Chapter 349 Something's Wrong with His Head

By now, the other four had already circled around James. James took a chill sip of his coffee and teased, "Y'all just gonna stand there? He might drown if you keep waiting."

They were totally caught off guard and just stood there, dumbfounded.

Ivan's desperate cries finally snapped them out of it. Keith pointed at James and yelled, "If you got the guts, don't run. I ain't letting you off easy."

James just rolled his eyes. Anyone hanging with Walter probably wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. "Alright, I ain't going anywhere," James said with a smirk.

'He's waiting for Walter here anyway. Where else can he go?' James thought.

Keith told the other three to keep an eye on James, then quickly stripped off his shirt and jumped into the artificial lake with a big splash.

However, he had overestimated how shallow the lake was. He hit the bottom headfirst and felt a sharp pain. Struggling to stand up, he realized the water only came up to his chest. Seeing Ivan still freaking out, he couldn't help but slap him, "Are you dumb? The water's so shallow, you can't drown in it. What are you screaming for? My head's killing me." Keith cursed.

Ivan, shocked by the slap, immediately stopped struggling and tried to stand up. "It's this shallow?" Ivan said, surprised.

James, watching from the shore, burst out laughing. These two clowns should really consider a comedy career. The other three couldn't help but laugh, too.

Soon, the two of them climbed out of the lake, soaking wet and glaring at James. "This is all your fault, you idiot. You made us fall in."

A gust of wind blew past, making them shiver. Their lips turned white, and they started sneezing uncontrollably.

"I'm freezing." They both started sneezing like crazy, already catching a cold.

James found it hilarious. These two were a riot. He hadn't seen people like this in ages.

"I suggest you head back quick, or you'll end up with a fever," James said, trying to be nice.

"Shut up, you idiot," Keith snapped.

Ivan shouted, "Enough of nonsense. Let's beat him up and then tell Walter to come get him."

"Yeah, good idea," Keith sneezed.

The other three started getting antsy, ready to jump James.

James looked at the five of them, who was too weak to make a proper fist, and felt speechless.

'Are these five here to be funny?' James thought. With their weak condition, James wouldn't need to break a sweat to take them all down.

For such weaklings, James had no desire to fight. It'd be an insult to him.

"Yo, boys, you better head home and grab a snack. You don't want me making you cry," James said, smirking.

"Damn, he's too cocky. Let's teach him a lesson," one of them growled.

"Yeah, this guy's way too full of himself," another chimed in, clearly pissed.

"Alright, who's going first?" one of them asked.

"Why don't you go first?" the others shot back.

They surrounded James, striking ridiculous fighting poses. James felt humiliated, being challenged by these five clowns.

Eventually, Keith, shivering uncontrollably from the cold wind, couldn't take it anymore and shouted, "Shut up. There's five of us and one of him. We can each land a punch and take him down."

With that, he started to move forward to attack James. But a single glare from James scared him back.

"Are you trying to take me to Walter?" James asked, curious.

"That's right," Ivan shouted. "You're surrounded. Surrender and come with us to save a beating. If we get angry, you'll be in big trouble." The others started cursing him too.

James said, "If you're trying to take me back to please Walter, forget it. Walter has to apologize to me himself."

Hearing this, they were stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter like they had heard the funniest joke ever.

"Did I hear that right? This idiot says Walter has to apologize to him? What a fool!" they jeered.

"Who does he think Walter is? Walter's a big deal in our world."

"This guy's brain is fried."

"Ivan, call Walter. I want to see how Walter apologizes to him," one of them said.

"Seeing Walter apologize to him? Maybe in another lifetime."

"That's impossible, even then," they mocked.

They laughed heartily, finally finding an outlet for their frustration and continuing to mock James.

James sighed. Why were they so different from him, even though they were from the same family?

Then, he suddenly looked in a direction and smiled, "You don't believe Walter will apologize to me? Well, he's here now. You don't have to wait for the next life. Here it is."

They followed James' gaze and saw Walter. Two bodyguards were getting out of a car and walking towards them.

Walter felt conflicted inside. He strode forward confidently at first. As he drew nearer, his steps faltered, his pace slowing to a hesitant shuffle.

Specially the mocking smile on James' face he made out from a distance was utter humiliation that made him feel like crawling into a hole.

Soon, he saw the five people looking at him excitedly and immediately frowned, feeling very annoyed.

This situation was a disgrace to him. The fewer people who saw it, the better. But now, these five idiots were here, making him even angrier.
