Chapter 545 Happiness
This time, this kiss was gentler and more heartfelt than before.
Perhaps there was no other couple in the world like them, married for years yet never having had sex, living in the same room every day yet remaining strangers.
They had once thought their marriage was a complete tragedy, destined to have no future.
Jennifer had never considered giving herself to James. She had a cleanliness obsession about it and didn't love James. For a long time, she would rather give her first time to a cucumber than to James. The thought of being with James made her nauseous.
Even James felt the same way.
Over the years, Jennifer's attitude towards him had been terrible. Before he had proven himself, Jennifer had a deep-seated disgust and disdain for him. Over time, he also lost any affection for Jennifer. If it weren't for the five-year period ending and the seal on him being lifted, their relationship would never have improved.
Now, after everything that had happened, Jennifer and James had finally come together.
Though this day had arrived more than five and a half years late, it was still undeniably worthwhile.
James's movements were as gentle as could be.
Strangely, before touching Jennifer, he had been eager, but once he kissed her, he calmed down and silently enjoyed everything.
At first, Jennifer could keep pace with James, but after a while, she was out of breath.
Her body's uncontrollable reactions made her clamp her legs together.
As time passed, James untied Jennifer's towel and, under the light, admired her incomparable body.
Jennifer looked at James's infatuated gaze, slowly let go of her hands, and softly said, "Honey, am I beautiful?"
"Beautiful! Marvelous!" James said earnestly, as if examining the most perfect artwork in the world, unable to take his eyes off her.
"Then what are you waiting for?" Jennifer hooked her arms around James's neck.
No words could be more seductive!
James's breathing became rapid, and then he began...
Jennifer gripped the bedsheet, welcoming their first sex.
Tears slowly flowed from the corners of her eyes.
James noticed her tears but failed to grasp their significance. Had he known the truth that Jennifer was concealing, he certainly wouldn't have remained so indifferent.
Finally, James and Jennifer took that step.
At that moment, they both felt immense satisfaction.
Since it was Jennifer's first time, James was very gentle.
Jennifer held James tightly, and from an angle where James couldn't see, her tears flowed again. It was unclear whether she was happy or something else.
Considering it was Jennifer's first time, James didn't overindulge. He loved this woman deeply and couldn't bear to let her suffer even a bit.
Finally, after about half an hour, James ended the lovemaking. He held Jennifer, kissed her gently on the lips, and said, "Honey, thank you."
Jennifer nodded, "I have the same feeling."
James noticed the tears on Jennifer's face and asked with concern, "Honey, why are you crying? Did I hurt you just now? It's all my fault! I must hurt your feelings."
Jennifer clasped his hands, shook her head, and explained, "No, you didn't hurt me earlier. You allowed me to experience the essence of being a woman, something I had never felt before. James, thank you."
James felt something was off with Jennifer, but he couldn't pinpoint the feeling.
James smiled, "This is what we should do as a married couple. There's no need to thank me. If anyone should be thanking someone, it should be me thanking you. You're such a beautiful woman, willing to marry an ordinary guy like me."
Feeling James's tenderness, Jennifer felt even more distressed. Her eyes reddened again. She wished she could keep up the perfect facade, but she realized she had overestimated herself.
To prevent James from noticing her distress, she quickly turned around and said, "I'm tired, I'm going to sleep."
James was taken aback. In James's eyes, Jennifer shouldn't have this unusual reaction.
His intuition told him Jennifer had something on her mind.
Recalling the events of the day, he felt increasingly uneasy.
So he hugged Jennifer from behind and whispered, "Jennifer, what's wrong? If you have something on your mind, tell me. We're a couple; don't bear it alone."
Hearing James's words, Jennifer bit her lip, hating herself for becoming more sentimental and fragile.
Finally, James sensed something was wrong. He quickly turned her around and saw her face full of tear stains, which pained him. "What's wrong? Why are you crying?"
Suddenly, James thought of something terrible. His face turned a bit pale as he said, "Do you regret it?"
Jennifer quickly raised her head, shook it, and said, "I'm not. How could I regret it? No, I do regret it. I regret not giving myself to you earlier."
She was a bit incoherent. James looked at her intently, confirming she didn't regret it, and felt relieved. He softly said, "Then why are you crying?"
Jennifer bit her lip, looked at James's face, and couldn't help but ask, "James, will you remember me forever?"
"Of course! Even if I forget myself and the whole world, I won't forget you!" James said solemnly.
"Thank you." Jennifer nodded lightly, her face once again breaking into a smile. It seemed that James's words had resolved all her worries. She proactively hooked her arms around James's neck, then surprisingly flipped over, sitting on top of James. Blushing, she shyly yet boldly said, "Honey, let's do it again!"
"Huh? But you..." James voiced in shock.
Jennifer interrupted him, saying, "This time, I want to try being on top."
With that, Jennifer took him in.
