Chapter 641 The Outbreak of the Great War 1
"Charge!"
Almost at the same time, battle horns blared from three other directions. Some of the attackers were packing heat, and a few even had rocket launchers.
With a thunderous boom, a bomb hit the stone gate on the east side, making it shake. Seeing the damage, the group ditched the fancy methods James had used to unlock the gate and went for the straightforward approach, bombing it over and over.
Inside the eastern division, the constant explosions were deafening. The burly leader of the eastern division roared, "Go check it out! What the hell are those bastards up to?"
Just as he finished speaking, a low-ranking assassin rushed in and dropped to his knees. "Boss, it's bad! They're bombing our entrance, and it can't hold much longer."
"What? Damn it!"
The leader, dressed in simple clothes, stood up abruptly and barked at his men, "Since these idiots wanna die, let's go out and slaughter 'em!"
Immediately, a large group of assassins from the eastern division poured out from another exit. "You scum, Alistair is here!"
The eastern division leader roared and swiftly killed one of the attackers with a single strike. But before he could continue, a cane swung towards his back. He twisted his body, releasing a powerful burst of Qi that forced his attacker to retreat.
The one attacking the eastern division leader was the elder leading the coalition against them. He now wielded a strange cane that made a sharp sound when it struck the ground.
"Juan Stewart, leader of the eastern division, today you will pay for killing my disciple."
Juan chuckled, "So it's you, Albert Sanchez of the Solstice clan. What, is your Solstice clan looking to be wiped out?"
Albert paused, then sneered, "Daphne Morgan, lend me a hand!"
As soon as Albert finished speaking, another elderly figure appeared beside him. Seeing the two of them, Juan's arrogant expression vanished, replaced by a serious look. "Well, well, Solstice is really going all out this time. Both of your top-tier fighters are here. Looks like you're courting death!"
With that, Juan suddenly accelerated, aiming a strike at their heads. Albert and Daphne smirked, their Qi surging as they countered with a palm and a cane.
With a loud crash, the three clashed. Albert and Daphne took a step back, while Juan was forced to retreat several steps. Stopping, Juan looked at them in shock. "You... you're using a combined attack technique?"
Ignoring Juan's question, the two turned into blurs and charged at him again. Albert's voice echoed through the forest, "Kill all members of the Godslayer Organization!"
Similar scenes played out in other directions. Each leader of the Godslayer Organization faced at least two top-tier fighters, leaving them almost defenseless.
On the western front, the battle was raging. The lower-level fighters were holding their ground, thanks to the National Security Agency's well-coordinated efforts, matching the western division's forces blow for blow.
But the higher-ups were struggling. The three top-tier fighters of the western division were insanely powerful, even overpowering the four top-tier fighters from the National Security Agency, making a comeback nearly impossible.
With a loud crash, Sidney and another top-tier fighter named Ron barely managed to block a strike from the western division leader, both of them stumbling back several steps.
"You think you low-level fighters can take on the Godslayer Temple? You're asking for death!"
The western division leader sneered, glancing at James, who was sitting in front of the stone gate, seemingly in a trance. In a flash, he charged at James.
Sidney was alarmed. "Ron, stop him!"
Ron, understanding how crucial James was, immediately moved to block the leader. With a loud crash, the leader's punch sent Ron flying, blood spraying from his mouth as he crashed into a pile of leaves.
Sidney arrived just in time, glancing at the fallen Ron with concern but focusing on protecting James.
Everyone was so caught up in the battle that no one noticed Ron's blood seeping into the leaves and disappearing. But Ron, lying on the ground and coughing up blood, saw it and was stunned.
Meanwhile, the western division leader saw Sidney blocking his path to James and growled, "Get out of my way!"
Sidney smirked and launched an attack at the leader.
With a shout, Sidney channeled his Qi to its peak, sending a blurry palm strike at the leader. The leader paused, then sneered and countered Sidney's attack.
With a loud explosion, the ground around the leader shattered, leaves flying everywhere and obscuring Sidney's view. He knew his strongest move could only lightly injure the leader, if at all.
Suddenly, Sidney felt a chill as a killing intent washed over him. He saw a blurry figure aiming for his chest. His protective Qi slowed the attack for a moment, but it broke through, piercing his body.
With a grunt, Sidney twisted slightly, avoiding a fatal blow to his heart, but blood still sprayed from his back.
Kneeling on one knee, Sidney trembled with pain. Despite his severe injuries, he glared at the western division leader.
As the leaves settled, the leader's figure emerged. His blood-red robe was torn from Sidney's attack, revealing his hideous face.
Seeing the leader's face, Sidney's eyes widened in shock—not because of fear, but because the leader was incredibly ugly!
