Chapter 523 The Death of Delbert

But immediately, James took a step forward, exuding an aura that felt like a spring breeze, instantly neutralizing the pressure from Delbert, making Michael and Walter feel relieved.

Delbert's expression changed slightly upon seeing this, showing a look of surprise before he started to laugh. "Well, I underestimated you. You've reached the second stage of martial artist. No wonder you had the courage to offend Mr. Lewis. But, young man, you're still young. A little bit of skill and you think you're invincible? Unfortunately for you, you've met me!"

As he finished speaking, his eyes widened suddenly, and his voice boomed like thunder, making everyone present feel a momentary blankness in their minds.

Walter and Michael, being the closest place, turned ashen.

Brent sneered, "James, I underestimated you. I didn't expect a loser like you to be a second-stage of martial artist. But it's meaningless. You're still my defeated opponent! The more talented you are, the more accomplished I feel."

Despite his words, his tone couldn't hide his jealousy towards James.

The next moment, Delbert suddenly moved.

It was as if the sky was falling and the earth was splitting, and then he attacked James.

Delbert was best with a sword, but even without it, he was still formidable.

James felt a bit of anticipation. Since breaking through to the fourth stage of a warrior, he hadn't truly fought a master.

Unfortunately, Delbert was only a third-stage warrior, not a fourth-stage one, and was no match for James. James took it as a warm-up.

Facing Delbert's attack, James chose to dodge rather than confront him head-on.

Their movements were so fast that they exceeded the limits of human retinal capture. The onlookers present could only hear the noises they made, which were terrifying.

After a full two minutes, their figures were all over the place, like the Flash, creating gusts of wind that were extremely frightening.

Delbert, now seething with rage, snarled, "James, if you have any courage, face me directly. You coward."

Delbert was furious. He was a renowned master in Starlight State, yet he couldn't take down an unknown nobody. It was infuriating.

Not just him, Brent also frowned. He never expected that someone as powerful as Delbert couldn't take down James in a short time. This situation was beyond his wildest imagination.

Walter was left utterly astonished once again by James's performance, which surpassed all his expectations. He had resigned himself to the conviction that James was inevitably doomed, especially considering that his adversary was Delbert. No matter how skilled James might be, he was still, after all, a peer of the same age. Defeating Delbert seemed out of the question; even the prospect of escape appeared hopeless.

But James's performance was completely unexpected.

Walter was immediately overjoyed. This meant he hadn't chosen the wrong master. James's future achievements would surely be very high, surpassing Delbert with ease.

But soon, Walter couldn't help but feel a bit down. Unfortunately, James had offended Delbert. No matter how fast James was, his raw strength couldn't possibly match Delbert's.

"Is that so? As you wish." James's voice came through, and the next moment, his fleeing figure suddenly stopped. He turned and threw a punch, colliding head-on with Delbert's fist.

The impact from their fists created a thunderous noise, like a torpedo explosion, making the nearby people's ears go deaf.

In the next moment, Delbert let out a muffled groan, his whole body flying backward, spitting out a mouthful of blood in mid-air.

Delbert was actually no match for James!

In the box, Brent, who was leisurely sipping wine and watching James's slow demise, suddenly stood up. The wine glass in his hand shattered, and his face turned p

'What? Is Delbert actually lost? This can't be true. It must be fake! Absolutely fake.' Brent's mind was in turmoil, unable to believe it was real.

Everyone present was equally confused, with expressions of complete disbelief.

Even Walter and Michael found it unbelievable, as if they were dreaming.

James had severely injured Delbert with one punch. He loosened his fist, then clenched it again, making a sound that was terrifying, filled with explosive power.

James didn't pursue the victory but walked slowly towards Delbert, looking down at him from above. "Delbert, what did you say earlier? I didn't dare to face you head-on? Do you know why I kept dodging? Because I didn't want to kill you too quickly."

Delbert was genuinely terrified.

That punch, although not using Delbert's full strength, had used ninety percent. Even an iron plate would have been pierced.

But in the collision with James, he was completely defeated. It felt like being hit by a meteor, displacing his internal organs and causing internal injuries.

It was too terrifying.

Delbert had never seen anyone like James so powerful.

The crux of the matter was that James appeared very young, at most in his early twenties.

Delbert screamed, "Who are you? How do you have such high-level martial arts! This isn't the second stage; you're at the fourth stage!"

Saying this made his scalp tingle.

This statement reached Brent like a bomb, exploding in his mind, making him stagger and almost fall as he hit the table behind him.

The fourth-stage martial artist was a realm Brent didn't even dare to dream of.

Brent was only at the first stage, having consumed many family resources.

Brent felt he could at most reach the second stage.

James, now astonishingly at the fourth stage of a martial artist, had utterly shattered Brent's worldview.

Walter was also stunned. He had prepared for James‘s death, but he never expected James to give him such a huge surprise!

James grinned, showing a terrifying smile. Then he stepped on Delbert's chest.

Delbert died on the spot.

Then, James turned and looked at Brent, smiling brightly. "Brent, it's your turn."
