Chapter 524 Brent, Drop Dead.

Brent felt a chill run down his spine as he was stared at, his whole body feeling like it had fallen into an ice cave, his hands and feet cold, and even losing the instinct to breathe.

He really didn't expect that Delbert would lose to James so easily and die so swiftly.

It looked like they weren't even on the same level; it was a complete crush.

This was too outrageous, like a dream!

Now, although James was smiling brightly, it terrified Brent to the core.

Brent continually reassured himself to stay calm, believing that no matter how skilled James was in martial arts, James would never dare to kill him. After all, he was the second son of the prestigious Lewis family, a person of significant influence and power. If James did indeed dare to harm him, James would have to face the wrath of the entire Lewis family. Even if James could somehow evade their retribution, what about those close to James? They would not escape, and the answer to that was unequivocally no.

With this, Brent calmed down a lot.

"James, I admit I underestimated you. I didn't expect even Delbert to be no match for you. I’m impressed," Brent said to James, his tone no longer arrogant but respectful.

In Brent's eyes, a real man could bend and stretch, it was no big deal.

Everyone present was equally stunned, their shock no less than Brent's. They all knew how formidable Delbert was, practically a legend in Starlight State. And now, he had been crushed to death by a single stomp from James.

They all wondered if they were hallucinating.

Walter and Michael couldn't even describe their feelings now. They weren't shocked anymore; they were numb. James had given them too many 'scares' tonight.

James slowly walked towards Brent, hands behind his back. Everyone in his path hurriedly stepped aside and lowered their heads, not daring to look James in the eye, fearing they might upset this 'dragon'.

Now, no one dared to look down on James anymore. James was now the embodiment of death itself, and even calling him unfathomable was an understatement.

The grand auction, with so many big shots gathered, had come to a halt because of James. No one dared to make a sound, and even the music had been stopped by the officials.

The only sound in the room was James's footsteps as he walked step by step towards Brent.

As for Rhys and his daughter, their faces were pale, and they were scared stiff, trembling violently.

Why was James so powerful? Was he even human?

Why would someone so powerful be willing to be Dennis's son-in-law? Had the world gone mad?

Rhys and his daughter lowered their heads, constantly praying that James wouldn't notice them.

Rhys and his daughter felt that they had not yet lived enough and were unwilling to let their lives be ended by James in such a manner.

Brent gulped, trying hard to stay calm, but he found that James was like a mountain pressing down on him. In his mental world, he saw a mountain blocking out the sky, standing in front of him, making his vision go dark.

The fear was so intense that it drained all his strength. He couldn't even run, as if nailed to the ground. He had never felt so helpless in his life.

A surge of regret welled up within him, remorseful for having provoked such a formidable demon.

"Kneel." James walked up to Brent, expressionless, and said calmly.

Brent swallowed hard. He realized that James was even more terrifying than the patriarch of the Lewis family.

His legs were trembling.

"Mr. Smith, I admit I offended you. Please, Mr. Smith, spare me this time. I will repay you greatly!" Brent said through gritted teeth, apologizing to James.

The thousands of onlookers present watched this scene numbly. To them, the aura James exuded was overwhelmingly powerful.

Walter snapped out of it, unable to hide his excitement.

Walter had thought James was just an ordinary martial arts expert, but now Walter realized he had found a treasure!

With such a terrifying master backing him, there was no need to worry.

Walter remembered his youthful ignorance and how he had once opposed James. Now he couldn't help but feel a chill of fear. Luckily, Walter had survived.

Michael's mouth hung open for a long time. His thoughts were similar to Walter's, but he also thought of his sister Harmony, who was deeply in love with James. Originally, he had been against Harmony becoming a mistress, but now it seemed that being the mistress of such a peerless strongman wasn't so bad.

This world had always been governed by the strong. Indeed, every powerful person had many concubines, and even Michael himself had several mistresses.

James didn't care about Brent's submission.

James said again, "Don't make me say it a second time."

He took a step forward, and Brent's body began to tremble violently, his legs shaking.

Earlier, when James was in front of him, he felt like a mountain was blocking his way. Now, it felt like that mountain was pressing down on him. He couldn't bear the weight and knelt down cleanly to beg for mercy.

At this moment, Brent was utterly devastated.

His kneeling caused another huge wave among the crowd.

Because the support behind Brent was the mighty Lewis family!

Should Brent kneel before James, the Lewis family’s honor would dissolve into nothingness.

With the Lewis family's tough style, they would never let James go.

In fact James didn't care about a small Lewis family.

Then, James turned his gaze to Rhys and his daughter, who had buried their heads in their chests. "Didn't you hear what I said?"

Rhys's heart skipped a beat. He was just an ordinary person, with a much weaker mental fortitude than Brent. Hearing James's words, he almost without hesitation knelt down to beg for mercy, continuously kowtowing. "Mr. Smith! I'm sorry! Please, for the sake of me being Jennifer's uncle, spare me!"

Aimee also knelt down, continuously kowtowing and begging for mercy. She was still young and didn't want to die.

Now that even Brent had knelt, there was no need to hold on to.

James showed a disdainful expression. He had no good feelings towards the entire Johnson family. However, he wouldn't kill Aimee and Rhys. To him, they were just nobody.

The one he wanted to kill was Brent.

James said coldly, "Brent, I originally only planned to cripple you, not take your life. But you spent a lot of money to hire Delbert to kill me. Since that's the case, I have no choice but to return the favor."

Brent was terrified and quickly looked up, "Mr. Smith, I..."

Before he could finish, James slapped Brent on the head. His body trembled, and before he could say another word, blood gushed from his orifices, and he died on the spot.
