design pieces were damaged during transport. I could sue you for breach of contract, and that would bankrupt the Yates Group!"
Ethan's eyes narrowed. "How do you want to handle it? We can expedite new pieces or provide backups."
Kelsey shook her head. "My birthday is soon, and your pieces won't make it in time."
"But..."
Kelsey hooked his tie, trying to pull it off.
Ethan blocked her hand. "If you stay with me for a month, I'll drop the lawsuit."
Ethan looked confused.
Kelsey smiled seductively, placing her hand on his chest. "You know what I mean, right?"
Disgust flashed in Ethan's eyes, and he pushed her away.
Kelsey was infuriated by his firm attitude.
Ethan said coldly, "Your Majesty, I'm here to discuss business, not to sleep with you. If you're lonely, I can find you a dozen men better built and more handsome than me."
"Ethan, don't be ungrateful. Do you want the Yates Group to go bankrupt?"
"That depends on whether you can make it happen!"
"You!"
Kelsey laughed angrily. "Fine, wait for the lawsuit!"
"I'll be ready!"
Ethan turned and left. As he walked away, he heard things being smashed in the room.
Outside the palace, a cold wind blew, making him feel dizzy.
"Mr. Yates, how did it go?" Diannel asked anxiously.
Ethan shook his head, looking grim. "Contact the best lawyer in the country. We're in for a tough battle."
If they lost, the Yates family would be ruined.
He wasn't afraid of hardship; he was just afraid of failing to provide the woman he loved with a better life.
