Chapter 136 I'll Never Divorce

Ashley was heartbroken, barely able to breathe.

Seeing her so upset, Samantha started pushing her wheelchair to leave, but Liam stepped in. "Ashley, the DNA report was a shock, but I still see you as my sister. If you want, you can come to the White family to recover. We'll take care of you."

"Liam!"

Landon cut him off.

Liam looked confused. "Landon, what's your problem? Haven't you always treated Ashley like a sister?"

Landon's eyes showed guilt, but he stubbornly said, "I only trust science. The DNA test shows we're not related. Your kindness is misplaced."

As if that wasn't hurtful enough, Landon added, "Besides, the White family isn't a shelter!"

Liam's kind words had warmed Ashley's heart, but Landon's words hurt her again.

"Landon, I don't care. I consider Ashley my sister, and I want her to come to the White family."

"Liam, stop being ridiculous..."

Seeing them argue made Ashley even more upset.

"Stop it. I'm not going to the White family."

Ashley's face was cold, but her eyes were full of sorrow. "Samantha, May, let's go."

The three women turned to leave. Liam wanted to stop them, but Landon held him back with a warning look.

On their way out of the hospital, May complained, "Ashley, Landon is disgusting. He was all affectionate before, but as soon as he saw the test results, he turned his back on you. I despise people like that."

Ashley, don't be sad. I'll teach him a lesson someday!"

Ashley said, "May, don't cause trouble. Besides, he's right. The White family isn't a shelter; there's no need to take in someone with no blood relation."

Although she spoke calmly, her heart was still in pain.

Unknowingly, Ashley had started to see Landon and Liam as her brothers. She never expected...

Ashley let out a bitter laugh.

"Ashley, where are we going?"

"To Maple Grove Estate."

"Okay."

The three of them hailed a cab and headed to Maple Grove Estate.

Meanwhile, Ethan and Nathan were upstairs at Whiskey Junction, drinking in a booth.

Downstairs, the music was pumping, and people were dancing, but the booth had a different vibe.

Ethan knocked back half a bottle of liquor. Despite its strong kick, he wasn't afraid of being bedridden for days.

Nathan couldn't stand watching him drink as if the world were ending. "Ethan, stop drinking. If you keep this up, you'll end up in the hospital."

Ethan had a high tolerance for alcohol and rarely got drunk, but now his head was spinning.

Ethan felt troubled but didn't want to talk about it. Instead, he asked about Nathan's situation.

"Nathan, how have you been? Have you made up with your wife?"

Nathan said dejectedly, "She recently found a job, and every time I go to see her, she finds me annoying..."

Ethan chuckled. "Independent women are the most attractive. "If you don't reconcile with her now, you might regret it later when her success attracts many admirers."

Nathan gave a bitter laugh and said, "Enough about me. Did you have a fight with your wife? Why are you drinking like this?"

Ethan nodded, looking troubled. "If it were just a small argument, I could coax her, but..."

Ethan ran his hands through his hair in frustration, sinking into the couch, his voice hoarse and pained. "She wants a divorce!"

Nathan's mouth dropped open in shock. "What happened?"

Ethan briefly explained the situation, and after listening, Nathan felt like he was watching a real-life drama, utterly shocked.

"So that's what happened..."

Nathan rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "When Sienna wanted a divorce, I used a method to stall her. If you think it might work, I can share my experience with you."

Ethan immediately perked up. "What method? Tell me quickly!"

Of course, he didn't want a divorce. He would never agree to a divorce!
