Chapter 424 Ezra Wet His Pants
Walter was totally pumped because he was about to become James's student and finally break through as a martial artist.
He imagined himself way ahead of his peers in the industry, and those who disrespected him would regret it big time and never dare to mess with him again. Just thinking about it got him all fired up.
Ezra, on the other hand, was completely floored when he saw this.
He was instantly terrified.
Walter actually respected James so much that he even called him "Master Smith."
Ezra felt like his brain was short-circuiting like he couldn't catch his breath.
And it wasn't just him; the whole Johnson Family was stunned, their eyes wide with shock.
How the table had turned!
This young guy who showed up out of nowhere, whether it was his build, looks, or vibe, was way above Ezra.
Especially Ezra's reaction when he saw this guy—pure fear and inferiority. It was clear this guy's status was way higher than his.
And now, this guy who made Ezra shake in his boots was bowing to James and calling him "Master Smith"? It was insane, too unreal. They all thought they were seeing things.
Some even slapped themselves, "Ouch, this is real."
Then, more and more of them realized this wasn't a dream, it was actually happening.
They started to remember what Dennis had said—that James wasn't a fraud, that he knew a lot of big shots, had even saved Derek's life, and could make the Johnson Family disappear from Sunridge City with just one phone call.
To anyone, those words would sound impossible. After all, James looked so ordinary, his clothes were cheap, and he seemed like just a regular guy. How could he be a big shot? They all thought it was a joke and mocked him endlessly.
Who would've thought, James wasn't lying at all, every word he said was true!
Remembering this, all the Johnson Family members had a terrifying realization.
The Johnson Family was in deep trouble.
If they didn't handle this right, it could be the end of the family.
They were super proud and arrogant, but only towards regular folks. In front of a super family like the Jenkins Family, they were like ants, easily crushed without any consequences.
But how could this be?
What did Dennis have? He was just a loser, always a disgrace to the Johnson Family, kicked out of the family, and now brought back just to humiliate him. How could such a loser find such a powerful son-in-law?
Especially Valor, Dennis's father, who never acted like a father and treated Dennis worse than a servant.
Especially just now, when Dennis begged him, Valor wasn't moved at all. Instead, he said those cold and cruel words.
Valor was shaking like a leaf as if he was trapped in an ice cave, fear and regret washing over him completely.
Molly and the others looked like they were at a funeral, trembling with hearts ready to break.
Dennis and Kaitlyn were totally caught off guard, standing there in shock for several seconds.
They had been completely hopeless, but now the tables had turned. They were the ones on top, and seeing the Johnson Family so scared made them incredibly happy. The joy was overwhelming, and they couldn't calm down.
Jennifer, though, wasn't as surprised. She had always believed in James the most.
She had kind of seen this coming, so it wasn't a total shock. But her admiration, love, and gratitude for James were still overwhelming.
She watched him sitting there, calmly drinking tea, every move he made was so composed and charming. It was like the whole world was his chessboard, and that strategic charm was etched into her heart forever.
This was her husband, her true love.
She felt so proud to be married to him, it was like winning the lottery.
Especially since James had given up his chance to return to the Smith Family and inherit the family business for her.
At that moment, she was deeply moved, tears streaming down her face.
From the moment Walter ran to bow in front of James to everyone reacting, it was less than ten seconds.
All eyes were on one man, James.
Faced with Walter's sincere greeting, James didn't respond right away. He continued to make his tea, poured himself a cup, and took a slow sip.
His movements were slow and elegant, with a special charm. Anyone could see the noble aura he had.
Walter was super sincere but also really nervous. Since James hadn't responded yet, he was still bowing, afraid of displeasing him.
The atmosphere in the room was tense, everyone was on edge.
Finally, after half a minute, James spoke.
"Walter."
"Yeah," Walter responded quickly.
"Do you know why I was so eager to have you come over?" James's voice was calm, but to Ezra and the Johnson Family, it sounded like the whisper of death, filling them with fear.
Quick on the uptake, Walter soon remembered the background cursing on the phone and pieced it together.
With that, he said angrily, "Did someone offend you? Who is it? I'll take care of them right now!"
As Ezra heard this, his legs buckled, he collapsed to the ground, and wet his pants.
