Chapter 267 How About a Kiss?
Yaakov pulled up to the hospital entrance with Ashley. Little did they know, Ivy was tailing them and snapping secret pics!
Ashley headed to the exam room, got some blood tests done, and handed the report to Yaakov.
Yaakov skimmed through it, frowning. "You sure you're infertile?"
Ashley nodded. "Yeah, I'm sure."
"That's weird. Everything looks normal." Yaakov was puzzled.
Could it be a misdiagnosis?
Yaakov furrowed his brows. "Do you know what kind of meds they gave you?"
Ashley shook her head. "The person who drugged me died in a prison accident. If we wanna dig into this..."
Ashley suddenly remembered Ella. That day, it was Ella who gave her the meds, "I know who to ask. You go ahead, I'll hit up the prison."
"Alright."
Ashley made another trip to the prison and confronted Ella face-to-face. "Ella, you took Ava's money and made me drink that contraceptive stuff. Do you even know what it was?"
Ella's face flickered, "Ms. Wilson, I was outta my mind to agree to that. That herbal stuff, Ava said it's incurable. Once you drink it, you'll never get pregnant."
"How could you be so cruel!" Ashley's face went pale. She couldn't believe she was infertile.
But thinking of Asclepius's medical skills, hope sparked in her eyes.
After leaving the prison, Ashley told Yaakov the news. Yaakov frowned, "Sterilization potion? No wonder..."
"Don't sweat it, sis. I'll find a way to fix this," Yaakov added.
"Okay, I trust you," Ashley said.
After hanging up, Ashley saw it was almost eleven. She drove back to the Yates family to bring lunch to Ethan.
Ashley didn't know that when she left the private room today, Ivy saw her.
Ivy looked at the photos in her hand, a wicked glint in her eyes. At first, she thought Ashley was cheating, but later found out Ethan had clarified on Facebook they were just doing physical therapy.
Seeing her evidence turn useless, Ivy was in a foul mood.
Ivy's eyes turned cunning, and a nasty idea popped up. "How can an infertile woman keep hogging Ethan? Even if it's not an affair, I'll twist the truth!"
So, she went online to find a Photoshop expert.

Ethan wrapped up a meeting and saw it was almost noon.
Diannel walked over. "Mr. Yates, which restaurant today?"
Ethan smirked. "No need, you can clock out now."
Diannel was puzzled. Didn't he always go to a restaurant with him at noon? As soon as he walked out of the conference room, he saw Ashley holding a lunch box, happily waving at Ethan.
Diannel suddenly got it. No wonder he wasn't going to a restaurant, Ashley had brought him lunch.
Ashley hooked her arm around Ethan's, "Babe, it's lunchtime. Hungry? I brought you some food!"
Ashley raised her hand.
Ethan asked, "What yummy stuff did you make?"
Ever since he tasted Ashley's cooking, Ethan's palate had become spoiled. The food outside tasted bland, and only Ashley's cooking was a true delicacy.
"Open it and see," Ashley smiled.
"Let's go to my office."
The two walked hand in hand into the office. When they opened the lunch box, a fragrant aroma wafted out.
Ethan sniffed, "This smell is making my mouth water."
"Then hurry up and eat," Ashley watched as Ethan ate, her eyes filled with anticipation.
Ethan took a few bites, and soon, he was eating more and more quickly.
"Your cooking is really delicious." Seeing her staring at him eating, Ethan chuckled, a sly look in his eyes, "You eat too."
Ashley opened her mouth, and Ethan suddenly leaned in, and they both ended up with the food in their mouths.
Suddenly, the door opened. "Mr. Yates, please sign this document..."
George walked in with a document and froze at the scene.
Ethan reluctantly let go of Ashley.
Ashley's face turned beet red. How embarrassing! They were just eating, and now they had kissed in front of someone else. She felt she couldn't face anyone anymore.
George laughed, "Looks like I came at a bad time. You two carry on."
"Come back," Ethan's voice was cold, "Leave the document."
George chuckled, placed the document on the table, and said, "I'll leave now. You two continue."
Ashley covered her face, feeling even more embarrassed!
