Chapter 318 A Heartfelt Confession

After Asher finished speaking, he handed the microphone to Uriah, giving him an encouraging look, signaling Uriah to give it his all.

Grasping the hint, Uriah took the microphone, strutted forward, facing the many guests, and began with a confident and charming smile. "I'm Uriah, and I want to thank everyone for coming tonight to attend my and Charlotte's engagement party."

His voice was very pleasant, magnetic, and combined with his handsome face, it was very attractive to women. Many women in the audience, including some married ones, were captivated, looking at Uriah with admiration

Tonight, Uriah was just too handsome, more attractive than the celebrities in the entertainment industry, with a great physique, over six feet tall. Especially the aura he exuded and his noble status were slaying plenty of women present.

They were all very envious, even jealous of Charlotte, who was engaged to Uriah.

Most of the men present, while in awe of Uriah, were also burning with jealousy. Such a man was an insult to them, making them all pale in comparison to Uriah!

Kieran couldn't help but say, "This Uriah is just too outstanding. He's the heir to the Perry family, yet with such a pretty face and impressive competence. He really throws other men like us into the shade."

James quietly watched Uriah, his eyes calm, with no hatred or murderous intent, but some admiration. To be fair, Uriah was indeed quite excellent, probably the best young man he had seen in Lindwood City. As his brother, Jared were no match for him.

Of course, this was based on excluding Uriah. If he were to compare Uriah to himself, James shook his head; there was simply no comparison. Uriah was just excellent in Lindwood City, but outside of it, he was just average.

The only thing he couldn't compare to Uriah in was his appearance, wasn't it?

If Uriah hadn't offended him, given some time, he might really have achieved something and led the Perry family to higher level.

Unfortunately, Uriah was destined to fail. Who told him to offend James?

At this moment, James suddenly felt a bit sorry for Uriah, which even surprised James himself.

It seemed he had really changed. He was no longer as arrogant and domineering as before and could now think from a third-party perspective.

Indeed, it was a pity that someone like Uriah was destroyed just when he was about to achieve something. Anyway, it was unfortunate.

It was just unfortunate that he offended someone he shouldn't have.

At this moment, Uriah continued, "Actually, I never believed in fate. I thought it was all a lie, an excuse for being unfaithful in love. Until I met Charlotte, I realized I was wrong."

As he said this, he turned to look at Charlotte, his eyes full of undisguised affection, which, combined with his expression, made Charlotte's eyes instantly red with emotion.

He turned back and continued, "Charlotte is the kindest and purest woman I've ever met. The moment I saw her, I saw love. This is the woman I love!"

It was clear that Uriah had prepared in advance, speaking with deep emotion. By the end, his eyes were almost red.

Many in the audience were moved by his heartfelt confession, especially the women, many of whom were moved to tears, feeling even more jealous of Charlotte.

James found it amusing and admired Uriah's acting skills, which had fooled so many people.

The more heartfelt the confession, the more spectacular the gift he would receive from James later.

Thinking of this, James couldn't help but laugh. He joined the others in applauding.

Finally, Uriah turned and knelt on one knee in front of Charlotte, presenting a diamond ring to propose.

Seeing this, Charlotte immediately covered her mouth, very excited, and began to cry.

"Charlotte, would you do me the honor of becoming my wife and marrying me? I will protect you for the rest of my life and make you the happiest woman in the world," Uriah said loudly, his heartfelt confession.

Seeing his sincere expression, the Flores family members were very satisfied.

"I do! I do!" Charlotte responded loudly, holding out a hand for Uriah to put the ring on.

Immediately, the room erupted in thunderous applause, very enthusiastic one. Everyone was moved by Uriah's high-level heartfelt confession.

James was also clapping his hands; the smile on his face grew even stronger.

"Uriah is quite a talker. No wonder he can marry Ms. Flores. His confession even moved me a bit," Kieran said with emotion.

James smiled and said, "Are you serious, Kieran? It seems you really want to get to know Uriah. How about this? I prepared a big gift for Uriah today. I planned to give it to him myself, but I'll give you the opportunity to hand it to Uriah. He will definitely be very grateful to you."

Kieran's eyes widened with uncontrollable joy. "Really? James! Are you really giving this opportunity to me?"

He had no idea what James meant by "grateful."

"Really, why would I lie to you?" James blinked, looking serious. He patted Kieran's shoulder again and said, "Kieran, I was too harsh on you the last two times. That was my fault. Since you've decided to follow me, how can I not take care of you?"

"Thank you! Thank you!" Kieran was so excited as to feel the urge to kneel to James.

Holding the light gift James handed over, he instinctively wanted to ask what was inside, but he thought better of it as what had just happened struck him. Anyway, since James was giving it to Uriah, it couldn't be an ordinary gift.

After  Uriah put the ring on Charlotte, people started lining up to give him congratulatory gifts.

Each gift was very valuable, with the least worth over a million dollars.

Finally, it was Kieran's turn. He stood tall and coughed twice. Emboldened by James, who were smiling and nodding at him, he swaggered up to present a big gift to Uriah.
