Chapter 65 Family Fight
Tony spoke loudly, glaring at James as if he were a villain.
James's expression was strange. It seemed that Tony had been deceived by Leonard. How would he react when he found out that Leonard not only fooled around outside but also contracted syphilis?
Leonard's current expression was extremely vivid. A wave of changing expressions such as regret, anger, shame, and fear were noticed on his face. He almost wanted to disappear like fog from fear of being exposed.
Kayla, witnessing Leonard's reaction, confirmed her suspicions. Her heavily made-up face contorted gradually, teeth clenched, eyes blazing with fury. But this time, her anger was not directed at James but at Leonard.
Suddenly, a slap landed heavily on Leonard's face, knocking him to the ground, his glasses falling off.
This sudden turn of events startled Tony, leaving him dumbfounded.
Kayla erupted, "Leonard, you better tell me all the dirty things you have done! What have you done behind my back?!"
Leonard, after receiving the slap, was about to explode but restrained himself upon seeing the murderous look in Kayla's eyes. He shouted, "Kayla, are you out of your mind? Why did you hit me for no reason?!"
He couldn't admit it, not in a million years!
Dennis and Kaitlyn were also taken aback. They never expected Kayla to hit Leonard directly.
Thinking about it, they all turned to James. James shrugged helplessly and said, "Don't blame me, they forced me to speak."
At this moment, Tony was utterly dumbfounded. He had just been lecturing James, and the next moment, this happened. Kayla's slap felt no different from receiving one on his own face.
Kayla, with eyes ablaze, delivered another slap to Leonard, "Do you dare lie to me?! You, damn it, I've been taking care of the kids at home every day, almost getting depressed, and you dare to go out and fool around, even contracted syphilis?! If you don't explain this clearly, I will kill you!"
Syphilis!
Tony heard these words, and his expression froze. Thinking back to James's words, he felt a burning sensation on his face. But then came the anger, an overwhelming anger. Leonard, this scoundrel, dared to fool around outside and bring back a disease such as syphilis!
The worst part was, it would have been better if it had been discovered at home. But it happened at his sister's house, exposed by James, a useless person... It was a huge embarrassment!
At that moment, Tony wished he could disappear. Just a while ago, he had proudly claimed that Leonard was an honest man, deeply in love with his daughter. And now this happened, it was like shooting himself in the foot!
An unprecedented rage surged through his chest, heaving, his eyes darkening, almost on the verge of passing out, gasping heavily.
James leisurely ate his meal, enjoying the spectacle before him.
Dennis and Kaitlyn, were not particularly fond of this family, which had been mocking them earlier. It seemed like karma had caught up with them.
As Leonard got up from the ground, he shouted, "Kayla, are you insane? Do you believe everything people say? Have you ever considered who James is? He can't even find a job, and you actually believe his words. What’s your brain made of?!"
James laughed at Leonard's serious but nonsensical demeanor. Even at this point, he dared to be defiant, which was quite commendable.
After Leonard's outburst, Kayla hesitated. She chose to believe Leonard and turned back to James; this made her think twice, then scolding him fiercely, "James! How dare you slander Leonard?!"
James spread his hands innocently and said, "Why would I slander Leonard? Check if he has developed a rash, oh, little red dots. And his private parts should be starting to itch and swell by now. If you don't believe me, you can check it."
Leonard looked flustered. He instinctively took a step back and rolled down his sleeves to cover the small red dots on his arms. Feeling the itch and pain as mentioned by James, he involuntarily clenched his legs.
Anyone with eyes could tell that he was feeling guilty.
Kayla, once again furious, rushed over and started grappling with Leonard.
She cursed at Leonard, "Leonard, you scoundrel! I trusted you as an honest man, taking care of the kids at home every day! You, damn it, dare to cheat me outside behind my back, I'll beat you up!"
"Kayla, you crazy woman, get the hell away from me!" Leonard yelled back defensively.
"You've crossed the line, you scoundrel! How dare you curse at me, I'll kill you!!" Kayla snapped viscously at him.
"Ouch, ahh!!" Leonard winced in pain.
Kayla bit down hard on Leonard's arm, drawing blood and causing him to scream in pain like a slaughtered animal.
James felt a chill down his spine. This was too brutal. Despite being relatives, he felt compelled to warn, "Kayla, you've drawn blood from Leonard, you might get infected."
However, Kayla gritted her teeth and cursed, "It's too late! I was infected by this scoundrel the other night!"
"Um... okay," James shuddered.
Leonard finally snapped. He no longer held back and delivered a resounding slap to Kayla's face, which caused her to spin in place. She fell to the ground, her hair scattered, and wailed in pain.
Leonard vented incessantly, "You dare to say that! If you don’t spend so much money, why do I need to work my ass off, go out every day to attend all the night events for a business like a fool?! And what happened the other night, I kept telling you I was tired, but you just didn’t give a damn, not even a comfort word, damn it!"
Leonard's eyes were bloodshot, his chest heaving with anger, on the brink of exploding.
The syphilis incident alone had been enough to make him feel miserable, but what happened now had crushed his whole mental state and made him completely break down!
During this period, the pressure on him had been immense. Due to poor management, his company had been running at a loss, accumulating a mountain of debt.
Being so concerned about his image, he dared not speak up, pretending to be busy with work every day, entertaining the big bosses, but now, he had gotten into trouble, contracting syphilis.
He blamed most of the responsibility on Kayla. This fat woman, after marriage, had been eating like a crazy animal, disgustingly so.
After receiving the slap and hearing his own words, Kayla burst into tears.
The worst part was that this happened in front of her aunt, whom she had always looked down upon. She was going crazy, losing her sanity, and throwing caution to the wind.
She lunged at Leonard, but being a woman, she stood no chance against him. After a few punches, she was knocked down.
Seeing this, Tony couldn't hold back and rushed over to grapple with Leonard. It turned into a chaotic brawl, a spectacular scene.
Just then, the door swung open, and Jennifer returned, stunned by the scene before her.
