Chapter 590 Amara

Neil's mouth quivered a few times, his expression changing as if he wanted to say something, but in the end, he didn't.

Lisa personally helped Neil up, "I don't like you. Forcing us to be together is also disrespectful to you."

Neil interrupted Lisa, "Drop it, I understand."

The others, witnessing this scene, silently sighed, feeling a sense of pity for Neil and Lisa. In their eyes, Neil and Lisa were a match made in heaven.

As for James, after leaving here, he instantly headed straight for Starglade County.

Vanquishing Neil was but a minor affair for him, stirring barely a ripple in his heart. As for Lisa, she left a faint impression on him, but nothing beyond that.

James did hope that Jennifer, Dennis, and Kaitlyn were still there.

"Jennifer, leaving me, is that really good for me?" James muttered.

An hour's drive, James believed he would arrive soon.

Jennifer hadn't rested well these past few days.

Leaving James was an excruciating ordeal for her, akin to a fish being deprived of water or a penguin torn from the Antarctic. Each passing moment was an agonizing torment.

But she had no choice.

That woman named Lisa, a woman far more outstanding than her, personally found her and told her about James's situation.

From childhood to adulthood, Jennifer had always possessed absolute confidence in her appearance. There was a time when she believed that no one in the world could surpass her beauty, at best on a par with her. That was until she met Lisa, and for the first time, she felt a pang of self-doubt.

And Lisa was actually James's fiancée, a wealthy lady from a prominent family in the City of Mysteries, who casually gave away a mansion worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

All of this was something she couldn't compare to.

Thus, she made the most arduous decision of her life, one that was a hundred times more difficult than her initial resolve to marry James. She decided to leave James entirely, to relinquish him forever.

Before leaving, she gave her first coitus to James, fulfilling her duty as a wife.

That night she was truly happy, an experience she had never had before, and it was worth it.

Afterwards, she only wished for James to return to his original life path, to live out the brilliance and splendor he deserved.

As for her, she would never marry again in this lifetime, silently growing old.

She anticipated that James would come looking for her, so she changed her name. She was no longer Jennifer; she was now Amara.

With Lisa's help, she came to a small town in Starglade County, planning to return to a southern city after some time.

She refused the large sum of compensation Lisa offered for leaving James. She still had some savings, and after arriving in Starglade County, she didn't waste any time. After settling her parents, she started working at a nearby clinic as a low-key physician.

Only when she fully immersed herself in her work could she keep her mind active and avoid thinking about James. Otherwise, the longing was too intense, too tormenting.

Today, like the past few days, she stayed late at the clinic.

She was too beautiful, with an excellent temperament. Even though she had lost a lot of weight, she still had immense charm, outshining many women. So, just a few days into her job, she already had quite a few suitors.

Including the young and promising son of the clinic's owner, as well as local wealthy men.

Today, as Jennifer stayed late at the clinic, someone was waiting for her.

"Amara, you must be hungry. I made a reservation at a restaurant. Let's go eat," a handsome man in a suit approached Jennifer and said gently.

Jennifer shook her head and politely declined, "No need, I'll just eat at home. My parents made dinner for me."

The handsome man immediately frowned and said, "Amara, I've asked you out so many times, why do you keep rejecting me? Do I look that annoying to you?"

Jennifer smiled slightly, "Preston Wright, actually, I'm married. You don't need to waste your time on me."

Jennifer took out a diamond ring from her bag, her eyes flickering for a moment, then she put it on her finger.

Preston's pupils contracted, feeling a bit disappointed. Then he laughed nonchalantly, "What are you thinking? Whether you're married or not has nothing to do with me. I just treat you as a regular friend. Besides, it's just a meal. Are you afraid I'll do something inappropriate?"

Jennifer still refused, "Sorry, I promised my husband I wouldn't go out to eat alone with other men. Please understand."

With this, Preston's face started to appear unpleasant. He wasn't a man of high character; he was a playboy who had been with countless women, including many married ones.

But none of the women he had been with could compare to Jennifer. The first time he saw Jennifer, he was stunned by her beauty and swore to himself that he would get her into bed and ravage her.

He had ravaged no less than two hundred women and could tell at a glance that someone like Jennifer would be very satisfying in bed!

However, he wasn't a patient man. Relying on his family's wealth and his good looks, he usually quickly conquered his targets, whether they were married women or young girls.

But Jennifer's constant refusal was wearing his patience thin.

Now, after all his preparations and dressing up so handsomely, Jennifer still rejected him without a second thought. He was furious, and his face showed it. "Amara, it's just a meal! And I've already reserved a spot at the restaurant. Do you look down on me by constantly rejecting me?"

Jennifer immediately frowned, her impression of Preston plummeting.

"I don't look down on you. I just can't have a meal with you. If you don't understand, there's nothing I can do. Please step aside, don't block my way. I need to go home," Jennifer said calmly, then started to walk around Preston.

Preston's mouth twitched as he looked at Jennifer's exquisite, beautiful face and her sexy, hot body. His inner fire ignited. With no one else in the clinic, he lost all restraint, spreading his arms and lunging at Jennifer, intending to rape her.
