Chapter 88 Recording

Curtis was very eager to get Jennifer, not only because Jennifer was his college goddess, but to also make James suffer. The arrogant attitude of James really annoyed him!

Somebody remarked, "Oh my! There seems to be some history between Curtis and Jennifer."

Someone informed, "What's so strange about that? Back in college, Curtis was chasing Jennifer, okay?"

The other asked, "So, if they had a thing back then, how did Jennifer end up marrying that loser, James?"

Someone chimed into the gossip, "You guys don't know this: when Curtis graduated and chose to study abroad, Jennifer, in a fit of anger, married James. Now that Curtis is back, and he's better James in every aspect, we can see that Jennifer is definitely going to divorce James."

One sneered, "That will be interesting, ha-ha. I've never liked that loser, James. He's clearly a loser, yet he's still there pretending, saying he knows Michael. Does he really think we're fools?"

Another added, "Haha, I don't know if they will divorce, but since Curtis is back, James is definitely going to suffer a lot since he can't be compared to Curtis in every aspect."

The crowd was joyfully discussing the new subject, mocking James harshly. In their eyes, James couldn't compare to Curtis at all, and it was just a matter of time before he was cuckolded.

Joel and his friends, upon seeing Curtis's appearance, set aside their filthy desires towards Jennifer. To them, Curtis was far superior, and they didn't dare offend him.

James was known to be a loser, but Curtis was different and ruthless in his methods. If they offended Curtis, they would surely be dealt with.

In their minds, Jennifer marrying James, a useless man, was an insult to them. But if she married Curtis, who was far superior to them, they would acknowledge Curtis' superiority.

Jennifer's gaze flickered, her cold expression softening. Curtis's sincere apology had somewhat changed her impression of him. "Well, I forgive you," she replied.

Curtis breathed a sigh of relief and proceeded to chat with Jennifer as a friend, not mentioning yesterday's unpleasantness at all. He showed no hostility towards James, displaying great magnanimity. He even greeted James and introduced him to some job opportunities in a friendly manner.

If it weren't for James's keen eyes, noticing the slyness in Curtis's eyes, he might have been deceived. Clearly, Curtis was still having indecent thoughts toward Jennifer.

However, Jennifer was oblivious to this. Her attitude towards Curtis had improved, and she was less repulsed than she was previously since he held less flirtatious behavior.

Finally, as Jennifer and two female classmates went to the restroom, Curtis revealed his true colors. In an instant, his demeanor changed, staring coldly at James, sneering. "I underestimated you. I didn't expect a loser like you to have some skills. Jennifer was fooled by you. But do you think you can compete with me? Let me tell you, I took Jennifer's virginity. You're not her first man!"

James furrowed his brow, irked, and questioned him, "Curtis, what do you mean by that? Didn't you say you weren't interested in Jennifer anymore?"

Upon hearing this, Curtis smirked, looking at James as if he were a fool, playing with a coin between his fingers smoothly. "You're such a fool. Do you believe that? Let me tell you, Jennifer is mine! I am determined to have her. You, this loser, better stay away from her, or else, don't blame me for being rude to you!" he threatened viciously.

James immediately showed an angry expression, and warned, "Curtis! Don't forget, Jennifer is already married! Your behavior is unethical!"

Curtis enjoyed James's futile rage, seeing it as a fitting reaction for James. He despised James even more in his heart, confirming that James was indeed a loser, only daring to act tough in front of Jennifer. Now that she was gone, his true colors were revealed.

While hearing this, James had a brilliant idea: using his phone to record Curtis's words.

Curtis proudly sneered, "Hahaha... Unethical behavior? James, oh James, you really make me laugh. You are indeed a loser. I thought you were going to be impressive today, and it turns out you're still a loser."

Curtis leaned forward, staring directly at James, and said, "Let me tell you this! I am determined to have Jennifer. I had her favor back in college, and now that we're adults living in society, I can still win her over!

"As for you, you're just a pitiful creature. Jennifer has told me everything, you've been married to her for five years and haven't even touched her. The day you two came out of the hotel, you definitely didn't have any intimacy!"

He said it decisively, full of confidence, and continued, "Do you know why? Because Jennifer has always had me in mind, waiting for me to come back and marry her. As for you, you're just a pawn she deliberately used to make me jealous."

James, looking very hurt, stammered, "That's not true! I'm going to tell Jennifer everything you just said!"

However, Curtis remained unfazed, even waving his hand dismissively as he dared James, "Go ahead, snitcher."

He was shameless and extremely arrogant.

Just as James was about to learn more about Curtis' true attempt, planning to tell the truth to Jennifer later, a panicked voice was heard not far away, "Something's wrong, Frederick and the others are in trouble!"

"What's going on?" someone asked, confused.

"What happened to Frederick and the others? Weren't they just moving the car, how did things go wrong?" another questioned, concerned.

"Yeah, did you guys make a mistake?" one added, curiously.

Many people questioned, eagerly.

The alumnus who spoke earlier said anxiously, "It's true, Frederick and Stacy went down to move the car and accidentally bumped into a nearby Land Rover. The other party seems to be a tough guy in society, demanding twenty thousand in compensation from Frederick.

"When Frederick refused, he was beaten up. Ernest and the others just went down and got beaten up too. If I hadn't run fast, I would have been beaten up too!"

Immediately, an alumna said, "In a society governed by law, are there still such arrogant people?! Let's call the police! Let them handle it."

The alumnus protested, "We can't call the police!"

The alumna questioned, "Why?"

Everyone expressed confusion.

The alumnus said bitterly, "Frederick was drinking, so police would consider his circumstance as drunk driving, and the other party seems to have some influence. I suggest we see if anyone in our class has connections in this area to resolve this matter."

Everyone instinctively looked at Curtis.
