Chapter 519 Brent In a Fit Of Rage

Walter's words were firm and shocked everyone.

Even Brent frowned, finding the situation tricky.

In terms of strength and status, Brent wasn't afraid of Walter, but he couldn't crush him easily, either.

Given the current situation, Brent couldn't do anything about James for the time being. It wasn't that he feared a fallout; he just didn't have the strength.

Everyone looked at Brent, waiting to see what decision he would make.

At that moment, a voice announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, please take your seats. The auction is about to begin."

With this, Brent breathed a sigh of relief and said heavily, "You're lucky. The auction is starting. I'll deal with you later!"

Brent finally found an excuse.

Similarly, Walter and Michael also breathed a sigh of relief. They were really afraid that Brent would lose his temper and fight recklessly, which would be bad.

On the other hand, many of the onlookers were disappointed. For them, the more drama, the better.

Tobias was the most confused. What was going on? James was so arrogant, and Brent just let him go? That didn't make sense!

James's expression didn't change at all. He quietly watched Brent leave, deep in thought.

Although the fight didn't happen, it was enough to make people remember him. Many were inquiring about who James was, daring to confront Brent so directly without fear of death.

"James, this Brent is the second son of the Lewis family. He's very powerful, and it's not wise to make a move against him in public. It would cause a lot of trouble," Walter hinted, worried that James might act impulsively.

Michael also chimed in, "Yeah, James, you need to stay calm. Revenge is a dish best served cold."

James smiled faintly and said, "Don't worry, I won't act recklessly."

His words were meaningful, but Walter and Michael misunderstood, thinking James had backed down.

"James, the auction is starting. Let's find a seat. I heard there are some really good items up for bid this time," Walter said.

Michael added, "Yeah, that's the word. This auction should have some surprises."

James followed them to their seats.

On Brent's side, the atmosphere was much more somber.

Brent stormed back to his private room and kicked a table, smashing it in his rage. "James, you bastard! How dare you be so arrogant in front of me? Who gave you the courage? I want you dead! I want you dead!"

Brent was furious. It had been a long time since he had been this angry. James's actions today were a slap in his face, a huge blow to his dignity! He could already imagine how people would talk about him after this.

"And Michael, Walter, you dare to go against me and protect James? I'll take you all down one by one!" Brent didn't hide his anger. His face was twisted, far from his usual handsome appearance.

Everyone else felt his fury and trembled, not daring to make a sound.

Tobias had just entered and was about to speak when Brent's cold glare and a slap sent him flying. He landed on the ground, crying out in pain,. Brent shouted, "Get out!"

Tobias was terrified. Brent's slap had left him stunned and trembling with fear. He endured the pain and ran out in a panic.

After Tobias left, Brent was still furious. He grabbed Aimee and pushed her down.

Aimee's face changed immediately. She knew that besides her and Brent, there were several subordinates in the room, and most importantly, her father Rhys was also there.

Rhys turned his head, his mouth twitching. Brent was showing him no respect.

Aimee whispered, "Brent, can we do this later? It's not convenient now."

But Brent, consumed by anger, coldly ordered, "Shut up and do it!"

Brent began tearing at Aimee's clothes.

Rhys's face turned ugly. Brent was outrageous. After all, he was Aimee's father and present at the scene!

If it were anyone else, Rhys would have kicked them out long ago. But this was Brent, so he had to swallow his anger and leave in humiliation.

However, Brent said, "Mr. Johnson, where are you going?"

Rhys forced a smile and said, "I'm going to the restroom."

"You're not allowed to go," Brent ordered, a sinister smile on his face. "Watch."

Rhys felt unprecedented humiliation.

Aimee's eyes reddened. She pleaded, but Brent's violent response was, "Don't make me mad."

Knowing Brent's temper, Aimee could only endure the humiliation in tears.

As her father, Rhys was furious, his body trembling violently!

But Rhys couldn't afford to offend Brent, so he closed his eyes and stood there like a wooden statue.

Only Brent's other subordinates knew his terrible temper and violent nature, often doing unacceptable things.

After five minutes, Brent's anger finally subsided.

He kicked Aimee away. By then, the auction had officially started.

Aimee's face was tear-streaked. She and her father Rhys exchanged a look, seeing the sorrow and anger in each other's eyes. They both blamed James for this humiliation. If it weren't for that bastard James, Brent wouldn't have taken it out on them.

With new and old grudges combined, they wished even more for James's miserable death.

This auction was quite grand, with many attendees. The first item was an antique, with an opening bid of fifteen million dollars..

Everyone knew the real treasures were yet to come, so they didn't bid much. The antique was finally sold to a wealthy buyer for twenty million dollars.
