Chapter 320 The Shame Uriah Can Never Wash Away
When Uriah handed the USB drive to his buddy, he got this weird gut feeling, but he shrugged it off. After all, with the Perry family's clout in Lindwood City, no one would mess with him.
They popped open the USB drive, and there was just one video file with a note saying, "Congrats to Uriah and Charlotte on their engagement."
His buddy hesitated, leaning in to whisper, "Uriah, you sure about this?"
Uriah just nodded, a chill smile on his face, not sweating any surprises. He was kinda curious about what the video was, because this gift was way different from the usual stuff.
Kieran was buzzing with excitement, eyes glued to the screen. He was dying to see what gift James had cooked up for Uriah.
Everyone else at the party was on the edge of their seats, too.
Following Uriah's nod, his man hit play on the projector.
The screen lit up with a hotel suite, and then bam, there was Charlotte, today's star. But she wasn't alone. A man who definitely wasn't Uriah was holding her hand. They walked to the center of the frame and started making out like there was no tomorrow. And yeah, that guy was NOT Uriah!
The whole room went dead silent.
Uriah's big, confident grin froze, his mouth twitching like crazy, looking totally ridiculous.
Kieran was just as stunned, staring at the screen like a deer in headlights, watching the couple go at it.
This was a total shocker for everyone! After all, this was Uriah's engagement party!!
Charlotte's eyes went wide, and she started shaking like a leaf, pure panic written all over her face.
In the video, Charlotte and the guy were making out hard, their breathing getting heavier. They started tearing each other's clothes off.
"Turn it off! Quick, turn it off!!" Asher snapped out of it first, his face a mix of rage and panic, yelling at the top of his lungs.
The guy running the video was freaking out, too, totally blindsided. He tried to turn it off, but in his panic, he cranked up the volume instead, making the whole thing echo through the hall!
First, there was Charlotte's moaning and the guy's heavy breathing.
Then the guy said, "I really envy Uriah for being able to marry you."
And Charlotte's voice came through loud and clear, "Why's that? Uriah hasn't even touched me yet. He still thinks I'm a virgin."
"Charlotte, you're smokin' hot," the guy said with a sleazy laugh. By now, they were both butt-naked in the video. The dude, all hyped up, couldn't help but ask, "Charlotte, aren't you scared Uriah's gonna find out?"
"Scared of what? He won't find out. He still thinks I'm his loyal little angel." Charlotte's tone was all flirty, totally different from her classy act tonight.
The guy chuckled, "Man, I feel on top of the world right now. Uriah treats me like dirt. I've always hated his guts. So what if his dad's a big shot? Why's he gotta be so cocky? Bet he never thought his own driver would be the one to screw him over."
Then their foreplay finished, replaced by some seriously R-rated scenes, graphically and audibly, making everyone in the room turn red and squirm in their seats.
There were even some kids there with their parents, and they broke the awkward silence by asking what the people in the video were doing.
The whole hall went dead silent.
Uriah was fuming, his body shaking with fury. He'd never been this pissed in his life!
He'd always been the golden boy, acing school and crushing it in the real world, way ahead of his peers. He'd never faced such a humiliation.
It was pure humiliation, the kind that ate him alive. He'd always been the cool, collected type, but now? He was a volcano ready to blow. His mind was a storm of rage, his whole being on fire.
He had just proposed to Charlotte, only to find out she had been cheating on him with his very driver.
As for Asher, he was just as livid. Even he had never seen anything like this.
The guests were in total shock. This was next-level drama. An engagement party turned into a scandalous show, with Charlotte's cheating video on full display. This was a massive stain on the Perry family's name. Even if they became the top dogs in the future, this black mark would never fade.
For Uriah, it was a lifelong scar.
So after a moment of stunned silence, the guests started buzzing with chatter.
"This video is wild. Charlotte actually cheated on Uriah."
"This is insane. I've never seen anything like this! The Perry family is totally disgraced."
"Is it bad that I kinda wanna laugh? Uriah just poured his heart out to Charlotte, and then this happens."
"Who would've thought Charlotte looked so innocent but was such a slut behind the scenes."
"Who the heck is this Kieran? He's got some serious guts to pull this at such a big event. Is he asking for trouble?"
"I know this Kieran guy. He's the boss of the Fortress Defense Group, basically a thug. Bet he got set up."
"Whatever the case, tonight's been one heck of a show."
