Chapter 499 Calvin Is Going Crazy
Just when Jennifer was in a dilemma, she suddenly felt James writing on her thigh under the table: "Agree with him."
She was stunned for a moment, then relaxed. It turned out James wasn't drunk; he was just acting.
With that realization, she wasn't afraid anymore.
Jennifer didn't agree right away to avoid arousing Calvin's suspicion. She made a troubled expression, hesitated for a moment, then nodded and said, "Alright."
Calvin's eyes lit up when he heard her agree, and he couldn't hide the smile on his face. He nodded vigorously and said, "No trouble at all, we're friends after all."
Calvin emphasized the word "friends" with a meaningful expression on his face.
Next, Calvin called the waiter to settle the bill, then started to carry James on his shoulder, step by step, helping him out.
He found that James wasn't overweight, but his body was quite heavy, at least over 220 pounds. Normally, with an average muscle density, someone of James' build would weigh at most 176 pounds. How could he be over 220 pounds? Only a martial artist with increased bone and muscle density would weigh that much.
Just like him, he looked tall and thin but already weighed 180 pounds.
Suddenly, a thought flashed through his mind. Could James also be a martial artist, just pretending all along?
As soon as this thought came to him, he dismissed it.
That was impossible!
Calvin had carefully observed James before and found him to be just an ordinary person, with no trace of inner energy fluctuation. Even now, checking James' pulse, he found no energy fluctuation, confirming that James was just an ordinary person.
And to him, ordinary people were like ants, not worth fearing.
"Dr. Johnson, did you drive here?" Calvin asked after they exited the restaurant.
Jennifer shook her head and said, "We took a cab here. I'll just hail a cab back."
Calvin shook his head and said, "I drove here, and my car has plenty of space. You didn't drink, so you can drive my car back, and I'll get a driver to take me home."
"That would be too much trouble for you," Jennifer said.
"It's no trouble at all, what's the big deal?" Calvin's face lit up with a bright smile. He said, "It's decided then. My car is just ahead."
As he spoke, Calvin's eyes shifted, and he said to Jennifer, "Dr. Johnson, my car keys are in my pocket. I'm carrying James, so it's inconvenient for me. Would you mind getting them out for me?"
He looked serious, but inside he was thrilled. The car keys were in his left pocket, close to the inside, and his pants were quite tight. If Jennifer reached in, she might touch his private parts.
If Jennifer touched him, it would be like heaven!
Calvin was already looking forward to it.
Upon hearing his words, Jennifer's expression changed immediately. Being a perceptive woman, she could easily discern that Calvin was being flirtatious.
She said, "It's unsuitable for this. Since Dr. Allen can't get the keys out, I'll just take a cab."
Calvin panicked and regretted it immediately. He quickly explained, "Dr. Johnson, I didn't mean to flirt with you. Please don't misunderstand. I've had a bit too much to drink and can't speak properly. Please don't take it to heart! I'll adjust my position and get the keys out myself."
He adjusted his position and got the car keys out with his left hand.
At that moment, the supposedly unconscious James suddenly vomited, and since Calvin had adjusted his position, James' face was towards his neck. A large amount of vomit spewed directly onto Calvin!
Some even got inside Calvin's clothes.
In an instant, Calvin's face turned ashen, and he stood frozen for a full two seconds. Then, trembling and seething with rage, he gnashed his teeth!
He was about to lose his mind.
James, this useless guy, had vomited on him. It smelled awful, and the warm, sticky feeling made him so nauseous he almost vomited himself.
If it weren't for the mission, he would have killed James with a single blow!
Calvin had never suffered such humiliation.
Jennifer was also stunned, her eyes wide open.
Had James actually vomited on Calvin?
The scene was so awful she couldn't bear to look. It was too tragic.
At that moment, from an angle Calvin couldn't see, the unconscious James opened his eyes and winked at her.
The scene was so funny that Jennifer couldn't help but burst out laughing.
Calvin saw her laughing and felt even worse. His face stiffened, and his mouth twitched several times, looking as ridiculous as possible.
"Dr. Allen, I'm sorry," Jennifer explained.
At that moment, Calvin wanted to kill someone, but he couldn't show it. He had to endure it, and it was incredibly painful.
"It's fine. I will take a shower anyway," he said, feeling like his heart was bleeding as he spoke.
He handed the car keys to Jennifer, gritting his teeth, wanting to punch James a couple of times to vent his anger.
With thought, he decided against it. He was close to success and didn't want to risk it. If James screamed, it could complicate things.
So he had to endure it.
He kept telling himself that once the mission was over, he would teach James a lesson and make him suffer.
To Calvin's frustration, after finally getting James into the car, James vomited again, this time inside the car.
He was about to go crazy.
Endure, he had to endure!
A momentary lapse in patience could jeopardize the grand scheme, and after all, success was within his grasp.
Jennifer drove, and Calvin set up the navigation on his phone and handed it to her, saying, "Use my phone for navigation. I've already set it up."
Jennifer didn't think much of it and followed Calvin's navigation.
However, after driving for over ten minutes, she realized something was amiss. This wasn't the way to her house. She frowned and asked, "Dr. Allen, is your navigation correct? This doesn't seem like the way to my house."
"My navigation is correct, Dr. Johnson. Just keep going," Calvin said with an evil smile.
Jennifer realized something was amiss and wanted to turn around. At that moment, the two cars in front of her suddenly stopped. She couldn't brake in time and rear-ended them.
Immediately, several burly men got out of the two cars in front, looking aggressive.
