Chapter 640 Full-scale Attack

In the dense forest, the sounds of gunfire and screams echoed continuously. James had transformed into the most terrifying assassin, hunting down the killers hidden within the forest.

In less than half an hour, the battle in the forest gradually came to a halt. James had taken out all the hidden assassins one by one. A few managed to escape, but they were so terrified that they fled in panic.

The faces of the escaping assassins were mostly blank. They were used to being the hunters, not the hunted. Who would have thought they'd encounter such a formidable opponent today? Dozens of assassins, at least half of them, had fallen at the hands of that monster! Even more terrifying, no one knew what he looked like. How powerful must he be to achieve this?

Deep within the forest, a mysterious door stood out of nowhere. Three disheveled assassins rushed through it and vanished instantly. In a dim, unknown place, the three assassins landed on the ground and, without caring about their disheveled state, hurried into a blood-red hall.

"Trouble! We're under attack! We're under attack!"

The three assassins no longer looked like killers; they were more like frightened dogs, cowering on the ground. On a blood-red throne in front of them sat a figure cloaked in a blood-red robe. His eyes, glowing red, emitted a chilling aura as he looked at the three.

"Shut up! Make another sound, and you'll be fertilizer!"

A fierce-looking middle-aged man below the throne shouted, silencing the three assassins instantly. The figure in the blood-red robe then spoke in a cold voice, "Speak. What's their strength?"

"Leader, there are over a hundred of them. Most are around the third level. But there's one who's like a ghost, killing our people silently. Only the three of us made it back. Judging by their attire, they're from the Sunlandia National Security Agency."

The blood-robed figure nodded, lightly stroking a blood-red ring on his right hand. His raspy voice then said, "It seems the intel was correct. Everyone, prepare to act. I'll handle James myself. We must kill them all here. We can't let them disturb the King, or you know the consequences."

With that, the leader stood up and walked towards the door. "Throw these three into the blood pool."

"No, Leader, please! We don't want to go into the blood pool!"

"Please, no!"

Their cries of terror echoed as their bodies stiffened. Shadows emerged from the darkness, dragging them away, their screams gradually fading in the hall.

Outside, James and his team had reached the strange door. After a headcount, they found that two of their own had died, and about ten were injured. Though they had won, the cost was high.

"Mr. Smith, what now?"

Outside, James and his team had reached the strange door. After a headcount, they found that two of their own had died, and about ten were injured. Though they had won, the cost was high.

"Mr. Smith, what now?"

Everyone looked to James. He was examining the unremarkable stone door. James knew they couldn't just waltz through it, so to find the hidden base, he had to crack it open.

Just then, a message came in: a large number of assassins had surrounded them.

Sidney was alarmed, but James seemed to have anticipated this. He told Sidney, "Set up a defensive line. I need time to break this door."

Following James's instructions, Sidney quickly issued orders. Their weapons and ammunition were ready.

Ratatatat.

The sound of a light machine gun firing was followed by screams around them. Sidney, tasked with guarding James, hadn't yet deployed the few third-level experts with him.

"Well, well, well, I admire your courage. Attacking the headquarters of the Godslayer Temple!"

A cold voice rang out, and Sidney and the other experts tensed. As the voice faded, four figures appeared on a tree ahead, led by the blood-robed leader.

The leader's cold gaze fell on James, who was still crouched by the stone door.

"So, you're James?"

James ignored the leader and told Sidney, "Hold them off!"

Sidney, a third-level intermediate, unleashed his aura, scattering the leaves around him. He turned to the five third-level experts with him and said, "One of you stay with me to handle their leader. The rest, kill!"

"Well, if you're so eager to die, I'll send you to hell!"

With that, the three third-level experts beside the leader charged, their bloodthirsty aura blocking the National Security Agency's experts.

Boom, boom, boom.

The clash was fierce, with no one holding back. It was a fight to the death. Today, it was either them or us; no one dared to be distracted.

Sidney glared at the leader and shouted, "Do you only hide in the shadows? Afraid to show your face?"

"You won't provoke me with such tricks. If you want to see my face, you'll have to earn it!"

With that, he leaped from the tree like an eagle, diving at Sidney, his blood-red aura exploding, even stronger than Sidney's!

"A third-level advanced! Send the signal, notify the other three teams!"

Sidney shouted to the experts beside him and charged, his fist glowing with Qi, clashing with the leader.

The leader was momentarily halted, landing on the ground, while Sidney was pushed back several steps, his breathing heavy, his face flushed.

Sidney was shocked. "Such powerful Qi!"

At that moment, one of the experts sent a signal flare into the sky, signaling a full-scale attack. The other three teams would see it and launch their assault.

To the east, an old man saw the signal and squinted. "The Sunlandia National Security Agency has launched a full-scale attack. Heh, Godslayer Organization scum, you killed my apprentice. Today, it's payback time."

He exchanged glances with the two leaders beside him and then waved his hand. "Friends, today we settle our scores. Charge!"

Everyone turned to James. He was studying the plain stone door. James knew they couldn't just walk through it, so to find the hidden base, he had to crack it open.
