Chapter 134: Terry Changes His Mind

"You!"
Jennifer was furious and also felt very wronged. How dare James yell at her!
Why? She felt disappointed, thought that she was just concerned about James, so why did he dare to shout at her like that?
And at such an important occasion, didn't James know how crucial tonight's cooperation was for her?
At that moment, Jennifer was very angry, but more than that, she felt wronged, and she started to tear up. If it weren't for all the people around, she would have left right then and there.
She had even started to like James more, thinking he was no longer the person he used to be. But reality made her think she was wrong.
'Men are really no good,' she thought bitterly.
Jennifer was a very emotional woman, more than many others. She could stay calm under normal circumstances, but when her emotions were out of control, she would lose her rationality.
Terry and his group were even more delighted when they saw Jennifer's reaction, thinking they were halfway to success. They had thought it would be more difficult to deal with James, but he turned out to be a fool, saving them a lot of trouble.
In the next room, Curtis was laughing uncontrollably, extremely excited. "Jennifer, didn't you look down on me? Let's see how you escape from me tonight."
At this moment, his mind was already somewhat twisted.
After finishing his drink, James ignored Jennifer. He seemed to have made up his mind and actively sought out Terry and his group to drink. After several more drinks, his face wasn't just red; it was a bit pale, looking somewhat like alcohol poisoning.
His eyes were glazed, and he seemed unable to see clearly. His body was swaying, his speech was slurred, and his reactions were much slower. He was clearly as drunk as one could be, barely standing.
Seeing him like this, Jennifer bit her lip. Her anger subsided a bit, and she started to feel a bit sorry for him, cursing inwardly, 'This idiot, drinking so much!'
She didn't understand why James could drink so much with Jonathon and the others last time, but now his tolerance of alcohol seemed to have suddenly dropped.
Suddenly, she thought of something. 'Could it be that James was doing this for a reason?'
After all, based on his recent behavior, he didn't seem like an arrogant person.
She tried to ask James with her eyes, but he didn't respond, looking completely drunk. Finally, he shook his head and collapsed onto the table, completely passed out.
Terry and the other men exchanged glances, all showing evil smiles.
In the next room, Curtis was so excited that he stood up, paced back and forth, and rubbed his hands together.
Seeing James collapse, Jennifer started to panic a bit because now it was just her and a few men left in the room. If Terry and his group, fueled by alcohol, decided to make a move on her, she would be helpless.
"Mr. Smith is asleep, Dr. Johnson. How about we call it a night? We can continue our discussion tomorrow when we have more time."
Before Jennifer could say anything, Terry spoke up. He seemed very proper, not looking at her inappropriately. He didn't seem like Jonathon, who was lecherous, but rather a gentleman, which made Jennifer lower her guard a bit.
"Alright," Jennifer said apologetically. "Terry, I'm really sorry. My husband's poor drinking capacity has delayed our discussion."
Terry waved his hand and said, "Oh, it's nothing. Business can be discussed anytime. I see Mr. Smith as a nice guy. When he wakes up, don't be too hard on him."
Hearing Terry's words, Jennifer felt a bit guilty. It seemed she had misunderstood Terry. Not all men were like Jonathon and John, who coveted her beauty.
"Alright, I understand. I'm really sorry," Jennifer said politely.
Terry waved his hand generously, indicating it was no problem. Then he kindly suggested, "I see Mr. Smith is sleeping quite deeply and probably won't wake up for a while. How about my subordinates and I help carry Mr. Smith to your room?"
"That doesn't seem appropriate." Jennifer hesitated.
She had lowered her guard around Terry, but that didn't mean she completely trusted him. Especially given the recent events, she was much more cautious now.
"There's no need to trouble you. I'll ask the staff to help." Jennifer politely declined.
Terry didn't insist. He had ulterior motives, but he didn't push to reveal it. It wasn't that he was patient; it was because this restaurant was his, and everyone here worked for him! Besides, James was already drunk, and Jennifer, a fragile woman, wouldn't get away from him.
Terry had a plan; once everything was settled, Curtis would have sex with Jennifer first. After that, he would do the same thing as well.
Jennifer was not someone he wanted to miss out on.
So he wasn't in a hurry and said, "Alright, we'll be leaving then."
"Goodbye." Jennifer didn't notice the fleeting sinister and heated look in Terry's eyes as he left. She focused on James, seeing him dead drunk, and couldn't suppress her anger.
'This idiot is getting so drunk and even daring to yell at me!' she mumbled inwardly.
She made a resolute that when he woke up, she definitely wouldn't let him off easily.
Soon, Jennifer called two staff members, gave them twenty dollars, and had them carry James back to their room.
This hotel was a four-star hotel with guest rooms. Jennifer booked two deluxe single rooms and had the staff place James in one of them. Then, she returned to her room to take a shower.
She hadn't drunk much tonight, but her body was covered in the smell of alcohol, which was unbearable for someone with her level of cleanliness.
While she was showering, Terry had already met up with Curtis.
"Curtis, Jennifer went to room 808," Terry said with a smile, handing Curtis a room key.
Curtis's face turned red with excitement. He shouted "Great" three times, took the room key from Terry, and said, "Terry, you really did a great job for me! I'm impressed. Should I transfer the one million dollars directly to your account?"
"Curtis, just give me five hundred thousand dollars," Terry replied with a smile.
Curtis was puzzled. Terry was known for being greedy; why was he suddenly so agreeable?
"Terry, what's this about?" As a businessman, Curtis naturally didn't believe Terry would willingly take a loss.
Terry's face showed a lewd expression. He smiled and said, "Curtis, the remaining five hundred thousand dollars, let me have a turn with Jennifer. How about it?"
