Chapter 442 You Are All Sick
Anyway, the boss behind him was also from the Smith Family, so there was nothing to fear.
With this thought, he felt assured. 'Go ahead and keep showing off. You'll be regretful!'
After the waiter took the order, the atmosphere in the private room became awkward, not at all like a normal dinner gathering.
After a moment of silence, Quade shifted the topic to James. "Mr. Smith, I have heard from Brandy that your medical skills are quite impressive?"
"My medical skills are indeed quite impressive," James replied with a smile.
Quade was taken aback, not expecting James to be so shameless and not even a bit modest.
"In that case, could you take a look at us and see if we have any symptoms?" Quade asked.
James refrained from responding; instead, he lifted his glass and took a sip.
Seeing James' behavior, they all thought he was a fraud with no real skills. After all, any normal person knew that medical skills required experience; the older the doctor, the better their skills. Conversely, no matter how talented a young person was, they couldn't be better than an experienced doctor.
James appeared to be merely twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old and seemed to possess an honest demeanor, leading one to believe that his actual medical expertise might not be exceptionally advanced.
Their initial scheme was to intoxicate Brandy and place her in the president's bed, but James' formidable presence diverted their focus to him instead.
Brandy was also curious to see James' medical skills. Although she knew James was highly skilled, she had never seen him practice medicine and was quite eager to witness it.
Quade continued, "Mr. Smith? Didn't you say your medical skills are impressive? Why aren't you saying anything now? Is it because you can't diagnose without medical equipment?"
James leisurely sipped his tea and addressed Quade, "It's not that I'm unable to see it; I simply wished to spare you some dignity. The ailments you all suffer from would cause you embarrassment if I were to disclose them."
As James spoke, he glanced at each of them with a meaningful expression, making it seem like Quade and the others had some unspeakable diseases.
A young man next to the president sneered, "Don't look at us like that. You're just a teacher, not some miracle doctor. If you have the guts, tell us what embarrassing conditions we have."
All eyes turned back to James.
Brandy, a top student at a medical university, had not only studied textbooks but also started practicing as early as her sophomore year. She could treat common ailments and was the best in her class at diagnosing conditions. Yet, she couldn't see any embarrassing conditions in Quade and the others, only some sub-health issues at most.
The others likewise mocked James, presuming he was merely boasting without possessing any genuine expertise. They remained unconvinced that they harbored any illnesses.
James slowly put down his wine glass and said to the young man, "You have severe hemorrhoids and bleed a lot every day."
Instantly, the young man's expression froze, staring at James. Clearly, James had struck a nerve. He did indeed suffer from severe hemorrhoids and had visited several prominent hospitals without finding a remedy.
But he had never heard of diagnosing hemorrhoids just by looking, without any medical instruments.
The others were also stunned. Judging by the young man's expression, they knew James was right.
The young man quickly retorted, "You're talking nonsense! I don't have hemorrhoids! This just shows your character—you have no skills and are slandering me out of anger?"
James, not getting angry, and said with a smile, "Your hemorrhoids are severe, causing excruciating pain every time you defecate. You'd better eat a lighter diet, or it will get worse."
Then, without pausing, he turned to Quade and said, "As for you, you also have hemorrhoids, but not as severe. Your main issue is gastritis, which causes intense pain during flare-ups."
James went on, diagnosing each person accurately, causing their faces to change color.
Finally, he looked at the president, shook his head, and said, "As for you, you have the most conditions, such as hemorrhoids, diabetes, and eczema."
With this, the president's face changed dramatically. He coughed twice and said, "Don't talk nonsense. I don't have these conditions. If you keep talking, you'll be in trouble!"
He glared at James angrily and was also furious with Quade for bringing up this topic.
However, he was secretly amazed at James' medical skills, as he had accurately described his conditions.
James smiled and said, "Your most serious issue is sexual dysfunction and prostate failure. If you don't take care of it and exercise, it will become more than just a sexual problem."
The president trembled violently. He wanted to refute James but couldn't find the excuses as deeply shocked as he was. This secret was known only to him and the women he had been with. How did James know?
Could his medical skills really be so advanced that he could diagnose just by looking?
The president's face grew even darker.
Fortunately, at that moment, the private room door opened, and the waiter came in with the food, alleviating some of his embarrassment.
Not only him, but Quade and the others felt similarly. James had alluded to their embarrassing conditions, which, while not serious, were humiliating, particularly in the presence of Brandy, a beautiful woman.
Their animosity towards James grew, and they were determined to make him look bad when it came time to pay the bill.
Now that money was involved, and a significant amount at that, if James couldn't come up with the money, it wouldn't just be verbal taunts; they would take action to punish him!
Brandy looked at James with a bit of awe, unable to contain her excitement. Despite James' flamboyant personality, his medical skills were genuinely impressive. Just by looking at their complexion, he could diagnose their conditions. Amazing.
Realizing that James was not easy to deal with, they stopped confronting him and turned their attention to Brandy. Juniper led the toast, filling a glass to the brim. "Brandy, here's to your bright future!"
Brandy frowned. She was not fond of drinking and had a low tolerance, yet she couldn't decline Juniper's toast. She raised her glass and clinked it with Juniper's.
However, she only took a small sip instead of drinking it all.
Juniper downed his drink in one gulp and said displeased, "Brandy, what are you doing? Drink it all!"
