Chapter 97 Is It Fun?

Receiving this call, James was surprised. Why was Harmony calling him at this time?

After hesitating for a moment, he still answered the phone.

"Hello? Do you need something from me?" James asked curiously.

However, there was no sound on the other end of the phone. James thought that Harmony had accidentally dialed his number.

Just as he was about to hang up, Harmony's voice finally came through the receiver, "Hello, it's me."

Her voice sounded a bit off, quite low in spirits.

"Oh, is something the matter?" James asked.

On Harmony's end, she said, "Are you free right now?"

James instinctively replied, "I am free."

Harmony was delighted and asked, "Can you come over and have a drink with me?"

"Well..." James hesitated. He really hadn't expected Harmony to invite him for a drink, and as a married man, he didn't want to have too much involvement with Harmony. "I'm not much of a drinker."

He told a lie.

However, Harmony said, "It's okay, you don't have to drink. Just come and chat with me."

This made the situation even more awkward. James hesitated again, "Don't you have many admirers? Why don't you ask them to have a drink with you?"

"I don't want them, I want you!" Harmony said, irritably.

Her sudden increase in volume startled James. Just then, Kaitlyn Hill passed by, looking curious. This startled him even more.

He lowered his voice, trying to remain calm, and walked to the balcony, saying, "Miss Harmony, what's going on? Don't you dislike me a lot? Why are you asking me to have a drink with you?"

After saying those words, Harmony also felt a bit of regret. Why did she say something so inappropriate? It was completely unlike her character. And James was right, hadn't she always disliked him? Why was she suddenly so eager to see him?

Harmony was now very confused.

Harmony impatiently asked, "Enough talk, are you coming or not?"

He outright refused her, "Not coming."

James decisively refused. Joking aside, even if he wasn't a married man, he didn't want to deal with the temperamental Miss Harmony.

"You!" Harmony immediately got angry, said, "How dare you," and hung up the phone.

Listening to the busy tone on the phone, James felt somewhat helpless. Miss Harmony's temper was really something. It seemed like his decision to refuse her was the right one.

With nothing else to do, James went to the community park and started practicing martial arts in an open space.

Even though it was called martial arts, his movements were slow, comparable to those elderly people practicing Yoga, slow and leisurely. Moreover, his movements were quite strange, not as elegant and graceful as practicing Yoga, but rather awkward, almost like imitating animal movements.

However, amidst his punches and kicks, there was a certain charm that couldn't be described. At first glance, it seemed ugly, but the more you watched, the more attractive it became, drawing you in unconsciously.

An elderly person approached him curiously and asked, "Young man, what kind of martial arts are you practicing?"

James stopped, took a deep breath, smiled, and simply answered, "Sir, I'm just practicing randomly, it doesn't have a name."

Indeed, it had no name. It was a form of martial art that James had created, beneficial for fitness. After practicing it, an ordinary person would experience significant mental improvement. If practiced consistently for a month, there would also be a noticeable improvement in physical fitness.

Of course, while this form of martial art looked simple, it was actually quite difficult to learn for the average person. It required the coordination of the entire body, including eye movements and breathing control, not just simple physical movements.

Moreover, this set of martial arts techniques was very suitable for James. He had to practice it every day to maintain his strength.

The elderly man's eyes showed some admiration as he said, "Young man, are you saying that you created this? What's your name?"

James was somewhat surprised that the elderly man could see the intricacies of his martial arts technique.

He introduced himself, "My name is James."

The elderly man repeated James's name twice and remembered it. Then he asked, "This set of martial arts techniques is not that simple. Can you teach it to me?"

"Well..." James hesitated. It wasn't that he didn't want to, but this set of martial arts techniques, while looking simple, was extremely difficult to practice. Even if he taught it step by step, it would be hard for anyone without high talent to learn. Furthermore, this set of martial arts techniques was not suitable for older people to practice.

Seeing James's dilemma, the elderly man felt a bit disappointed, but he wasn't angry. He appeared very magnanimous and said with a smile, "Just kidding, young man, I was just saying."

James smiled slightly. He knew the elderly man had misunderstood, but he didn't explain. It would seem pretentious to do so.

At that moment, James's phone rang in his pocket. Taking it out, he found it was Harmony calling again, causing him to furrow his brow.

Why was this Miss Harmony calling him again?

Intentionally, he didn't answer the call, put it on silent mode, and placed it back in his pocket.

However, not long after, Harmony called again. James still didn't answer. By the third call, still being ignored, she sent him a message.

Harmony: "Help! I'm at the Luxury Bar, help me!"

Seeing this message, James was suddenly shocked. Just a moment ago, Harmony was fine, so how did she get into trouble? And it was at a bar?

He tried calling Harmony back, but she didn't pick up. He started to worry.

Regardless, Harmony was Michael's sister and Jennifer's good friend. If something really happened, he couldn't just stand by and do nothing.

So, he quickly bid farewell to the elderly man, didn't even have time to go home and change clothes, and directly took a taxi to the Luxury Bar.

The Luxury Bar was a quiet place, not far from there, about a ten-minute drive by taxi.

Since it was daytime, there weren't many people in the Luxury Bar. James hurried over and soon saw Harmony. At first glance, he immediately got angry.

Not because Harmony was in trouble, but quite the opposite. Harmony was perfectly fine, sitting at the bar drinking, and when she saw him, she flashed a sly smile at him.

Damn, he was fooled!

James gritted his teeth. He was indeed foolish. Someone like Harmony couldn't get into trouble easily.

However, he didn't leave immediately. Instead, he walked up to Harmony with a cold expression and asked, "Is it fun?"

Harmony, who had been feeling quite accomplished, suddenly felt a sense of panic when she met James's cold gaze. "I..." she could barely say anything, let alone come up with an excuse.

To be honest, James didn't have much fondness for Harmony. Although Harmony was very beautiful, her temper was just too bad, and she was particularly arrogant. She had humiliated him many times before.

After saying those words, James turned and walked away.

Harmony reflexively grabbed his hand.
