Chapter 132: The Unattainable Woman

James also felt awkward. He had gone overboard and made Jennifer climax. He wondered how Jennifer would view him after this; he feared he might never shake off the label of a pervert.
He didn't dare call out to Jennifer. The best course of action was to pretend nothing had happened and go to sleep early. So he said, "I'm going to sleep first," and soon started snoring.
Jennifer kept her head hidden behind the pillow, not daring to show her face for a long time. It wasn't until she heard James's snores that her tense nerves began to relax.
She quietly removed the pillow and peeked at James, confirming that he was indeed asleep before she dared to get up.
Her teeth were clenched, and her face was flushed. Even though more than ten minutes had passed, her heart was still racing!
This incident was an unprecedented shock for her!
Due to her mild frigidity and aloof demeanor, she had consistently felt a strong aversion towards men. This was one of the reasons she chose James as her husband; she knew someone like James wouldn't dare do anything to her.
But the experience just now seemed to open Pandora's box, allowing her to feel a kind of pleasure she had never experienced before.
Especially that final moment, she felt like she was ascending to heaven.
As a doctor, she knew exactly what her reaction was and understood that many women might never experience such a wonderful feeling in their lifetime.
Where on earth did James learn these bizarre techniques? He could make women reach their climax just by pressing the acupoints. She had never heard of such a method.
Jennifer felt both ashamed and annoyed, but strangely, she didn't feel disgusted or repulsed. Even she was surprised by her own feelings! Had she completely accepted James?
Seeing that James was sound asleep, she waited a few more minutes before carefully getting up to take a shower. She felt sticky and uncomfortable all over.
Standing in front of the mirror, looking at her flawless figure, she smiled proudly and softly cursed, "James, you coward. Next time, you will have real sex with me!"
Outside the bathroom, James, who had been snoring, opened his eyes. He couldn't sleep at all; he had just been pretending.
Thinking about what had just happened, he felt a surge of emotions, especially since he couldn't figure out Jennifer's thoughts.
For the next week, every night, Dennis and Kaitlyn would come over to eavesdrop, while Jennifer and James continued to make noises to deceive them.
Of course, Jennifer didn't let James press her feet anymore; that feeling was too shameful. Although she enjoyed it, she was too embarrassed.
With the experience of the first night, her moans became less awkward, and she managed to fool Dennis and Kaitlyn.
After a week of eavesdropping, Dennis and Kaitlyn finally believed them and stopped listening in.
James and Jennifer both felt a hint of relief.
After this incident, things got more ambiguous between them. Jennifer wasn't as cold to James as before, and James wasn't as nervous around Jennifer. At least in Dennis and Kaitlyn's eyes, they seemed more like a common couple.
One day, James received a call from Brandon for recovery treatment.
He immediately arrived at the hospital and gave Brandon a few acupuncture treatments, which completely cured him.
Before leaving, Brandon shook James's hand and told him that if James ever had the chance to visit Emerald Isle City, he would treat James with great hospitality.
James naturally agreed.
Through this week of interaction, Brandon became increasingly satisfied and appreciative of James but also more regretful. He was such an outstanding young man; why did he have to get married so early? If only he could introduce James to his granddaughter Linda, that would be wonderful.
On Michael's end, everything was going smoothly. There were no more unexpected incidents, and he even secured two additional business deals, putting him in a good mood.
Now, Michael valued James even more and had invited him several times for dinner, but James had declined each time. It wasn't that he was unwilling; he was simply too busy during this period. After Jennifer resigned, she gave up the idea of returning to work. After some consideration, she came up with a new plan: to open a medical clinic in Lindwood City and stick to her principles.
James naturally supported her unconditionally. In fact, he had a long will to open a clinic but hadn't had the opportunity before. Now that Jennifer wanted to open one, it couldn't be better for him.
With Joe's help, they found a suitable shop. Numerous essential permits required for the clinic's establishment were granted without any hitches.
Next came the issue of pharmaceuticals. Through a friend's introduction, Jennifer contacted several suppliers. She finally chose the largest, most reliable, and slightly more expensive supplier, which was not in Lindwood City but in a neighboring city.
After making contact, Jennifer planned to go there in person to negotiate.
Normally, Jennifer could handle such matters on her own. But this time, James sensed something special. He felt like someone was following Jennifer, and for her security, he decided to go with her.
"You don't need to come with me. I'll just have a meal with the supplier and come back," Jennifer said.
James didn't voice his concerns. Instead, he smiled and said, "Isn't that perfect? I can help you drink."
Jennifer thought it made sense. In such a business situation, drinking was inevitable, and she wasn't good with alcohol. Having James there to shield her from excessive drinking seemed like a good idea, especially since she knew James could hold his liquor.
"Fine, but don't cause any trouble." Jennifer frowned.
James readily agreed.
Meanwhile, in a luxurious office, two men were having tea.
"Curtis, you seem to be upset a lot lately. What's going on? Isn't your company doing well? You must be worth millions by now," said the older man as he poured tea for the younger man. These two men were Curtis and his business partner, Terry Campbell.
Curtis had recently achieved great success, with his company steadily growing. If things continued at this pace, it could go public within six months. He should have been happy, but his face showed no signs of joy; instead, he looked rather gloomy.
Curtis stubbed out his cigarette, took a sip of the tea Terry had poured, and said disinterestedly, "What's the use of making more money if I can't get the woman I love?"
Terry raised an eyebrow and asked, "Really, Curtis? With your status, is there a woman you can't get?"
"Terry, you don't understand. The woman I love was already married." Curtis sighed, taking a photo from his wallet. It was a picture of him and Jennifer.
To his surprise, Terry exclaimed in shock, his face showing a strange expression, "Curtis, is the woman you like named Jennifer?"
Curtis was stunned and asked, "How do you know?"
Terry laughed. "What a coincidence! You won't believe this, but Jennifer is one of my recent business partners. She said she wanted to open a clinic in Lindwood City and came to me to discuss supplies. We have a dinner meeting tonight. I must say, Jennifer is quite a catch; no wonder you're so infatuated with her."
Curtis was taken aback and then had a bold idea.
