Chapter 409 Sex That Came Five Years Late

James's heart skipped a beat, his breathing quickened, and he felt his body heat up.

Even though he and Jennifer had been married for five years, they had never slept together. The closest they got was that one time when James lost control and pinned Jennifer down.

That was it; they kept things pretty innocent.

Even though they were married, it was like they were still just dating. They were both nervous and excited, hearts pounding.

"Do you not want to?" Jennifer asked, sounding a bit let down when James didn't say anything.

James quickly replied, "No, that's not it."

"Then why haven't you held me yet?" Jennifer's voice was so soft, like a whisper. If the room wasn't so quiet, James might not have heard her.

Hearing that, James felt a rush of excitement, his breath hot.

Nothing was more tempting than those words. James was a guy full of energy. He'd always held back because he didn't want to hurt Jennifer. But now, he was all in, so why be shy?

James turned to face Jennifer. The room was dim, but not pitch black. A nightlight and the moonlight streaming through the curtains gave them enough light to see each other.

They saw the sparkle in each other's eyes, a mix of nerves and anticipation.

Jennifer's eyes were sparkling too. With just a thin blanket covering her, her graceful figure stood out, making her look so alluring and full of charm.

James suddenly felt a bit silly for not daring to be with such a beautiful woman by his side. At the same time, he felt lucky to have such a pure love, something not everyone could get. The more powerful someone was, the harder it was to find. It was a rare treasure.

Maybe it was a case of gain and loss. Poor folks envied the freedom of the rich, but often the rich found it harder to find pure love.

James came from a prominent family. He knew better than anyone how rare pure love was in those circles. Even his parents had an arranged marriage and didn't love each other. Many other couples in the family were always scheming against each other.

But now, James had found true love, and he felt really lucky.

He smiled and moved closer to Jennifer. The already short distance between them disappeared. James gently placed his hand on Jennifer, wrapping his arm around her waist.

When he first touched her, Jennifer's body stiffened, and she got really tense. But slowly, she began to relax, looking at James bravely and softly saying, "Will you blame me?"

"Blame you for what?" James asked.

"For not doing what we should have done at our wedding five years ago, and only now being with you like this," Jennifer said with a hint of guilt in her voice, gently stroking James's face.

"It's okay," James said, grabbing Jennifer's hand and smiling. "We didn't love each other before. Even if we had slept together, it wouldn't have meant anything. Now, even if it's five years late, it's still special."

Hearing James's words, Jennifer's eyes filled with even more affection. She then mustered the courage to slowly move her lips close to James's face.

James got the hint, and his heart started racing again. Instinctively, he tightened his grip on Jennifer's waist, pulling her body closer to his.

The feeling was so amazing that James forgot everything else, reaching a state of pure joy. He wanted to stay like this forever.

The distance between them disappeared, and they could feel each other's breath. Finally, they kissed.

It was like two souls finding their home, merging together. Then came the merging of their bodies, driven by pure instinct.

James felt like his heart was soaring. His body temperature kept rising, and he wished he could merge Jennifer into his body, never to be separated again.

Jennifer, at first, managed to stay calm, only breathing a bit heavily. Gradually, her breathing became more labored. Initially, she could breathe through her nose. Soon she felt it wasn't enough, so she had to open her mouth and gasp for air.

Even though she had been married for five years, she was still a virgin and had never experienced anything like this.

With the imminent act of sex, her emotions were complex—nervous, scared, anxious, expectant, and sweet.

She was most grateful that she was still a virgin and could give her complete self to James at her most gorgeous and blossoming age.

Before James's transformation, she thought she would never find love and pop the cherry for the rest of her life. She felt so lucky to have found love after all these experiences.

It seemed like destiny; she was meant to be James's woman. A marriage she had once despaired of had, after trials, led to love between her and James.

Now, Jennifer didn't want to think about anything else. She just wanted to finally consummate their marriage and truly become James's woman.

With this thought, she surrendered to James's gentle yet passionate kiss, tightly wrapping her arms around his neck.

However, just as they were about to take the next step, Jennifer's phone suddenly rang, right under her pillow.

The sudden ringtone was so loud and shocking in the quiet room that it startled them both instantly.

They both jolted, feeling like they had been doused with ice water, and the mood was significantly dampened.

Especially for James, it was the most uncomfortable. If he weren't physically strong, this sudden interruption might have caused him to lose his sexual function.

Neither of them had experienced this before, making the atmosphere a bit awkward. The phone kept ringing, getting louder and louder.

Jennifer had no choice but to answer the call.
