Chapter 375 Trash
The karate expert spotted Walter and grinned like he just found his next plaything. "Not bad, man. Better than that chump from earlier, but you still ain't got a shot against me."
Walter let out a cold snort, eyes locked on his opponent. Instead of jumping in, he said, "Nice try with the trash talk. I'll give you ten minutes to catch your breath before we throw down, so you can't whine about me wining with an unfair victory."
Walter was all fired up, like a lion ready to pounce. You could practically feel his rage and hunger to win.
After his showdown with James earlier, a lot of folks in the crowd still believed in him and were cheering him on.
"Go get 'em! You gotta take down this cocky Skylantis dude!"
"Don't let us down, man. Show him what you're made of!"
The crowd was hyping Walter up again.
But some people, remembering how the boxing coach got wrecked earlier, weren't so sure about Walter's chances and were more skeptical.
Walter loved the spotlight. With everyone watching, especially Emberlyn in the crowd, he was more pumped than ever. If he could beat these Skylantis challengers, maybe Emberlyn would finally see him differently.
He glanced over at James, who was standing there looking all down and out. Walter thought, 'No matter how good James is with medicine, he's just a coward when it comes to defending our pride.'
Meanwhile, the karate expert strutted over with a smug grin. "Beating you is gonna be a walk in the park. Why would I need a break?"
He motioned for Walter to come at him, arrogantly saying, "I'll give you the first shot."
That cocky move made Walter's blood boil. His eyes went red, fists clenched, muscles ready to explode. A lot of the women in the crowd were totally into his ripped physique.
Walter was pissed. Being a hothead, he couldn't keep his cool and charged right at his opponent.
Compared to the boxing coach from before, Walter was on a whole different level. He was faster, stronger, and his fighting skills were way more polished. The look on the karate expert's face said it all; as Walter attacked, his smug expression turned serious.
Even though Walter wasn't a martial artist, his physical condition was top-notch. He'd been trained professionally since he was a kid, making him a beast among regular folks.
James gave a slight nod, showing some respect for Walter.
Even though Emberlyn wasn't a fan of Walter, she still rooted for him in this situation. No matter how annoying he was, they were in the same team here.
"James, you think Walter's got a shot?" Emberlyn asked, all nervous.
James shrugged, "Maybe. If he keeps his cool and doesn't fall for any tricks, he might pull it off."
"That's a relief," Emberlyn sighed, feeling a bit better.
But James quickly added, "But this guy's the weakest of the bunch. Even if Walter wins, it doesn't mean much."
Emberlyn's anxiety spiked, "What do we do then? We can't just let these Skylantis jerks show off and humiliate us. James, you should step in and teach them a lesson for our country."
James just said, "We'll see."
Meanwhile, up in the ring, Walter and the karate expert were going at it hard. They were pretty evenly matched, and it was clear this wasn't gonna be over quick.
The more they fought, the more they respected each other's strength. They got more serious and pumped, the thrill of a real challenge making them come alive.
The thump of fists hitting flesh echoed through the place, getting everyone's blood pumping.
As the fight got more intense, the crowd was glued to the action, eyes wide to catch every second of their fight.
Their fight was like something out of an action movie, full of raw, violent beauty.
But James found it boring and soporific. To him, this level of fighting was like watching kids scrap, full of mistakes and not interesting at all.
He even yawned, thinking that if Walter lost, he'd step in and handle these challengers himself.
Some folks noticed James's laid-back attitude and thought he was being way too cocky. After all, he had just got beat by Walter and he was yawning? It looked like he didn't care about national pride at all.
James knew what people were saying about him, but he didn't give a damn. He never cared about what others thought.
In the ring, after about ten minutes of intense fighting, neither could get the upper hand. Both were banged up, moving slower and breathing heavier.
Finally, Walter saw an opening, his eyes lighting up with excitement. He sped up and threw a heavy punch at his opponent's chest.
"Walter's done for," James sighed, feeling a bit regretful as he watched.
A lot of people heard him and shot him angry looks, ready to snap back when Walter got kicked down by the karate expert.
the karate expert didn't waste any time, launching a brutal attack on Walter before he could get back up.
Walter was stunned and had no strength left to fight back. All he could do was protect his head with his hands.
He'd lost all control and could only take the hits. Finally, he got punched hard in the face, hitting the ground, defeated.
"Loser," the karate expert spat on Walter, his face full of disdain.
