Chapter 560 Disappearance!

"Mr. Smith, do you need some helpers to go with you?" Rolf asked.

James shook his head and said, "No, I can handle it alone."

With James refuse, Rolf didn't say much. James thought of something and asked, "Mr. Tackett, are the National Security Agency people still protecting my family these past two days?"

"Yes," Rolf nodded, then looked at Clio, who was in charge of protecting James' family.

Clio said, "Mr. Smith, rest assured, I have arranged for National Security Agency personnel to protect your family these past two days."

However, just as she finished speaking, the phone rang. Clio took it out, saw the caller ID, and her expression changed slightly before answering the call.

"Holy crap!" Clio couldn't help but exclaim in shock after hearing the other side. James, seeing her reaction, became even more anxious.

Rolf also realized something was wrong.

He was very concerned about the safety of James' family, not out of kindness, but because of the deal he had with James. If he couldn't protect James' family, their cooperation would fall apart.

Seeing Clio's reaction, Rolf speculated that James' family was in trouble.

"Clio, what happened?" Rolf asked sternly.

James also stared tightly at Clio.

Clio had already hung up the phone. She swallowed and said, "They said Mr. Smith's family is missing, taken by a group of mysterious individuals."

Suddenly, the ground beneath James' feet shook violently, as if a giant iron hammer had struck it, causing the ground to cave in and spiderweb-like cracks to spread outward from James.

This was James losing control of his strength in anger, creating a hole in the ground!

Everyone felt this power and their expressions changed slightly.

Especially Rolf, as a fourth-stage martial artist, noticed his eyebrows twitching, wondering how did James become even stronger in just two days.

Now, facing James, it was hard to gauge his true level.

It was hard to find a point that he was definitely a match for James.

As for the others, they looked at James with even more fear. The current James exuded an intimidating aura, like a volcano about to erupt and consume everything.

James' breathing was rapid, his eyes bloodshot, and he spat out two names, "Mason! Yosef!"

Rolf also realized this and immediately ordered, "Go, find out if Mason and Yosef took Mr. Smith's family. If they did, rescue them immediately!"

"Yes!" The subordinates responded aloud in unsion.

Rolf observed James's reaction and exclaimed, "Outrageous! How dare Mason and Yosef be so audacious as to target members of the National Security Agency? If the evidence is conclusive, I, Rolf, will ensure they do not escape justice!"

Rolf's words were to both reassure James and remind him that it wasn't certain Mason and Yosef were responsible until the investigation was complete.

James was a very calm person, with psychological resilience far beyond others. After a brief outburst, he quickly regained his composure and realized it wasn't certain Mason and Yosef had taken Jennifer, Dennis, and Kaitlyn.

James hoped they hadn't done something so foolish; otherwise, he would make them pay dearly!

James took a deep breath, forced himself to calm down, and remarked, "Mr. Tackett, I need to return immediately. Also, please arrange for more National Security Agency personnel to search for my wife and in-laws. I will remember this favor."

Rolf was slightly pleased to hear this from James but waved it off, saying, "We're all National Security Agency; no need to be so formal. Clio, contact the men in Serenity State and mobilize all available resources to find Mr. Smith's family, understood?"

"Understood!" Clio saluted and quickly went to make arrangements.

The National Security Agency acted swiftly, soon arranging a plane to take James back.

Clio accompanied him again. She noticed James was silent and had a dark, intimidating expression, feeling immense pressure.

She knew James was like this because he was worried about Jennifer.

Suddenly, she felt a pang of jealousy.

Realizing this emotion, she was startled and quickly shook her head to dispel the thought.

James had no time to notice her odd behavior. He closed his eyes, racking up his mind , thinking about why Jennifer had sent him that message and why her phone was now disconnected.

Jennifer had used that number for years. Just last month, James had personally topped up her phone credit, so it couldn't be a case of unpaid bills.

Even if it were unpaid, it would only be temporarily disconnected, not a dead number.

A dead number meant the number had been canceled.

This was the issue. Coupled with the message Jennifer sent and the information from the National Security Agency, Jennifer was indeed missing!

He had also tried calling Dennis and Kaitlyn, only to find their numbers were also dead!

This was very unusual.

Naturally, it was highly likely Mason and Yosef had taken Jennifer, Dennis, and Kaitlyn.

However, upon careful consideration, James found that it didn't quite add up. If she had indeed been abducted, there would be no reason to waste time canceling the number, especially since Jennifer had still managed to send him that message.

His intuition told him Jennifer might have left voluntarily!

Only someone leaving voluntarily would cancel their number and send that message.

But he couldn't fathom why Jennifer would leave.

Their relationship seemed to be on good terms, particularly since not long ago, Jennifer had been intimate with him.

Suddenly, James seemed to catch onto something.

Jennifer had been acting strangely those days.

And that night, Jennifer had been unusually indulgent, acting wildly despite it being her first time, repeatedly demanding more. That wasn't like her at all.

James pondered the reasons behind Jennifer's sudden change and speculated whether she had experienced some form of trauma.
