Chapter 7 Buy a House First
The Next Day.
Ashley and Sienna set a time to go house hunting together.
They walked arm in arm to the sales office. The sales lady, Jade, greeted them, "Are you looking for a house? What kind of layout are you interested in?"
Ashley replied, "I live alone, so I don't need anything big. Just something cozy and quiet. Can you recommend one?"
"Sure, follow me."
Jade led them to check out the layouts. Nearby, a colleague sneered, "Jade's wasting her time. Look at how plainly they're dressed. They're just window shopping."
Just then, a well-dressed couple walked in. The colleague's eyes lit up, and she rushed over, "Looking for a house?"
Kira, holding Easton's arm, smiled sweetly. "Yes, we're looking for a wedding house."
"Right this way."
As they toured the model, they unexpectedly ran into Ashley and Sienna.
Small world.
Kira smirked, "Ashley, what are you doing here?"
Ashley didn't even glance at her.
Sienna sneered, "Ashley's buying a house to get away from your dumb Wilson family. She'll be way happier."
Kira laughed, "Ms. Nelson, stop joking. How could a country girl like her afford a house?"
The sales ladies sensed the tension.
"Ms. Wilson, do you like any of the houses I showed you earlier?"
Ashley said, "They're all fine. I'll just pick one."
Kira snorted, "Sure, Ashley. And I'm the Queen of Ferndale."
Ashley ignored her.
"Easton, let's buy a villa for our wedding house, okay? This one right here."
Kira pointed to a spot.
"Ms. Wilson, you have great taste. This is our most luxurious villa, over five million dollars."
"Easton, buy it for me."
Easton, realizing the villa was out of his budget, said, "Sweetie, let's look at some others."
Sienna muttered under her breath, 'Scumbag couple.'
Ashley asked Sienna, "What do you think of this one?"
Sienna glanced at it. "Ashley, this house isn't classy enough. You should buy that villa. It matches your high-end status."
Kira sneered, "Haha, that villa costs over five million dollars. She can't afford it."
Ashley hadn't planned on buying the villa, but Kira's mockery tempted her.
"Ashley, buy it. This is a dreaming villa."
"Alright." Ashley pulled out her bank card. "This villa it is."
Jade was thrilled. "Are you paying in installments or in full?"
Ashley said calmly, "In full."
"Great, I'll handle the paperwork right away."
Kira scoffed, "Stop bluffing. If your card doesn't have enough money, it'll be so embarrassing."
Ashley shot her a cold look. "Annoying."
"You!"
"Ms. Wilson, your payment was successful. Let's go handle the paperwork."
"Okay."
Ashley followed Jade to handle the paperwork. Sienna made a face at Kira. "Embarrassed now? How does it feel?"
Kira fumed. "How could she have that much money! She must have stolen it from our family. I need to confront her!"
Ethan, who had come to buy a house, saw Ashley buy a five-million-dollar villa without hesitation. He couldn't help but wonder where she got so much money.
Hearing someone say she stole it, he looked at her with disdain...
