Chapter 374 Vast Difference in Strength
The coach looked pretty young, probably around thirty. Even though his stamina had taken a hit, his strength was still top-notch. With all that pent-up emotion, he could still cause some serious damage.
"Come on, coach! Show 'em what you got and let these punks know we ain't messing around."
"Yeah, take 'em down a peg. Who do they think they are, coming to our gym and acting all high and mighty?"
"No doubt, coach is gonna win. Just look at him compared to that scrawny dude. Bet he can drop him with one punch."
"Yeah, coach, go easy on 'em. They're international guests, after all. Just make 'em kneel and say sorry."
The crowd was hyped, totally convinced the coach had this in the bag.
For real, the coach looked a beast—tall, ripped, and intimidating while the other guy was skinny and light. It was like watching a grown-up fight a kid.
But James just shook his head, knowing the real deal.
Sure, the boxing coach was good and kept in shape. But raw power? He was way outclassed. If the other guy went all out from the start, it’d be over in one round.
No one else saw it, though. They were all cocky, thinking victory was a done deal.
Then the karate expert stepped into the ring. He looked at the coach and said, "You're too weak to be my opponent."
The coach's face turned red with anger. "We'll see who's weak after this."
He charged at the karate expert, throwing punches like a pro. Fast and furious, his moves were hard to dodge even if you saw them coming.
But the karate expert was even quicker. He dodged easily and moved to the coach's side, delivering a kick so fast it seemed to cut through the air.
The coach felt the kick coming, and his face twisted in pain. He didn't have time to dodge, so he lifted his left leg to block it.
The kick landed hard, sending the coach flying into the ropes.
He let out a cry of pain, his face contorted in agony. That kick did some serious damage.
When he put his leg down, it was trembling, and he could barely stand. Anyone with good eyesight could see his calf swelling up, showing just how powerful that kick was.
The boxing coach looked like he'd seen a ghost, his lips trembling as he tried to process the opponent's strength.
The crowd, who had been going wild, suddenly went dead silent.
Emberlyn leaned over to James and whispered, "James, is the boxing coach losing?"
"Yeah, their skill levels are worlds apart," James nodded, cool as a cucumber.
Walter, overhearing this, got all riled up seeing Emberlyn so close to James. He snapped, "You always talk up the other side and put us down. What do you know? I bet the boxing coach can still take him."
Just as he finished mouthing off, the karate expert went on the offensive again, cranking up the pressure.
He was moving at least twice as fast as the boxing coach had been. Most people present just saw a blur as he closed in and delivered a hand chop that looked like it could split a mountain.
The boxing coach perceived the hit coming and wanted to back off, but the karate expert wasn't giving him any room. His speed was insane, and in a panic, the coach crossed his arms to block the hit.
Even though the karate expert was shorter, his strength was off the charts.
The chop hit hard, making the coach's arms fly apart and sending him stumbling back.
His arms were so wrecked he could barely lift them.
Facing another brutal kick, the boxing coach finally realized he was outmatched and started yelling for mercy. But the karate expert didn't seem to hear and kicked him right out of the ring.
No one saw that coming. The whole match was over in a minute. The coach, who looked like a tank, got taken down so fast it was unreal.
The crowd was in shock, dead silent.
The Skylantis karate guy stood there, looking all relaxed with a smirk on his face, and said, "Bunch of losers."
That set everyone off. Anyone with a bit of pride couldn't stand that kind of smack talk, especially with the history behind it. Even James frowned. Were these Skylantis folks always this cocky?
Emberlyn was fuming, grabbing James's arm and snapping, "So arrogant. James, you gotta teach them a lesson. Crush them!"
She was so mad she was practically spitting fire.
Walter was even more pissed, shaking with rage. He yelled, "Who you calling losers? I'll kill you!"
With that, he charged and jumped into the ring. The ring was a few feet high, but he jumped onto it like it was nothing.
Walter ripped off his shirt, showing off his muscles, and clenched his fists. His fighting spirit was even higher than when he went up against James earlier.
