Chapter 566 Help

"Mr. Percy and Mr. Lewis are here!"

"Good to see you."

Their arrival prompted many guests to come forward and greet them, indicating their high standing. Especially Mason, who many guests went out of their way to flatter.

Mason indulged in their compliments. He was inherently a very vain person who particularly enjoyed being praised and flattered, which gave him a great sense of accomplishment.

Outwardly, he waved his hands and modestly remarked some polite words. He was a very hypocritical person.

As for Yosef, he didn't enjoy compliments as much as Mason, but being flattered by so many guests in a crowded place still felt good.

Behind them, a group of bodyguards and assistants followed them in.

"It's Mr. Percy and Mr. Lewis. My apologies, I'm so busy, please forgive me for not welcoming you warmly," a tall middle-aged man said, walking up to Mason and Yosef with a hearty laugh, surrounded by a dozen individuals.

Mason and Yosef shook hands with the middle-aged man one after another. Mason laughed, "Mr. Lawson, Mr. Lewis and I arrived late, please don't be upset."

Yosef also laughed and echoed him. The three of them exchanged pleasantries warmly, making it seem like they were old friends. In reality, they were just ordinary friends with no real connection, only a simple relationship of mutual interest.

For the high standing figures, social etiquette was second nature.

Clio noticed Mason and Yosef's arrival and secretly glanced at James, who was still sitting there, not rushing over. She breathed a sigh of relief. She was afraid James would impulsively rush over and cause trouble.

James was calmly watching Mason and Yosef, with no expression on his face, looking very relaxed. No one could tell what he was thinking.

After some pleasantries, Mason, Yosef, and Nolan Lawson sat down to discuss matters, while others tactfully excused themselves. The bodyguards stood around them, forming a human wall.

Nolan said, "Mr. Percy, Mr. Lewis, I deeply regret the loss of your sons."

Mason and Yosef's faces turned grim upon hearing this. Nolan continued, "I also heard that the person who killed your sons is the same individual, isn't it?"

Mason nodded and said in a deep voice, "That's right."

Nolan immediately raised his eyebrows and said, "Who is so audacious to commit such an atrocious act?"

Yosef gritted his teeth and snapped, "It's a bastard named James. He's the grandson of Alistair from the Smith family!"

"James?" Nolan asked, "Could it be the James who was once known as the top genius of the City of Mysteries?"

"That's right! It's him!" Mason took a deep breath and nodded vigorously. Then he briefly explained James' identity to Nolan. In fact, he knew Nolan was just pretending to be ignorant. This matter had caused such a stir that it was impossible for individuals in the aristocratic circle not to know.

Today, he and Yosef had traveled a long way to seek Nolan's help.

Now, James was with the National Security Agency, making it difficult for them to take action.

After explaining, Mason said, "This James is highly skilled in martial arts but extremely arrogant and conceited. Recently, I heard he was involved in a scandal and was expelled from his family by Alistair. Now, inexplicably, he has become a combat instructor at the National Security Agency. Mr. Lawson, Mr. Lewis and I came here mainly to ask for your help."

After listening, Nolan didn't respond immediately but remained silent for a while. Then he smiled wryly and said, "Mr. Percy, Mr. Lewis, this is not an easy favor to ask. As you said, this James is from the Smith family and now has ties with the National Security Agency. It's really difficult to help."

After speaking, he shook his head, looking troubled.

Mason and Yosef, being shrewd individuals, could see through Nolan's act. He said it was difficult to help, not that he couldn't help, just to raise the price.

They exchanged a glance, and then Mason took out a gift box from his pocket, presenting it to Nolan, saying, "Mr. Lawson, we won't let you help for nothing. This is a top-grade pearl with a long history. I heard your father likes antiques, so this is a small token of my appreciation. After the matter is settled, I will send more gifts."

Yosef also took out an exquisite gift box and handed it to Nolan, containing another valuable treasure.

Nolan's troubled face broke into a smile, and he hypocritically said, "Oh, Mr. Percy, Mr. Lewis, what are you doing? We are good friends. If I can help, how can I take your things? Take them back, take them back."

Although he said this, he honestly took the gifts and examined them.

Mason and Yosef despised him inwardly but smiled and spoke hypocritically.

Nolan, unable to refuse their kindness, reluctantly accepted the gifts. Then he coughed twice and said seriously, "Actually, this favor is not impossible."

Mason and Yosef perked up, waiting for Nolan's words.

Nolan continued, "Although James has become a combat instructor at the National Security Agency and was awarded the rank of CAPT, it's ultimately a nominal position. Coincidentally, my brother Sidney is a military king with the rank of Rear Admiral Lower Half, one rank higher than James."

He paused here.

"Coincidentally, the military is about to hold a new competition for the title of military king. If James dares to participate, with Sidney's strength, killing James would be a piece of cake," Nolan said confidently.

Mason and Yosef were overjoyed, "Then we leave it to you, Mr. Lawson!"

Yosef thought for a moment and said, "Mr. Lawson, as far as I know, James is highly skilled in martial arts, seemingly at the fourth stage of a martial artist. I'm not doubting Mr. Sidney Lawson's abilities, but can Mr. Sidney Lawson really handle James?"

Nolan glanced at Yosef disdainfully and said, "You don't need to worry about that. As long as Sidney takes action, it will be a done deal. The only trouble is, if Sidney really kills James, it will somewhat affect his career. This cost..."

At this point, Mason and Yosef knew what he meant. They were inwardly angry but outwardly flattering, agreeing to raise the price.

At this moment, a voice sounded from behind them.
