Chapter 365 She is James's wife

Jennifer freaked out and started backing away. Dennis saw her panic and lost it. He charged at Quillon but got shoved to the ground like a ragdoll.

Dennis, looking all kinds of pathetic, turned to Kael for help. But Kael just turned his back on him, averting his face.

Jennifer was a mix of pissed and scared. Stuck in that tight space, she couldn't do squat but watch Quillon get closer. The more he advanced, the more she wished James was there. James would totally have her back.

She was feeling desperate. She could handle a lot, but saving herself from the harassment of some thug was beyond her. She could betray James like this. She just wanted to save herself for James until he got back.

In their five years of marriage, she and James hadn't done the deed, which she regretted big time. Now, she wasn't about to let any other guy touch her.

In a panic, she grabbed an ashtray and chucked it at Quillon with all her might. "Go to hell!"

She missed, but it still freaked Quillon out. His face twisted in anger.

"You trying to hit me? I'm gonna kill you!" he yelled, speeding up towards her.

Dorian couldn't take it anymore and shouted, "Stop right there!"

He thought about James. If James found out he just stood by while Jennifer got harassed, James would totally wreck him. Therefore, he wouldn't even see it coming.

But if he stepped up and saved Jennifer, James would owe him big time. Helping James was way better than pissing off Quillon.

Dorian stepped up and blocked Jennifer. "Quillon, if you wanna live, don't touch her. She's Kieran's girl. You mess with her, you're dead meat. I'm not kidding," Dorian shouted, standing tall.

He felt a rush of excitement. Thought of James emboldened him

Quillon was rooted to the spot when he heard Kieran's name, fear flashing across his face. Kieran had beaten him up not long ago, leaving a scar on his psyche.

But then he thought, 'Who the hell is Kieran? The big boss of Lindwood City. These nobodies must've heard his name and are bluffing.'

Realizing this, he relaxed. "You think you can scare me with Kieran's name? What a joke. Even if Kieran was here, I'd make him kneel."

Just as Quillon finished running his mouth, the door to the private room got kicked open with a bang. A crew of people stormed in, and a cold voice cut through the tension, "Quillon, you got some nerve! You want me to kneel? Well, I'm here now. Let's see who kneels."

Hearing that angry, authoritative voice, Quillon went pale, his legs turning to jelly. Everyone else in the room jumped at Kieran's entrance, scrambling to stand aside and face the wall, hoping Kieran wouldn't notice them.

The sudden chaos startled Dennis and the others. Jennifer, seeing Kieran, was momentarily stunned. He looked familiar, like she'd seen him before. Then it hit her—this was the guy who had smacked Curtis at her college reunion and later got beaten by James.

Dorian, seeing Kieran, was first shocked but then got all excited and shouted, "Kieran! You're here, Kieran! Thank goodness, Kieran! We're saved!"

He never expected Kieran to show up. It was so sudden and thrilling. Kieran, spotting Dorian, was a bit surprised to run into him here. With a grim look, Kieran walked towards Quillon.

Seeing Kieran coming with a dozen people and remembering what he had just said, Quillon was terrified, his legs shaking. His earlier bravado vanished in an instant. "K-Kieran, w-why are you here?" Quillon stammered.

Kieran slapped him hard across the face, sending him crashing into a nearby table.

Still not satisfied, Kieran kicked him again, cursing, "You wanna die, don't you?"

Quillon, his body weakened by years of indulgence in drinking and women, felt immense pain from Kieran's beating. "Kieran, it's a misunderstanding," Quillon wailed.

Kieran didn't want to waste time on him and threatened, "I'll let you off this time. Be at my office at 8 am tomorrow. If you're late by a minute, I'll break your legs."

With that, he turned to leave. When he looked up, he saw Jennifer in front of him and was instantly captivated, reacting just like Quillon earlier.

He walked towards Jennifer, not recognizing her from their previous encounter due to the dim lighting. "Hey, beautiful, wanna have dinner with me?" Kieran piped up.

Dorian immediately had a strange expression and asked, "Kieran, don't you know who she is?"

Kieran had noticed Dorian but wasn't interested in him. He knew James and Dorian were just neighbors. He didn't pay much attention to Dorian. He also knew Dorian had been flaunting his name. He let it slide for James's sake, as long as Dorian didn't go too far.

"Is she your woman?" Kieran asked indifferently.

Dorian quickly shook his head. "No, someone like me doesn't deserve her."

"Then why are you talking to me?" Kieran snapped impatiently.

But just as he was about to flirt with Jennifer, Dorian dropped a bombshell that made him freeze.

"She's James's wife, Kieran. Aren't you afraid of making James angry by flirting with her?" Dorian said.
