Chapter 605 Fighting Five Alone

James was under serious pressure. This was the toughest lineup he'd faced since he started out: two top-tier fourth-stage martial artists and four third-stage fighters. A group like that could easily form a major force anywhere! And now, they were all gunning for Selina. Clearly, whoever sent them was dead set on taking her out!

It was unclear whether they had a personal grudge against Selina or if they were just hired guns. Either way, James had to keep her safe.

He finally got why Rolf had picked him for this gig. Out of the whole NSA crew, he was the only one who could pull it off.

"Tom, Rose, get the Princess out of here. Gray and I will cover you," James barked, his mind sharp and orders clear.

In this situation, Tom and Rose were both panicked. They had been agents for so long, but this was the first time they faced such powerful assassins. They had no idea what to do, so they immediately nodded at James's words.

James was definitely overstepping his bounds. Gray's lips twitched, clearly annoyed, but he kept his mouth shut. Truth be told, he was still reeling from James's performance. It was downright terrifying. James wasn't some pushover—he was the real deal. Those reflexes? Insane. And that kick? Gray wouldn't have stood a chance.

Basically, they'd all underestimated James. Gray couldn't help but feel a cold sweat as he remembered all the jabs he'd thrown at him earlier.

James, of course, had no clue what Gray was thinking—and even if he did, he wouldn't care. Gray had never been on his radar to begin with.

"Gray, you handle the other fourth-stage martial artist. The other five are mine," James said, then moved. At the same time, he shouted to disperse the ordinary people.

His speed was incredibly fast, and even Gray could barely see his outline.

The next moment, James was in front of the man in black, his fists like arrows, striking out fiercely and covering the opponent's entire body.

The opponent immediately felt immense pressure.

Gray snapped out of it, suppressing his surprise. As a veteran agent, his composure was strong. He quickly got into position and started charging towards the second fourth-stage martial artist.

In just a moment, from the assassin's sneak attack to now, only three or four seconds had passed. At this time, the ordinary people were just reacting, trembling with fear, screaming, and running away.

Fortunately, these assassins didn't intend to kill the ordinary people. Their target was only Selina.

The black-clad martial artist fighting James seemed to be the leader of the assassins. She coldly said, "Azure, Iron Hand, you two go capture the princess!"

Two of the third-stage martial artists nodded, their bodies flashing as they tried to bypass James to capture Selina.

But as soon as they moved, they found a tall, thin figure blocking their way. With a few punches and kicks, they were forced back, their hands numb from the impact.

The person blocking them was, of course, James. "Since you're here, you might as well stay!"

The space inside was too cramped for a fight, so they quickly moved it outside.

Luckily, the gym was in a remote spot, and most people had already cleared out, so the commotion didn't draw much attention. James was holding his own, taking them on solo.

"Fourth-stage peak martial artist!" someone shouted after clashing with James, but the words barely left his mouth before he froze, completely immobilized.

James slammed his palm into the guy's head, not even bothering to look back as he barreled toward the other four.

Meanwhile, the third-stage martial artist crumpled to the ground, blood pouring from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth—dead from James's single strike.

The other four's eyes widened in panic, fear flashing across their faces.

They'd done their homework on Selina's bodyguards. Gray was supposed to be the strongest, and even he was no match for them. But a fourth-stage peak martial artist? They didn't see that coming!

Gray was equally shocked when he heard this, his body trembling. There were only a few fourth-stage peak martial artists in their country!

How old was this young man to have reached such a level? It was terrifying!

James's eyes were cold and unfeeling as he lunged at the group of four. His goal was clear: take them down fast.

The death of one guy didn't faze them much. They exchanged quick glances, their faces hardening. They knew if they didn't step up their game, not only would the mission fail, but they might not make it out alive.

The leader of the group, the most skilled guy in black, barked, "Take him out together first!"

The voice was a woman's, and James frowned again. The more he listened, the more familiar it sounded.

But none of his friends had such high-level martial arts.

Gray was up against a fourth-stage martial artist of the same level, but he was clearly on the back foot. He'd already taken a few hits, while his opponent looked like he was just warming up. The weight of the situation pressed down on him—he never expected things to get this dangerous in Sunlandia.

Now he regretted not listening to James earlier and getting Selina out of there before it came to this!

Looking back, he was grateful James was around. With just him, Tom, and Rose, they wouldn't have stood a chance protecting Selina. As an agent, his life didn't matter much, but if anything happened to Selina, he'd go down in history as a traitor to the nation!

Seeing James single-handedly facing five top-tier experts and defeating one, Gray was in awe.

He gathered his strength, fighting his opponent with all his might, using a reckless style, willing to get injured to seriously harm his opponent.

For James, taking down a third-stage martial artist didn't exactly lighten the load—it actually made things worse. The remaining four came at him harder, especially the leader in black, who was relentless and kept him on his toes.

Thankfully, James's skills were solid enough to hold his own, or he'd have been toast by now.

Still, fighting off so many at once was no joke, and he'd already taken a beating, racking up plenty of wounds.
