Chapter 356 Master, what are you doing?
"Who else could it be but Arianwen?" James thought, feeling the heat rise in his cheeks.
She was staring at him, eyes wide like saucers, totally floored. Seriously, she'd never looked this animated before, her jaw practically hitting the floor.
And why wouldn't she be? Right there, James was holding one of her bras, bringing it up to his nose like some weirdo. When she walked in, he had this blissed-out, creepy grin plastered on his face.
She was completely stunned, like a deer in headlights. Never in a million years did she think James would pull something this pervy.
"Master, what the hell are you doing?" she hissed, her face turning beet red, her whole body shaking with rage. She was clearly losing it.
James felt a shiver run down his spine, mortified. How did Arianwen catch him red-handed?
What rotten luck! Just as he picked it up, in his moment of dumb excitement, Arianwen walked in and busted him.
James had never been in such a cringe-worthy situation before and he was kicking himself for it.
His face turned crimson. He had no clue what to do, still clutching Arianwen's bra.
"Uh, if I say it's a misunderstanding, would you buy it?" James mumbled, barely audible.
"You think?" Arianwen spat, her face a mix of fury and disgust.
Not even Arianwen would buy that, let alone himself. Only an idiot would think this was a misunderstanding.
They both stood there, frozen in the most awkward silence ever. James's brain was going a mile a minute, trying to figure out how to get out of this mess.
Then he tried to play it cool, walking towards Arianwen and shoving the bra into her hand. "Your clothes aren't washed with detergent, are they? They smell funky. Go wash them. It's late. I'm hitting the sack."
With that, James tried to make a quick exit.
But Arianwen wasn't having it. "Stop right there," she snapped.
James pretended not to hear and kept walking. Only a fool would stop now.
Seeing him ignore her, Arianwen grew more furious. She stepped in front of him and kicked the door shut.
"Explain yourself. What else did you do with my bra?" Arianwen glared at him, her face a mix of shame and fury. How could James be such a creep?
James felt like he was on fire under her gaze, his face burning with regret. This was all his fault for messing with her stuff. Now he was caught, and no amount of smooth-talking would get him out of this.
"I didn't do anything. I was just gonna wash your clothes, not sniff your bra," James said, coughing awkwardly, trying to sound serious.
But his words were weak. Arianwen wasn't buying it. "You're still trying to lie to me?" she shot back.
'Yeah, I'm lying, but what else can I do? Should I admit I had this sudden urge to sniff them?' James thought, knowing full well that if he did, Arianwen would probably kill him. And in his current state, he definitely couldn't take her on. So, the best move was to deny.
"Why would I lie to you?" James said, trying to sound confident. It was time to see if he could pull off this act.
"Really?" Arianwen's anger wavered a bit.
"Absolutely, it's true." James nodded like his life depended on it.
Arianwen stared at him for what felt like forever before reluctantly buying it. Her furious expression slowly eased up. Finally, she shoved the bra back into the wardrobe. "Did you touch any of my other clothes?" she asked again.
"No, absolutely not," James quickly denied.
Arianwen still felt deeply embarrassed. She couldn't shake the fact that her bra had been touched. "Don't touch my clothes without permission."
Seeing Arianwen's rare shy expression, James felt his heart skipped a beat. "Under what circumstances can I touch them?" he blurted out.
Arianwen was stunned, then got mad again, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, baring her teeth and claws at him.
"Just kidding," James quickly explained with a nervous laugh.
"Get out. I don't want to see you right now," Arianwen snapped.
'After all, I'm your master. How can you talk to me like that? Do you even respect me as your master? Do you have any sense of being a maid?' James thought, but he only dared to keep these words in his mind.
Ultimately, he could leave this room.
Once outside, James let out a huge sigh of relief, his back drenched in sweat. He'd really dodged a bullet this time.
But then he felt grossed out with himself. How had he become such a creep?
He was pretty tired, but the whole incident had him wide awake. He was sweaty and sticky, so he decided to take a shower before crashing in his room.
Meanwhile, Arianwen locked the door after James left, still unable to calm down. Her heart was racing even more than the last time James had flirted with her.
Thinking about how her bra had been touched and even sniffed by James, she felt incredibly shy. She wasn't dumb; she didn't believe his lame excuse.
They'd been living together for almost a month. James had never offered to wash her clothes before. Why would he suddenly come into her room and say he was going to wash them? That wasn't his style at all.
The only explanation was that James had come in specifically to sniff her bra. Recalling that scene, she couldn't calm down. 'What made James such a pervert? He used to be pretty normal. Every time he lost, he never took advantage of me. Wait, could it be that James really has those kinds of thoughts about me? Well, absolutely,' Arianwen speculated.
What should she do? If James really wanted to do that one day, should she refuse or go along with it? Arianwen was confused.
Now, holding her bra, she fell into deep thought and didn't snap out of it for a long time.
