Chapter 546 James Is Doomed
That night, they were wild, uninhibited, and thoroughly indulgent. Jennifer, in a frenzy, demanded more and more, completely disregarding that it was her first time.
James tried to stop several times, but Jennifer clung to him, entangling them together. Fortunately, James's physical strength far exceeded that of an average person, so this indulgence was effortless for him.
To take care of Jennifer, James continuously infused her with energy secretly; otherwise, Jennifer wouldn't have been able to handle it.
But even so, by the end, Jennifer was exhausted, finding it difficult even to get out of bed, and she slept straight until noon.
"Awake?" She opened her eyes to see James standing in front of her, smiling down at her, and he kissed her on the lips.
"Yeah, what time is it now?" Jennifer asked softly, feeling very satisfied and sweet to see James as soon as she opened her eyes.
"It's already twelve o'clock. You must be hungry. Here's some food," James said with a smile.
After a night of indulgence, Jennifer was indeed hungry. Her stomach growled twice, and she blushed. She tried to sit up to eat, but as soon as she moved, she felt a sharp pain and couldn't help but moan, blushing even more.
"Careful, let me help you up," James said with a sly smile.
Jennifer pinched James lightly and pouted, "Drop it. It's all your fault! Look at what you've done to me!"
James rolled his eyes helplessly. 'Clearly, it was you who kept demanding, so how is it my fault?'
Of course, James wouldn't express his thoughts. He gently helped Jennifer up. "Let me feed you."
James fed Jennifer bite by bite. Seeing Jennifer staring at him intently, James asked, "What's wrong? Is there something on my face?"
Jennifer gently shook her head and said, "No."
Jennifer was exhausted this time, making it difficult for her to walk and needing rest. So, it wasn't until the evening, after having dinner at the hotel, that they went back.
Back to the previous night, Mason flew to Starlight State to secretly meet Yosef. "Mr. Percy, welcome to Starlight State." Yosef personally received Mason and greeted heartily.
Mason and Yosef shook hands firmly, and Mason smiled heartily, "I've long admired Mr. Lewis's reputation. It's good to see you."
After some pleasantries, they both saw the hatred and urgency in each other's eyes. They didn't waste any more time and got straight to the point. Mason asked, "Mr. Lewis, what specific plan do you have?"
Mason spoke in vague terms, but Yosef naturally understood what Mason was referring to. Yosef nodded, "I've investigated thoroughly. James is currently in Lindwood City, Serenity State. Five years ago, he became a son-in-law to the Johnson family. Here is the information on the Johnson family."
"Married into?" Mason was obviously stunned and frowned. The concept of marrying into a family was very foreign to him, and he couldn't even understand why such a practice existed, especially for James.
His first reaction was that Yosef was joking with him, unwilling to believe it.
James was a prominent figure in the City of Mysteries. In the industry,James was known to every household, a sign of flamboyance.
Honestly, Mason found it hard to believe.
So Mason asked cautiously, "Are you sure James married into the family?"
"Yes, it's true. I was also very surprised and found it hard to believe when I heard the news," Yosef said.
Mason took the information and browsed through it briefly, showing an even more surprised expression. "This..."
He was very confused about James's behavior.
Five years ago, James was in his prime in the City of Mysteries, at the height of his flamboyance, and then he suddenly disappeared. Everyone thought he was dead. Mason was shocked that James had married into a family in Serenity State.
And the information showed that the Johnson family was just an ordinary family, nothing special.
Even with Mason's intelligence and experience, he couldn't figure out what James was trying to achieve with this move.
He read it again carefully and found that James hadn't done anything in the past five years and seemed to be living quite a humble life. This made him even more confused, unable to understand at all.
"James, what on earth is going on in your head?" Mason said, frowning.
Yosef said, "No matter what's going on in James's head, now that he's provoked us, he has only one end—death!"
"Exactly!" Mason nodded, his eyes very cold. "No matter who James is, if he offends the two of us, he has only one way out—death."
Yosef suggested, "Mr. Percy, I suggest we start with the three members of the Johnson family to directly target James's weakness."
Mason responded, "I think there's no need to rush to take action against the three members of the Johnson family. If this gets out, it will be bad for our reputation."
"Then what do you suggest, Mr. Percy?" Yosef asked.
Mason's eyes flashed with cunning as he said, "We can first use official power, through legitimate channels, to take James away. Then we can use special means to suppress James."
Yosef immediately said, "Mr. Percy, given James's status, it might be difficult to trouble him with official power, right?"
Mason smiled, "Mr. Lewis, you may not know this, but James has already fallen out with the Smith family. The head of the Smith family, Alistair, has officially announced that James has been stripped of his heir status. And the reason, as my subordinates have found out, is that James refused to marry Lisa from the Savoy family for Jennifer. In other words, James has lost the protection of the Smith family and has become an ordinary person. Using legitimate channels, James won't be able to resist."
"Is there really such a thing?" Yosef was surprised. He was from a family in Starlight Stateand didn't know much about the affairs of the City of Mysteries. To him, he couldn't understand James's choice at all.
"Yeah, there is such a thing," Mason said. "And the genius Neil from the Stewart family is deeply in love with Lisa. Once he knows about this, he will definitely trouble James. By then, no matter how powerful James is, he will have to die!"
"That's great!" Yosef was overjoyed.
Mason added, "We can set a trap for James, making him fall into it and never recover!"
