Chapter 528 Visitors From the National Security Agency

"The climate in Serenity State is indeed much warmer than in the City of Mysteries." Lisa took off her down jacket, a curious smile on her face.

Her appearance caused quite a stir at the airport because Lisa was incredibly gorgeous, more stunning than any celebrity. Especially her aura, which was so noble that no one had ever seen such a high-class beauty.

However, no one dared to disrespect Lisa, or even had the courage to approach her.

This was because Lisa was surrounded by more than forty bodyguards, all tall and burly, looking very professional. Each one was a top-notch expert with sharp eyes. Anyone passing by the airport who caught their gaze would be terrified and shiver.

Even a fool could tell that Lisa was not an ordinary person but someone from a top-tier family. For such a big shot, no matter how beautiful she was, they wouldn't dare to have any bad thoughts. If they got caught, the consequences would be dire.

Lisa was already used to being watched like this; she didn't feel uncomfortable at all.

Lisa was one of the top women in Sunlandia, and being the center of attention was truly normal.

When it came to being a woman, Lisa had absolute confidence and superiority. She didn't think there was any other woman in the world who could compare to her. Lisa believed that James choosing Jennifer over her was the biggest mistake of his life.

This time, Lisa came to Lindwood City not only out of curiosity about what was special about Jennifer but also to tell James a truth: that she, Lisa, was the best woman in the world, bar none.

"You went to Starlight State last night?" James and Jennifer were having breakfast together when Jennifer asked in surprise.

She had just gotten the news from Dennis, and Jennifer was very surprised.

James nodded, not denying it.

"What did you go there for?" Jennifer asked.

"To take care of some things," James said casually. It wasn't that he was deliberately hiding it from Jennifer, but there was no need to worry her with such matters.

Jennifer looked at James for a few seconds, her eyes flashing with some light, and softly said, "Did you go to retaliate against Mr. Lewis behind Calvin?"

James looked up, a bit surprised. He didn't expect Jennifer to be so smart and figure it out so quickly.

With James's reaction, Jennifer cottoned on what happened. She leaned gently into James's arms without a word, just hugging him silently. James was stunned for a moment, then he softened and gently stroked Jennifer's hair.

At that moment, James suddenly frowned, a meaningful expression flashing across his face. He softly said to Jennifer, "Jennifer, I have something to do. You go to the clinic first; I'll be there soon."

Jennifer was somewhat surprised, but upon seeing the smile on James's face, she refrained from asking further questions. She simply nodded gently and obediently made her way to the infirmary on her own.

After Jennifer left, James ambled down to a nearby park, sat on a stone bench, and crossed his legs. After a while, a few individuals with upright postures and an aura of righteousness walked over.

James was a bit surprised to see them. These individuals were clearly former soldiers, with impressive skills, obviously having been on the battlefield.

This was unexpected. James had never provoked anyone from the military.

Moreover, these individuals were very wary of James, showing hostility. James suspected whether the Lewis family had a military background.

To be honest, James really didn't want to have a conflict with the military.

When James saved Derek, Derek had extended an olive branch to him, which James had refused without hesitation.

"James, we are from the National Security Agency, here to see you." At the forefront was a woman of extraordinary height and a particularly sensual, toned physique, radiating explosive power that clearly indicated regular exercise. Additionally, she possessed striking beauty, resembling a fierce leopard that evoked a desire to conquer in those who beheld her. James also discerned that this woman harbored immense inner energy; she was an expert at the second stage of martial arts, and impressively, at the pinnacle of that stage.

This was exceedingly rare, for this woman appeared to be no more than twenty-six years old, around the same age as James.

This was very rare among women.

Behind her were four men, slightly inferior to her but also second-stage martial artists. The five of them together were a formidable force anywhere.

They were extremely cautious and defensive towards James, clearly aware of his strength.

After speaking, the woman took out an ID from her pocket and showed it to James, proving her identity.

"Clio Webb? Nice name." James glanced at it and found that this woman was even a CAPT, which was impressive.

Clio's face was serious as she said to James, "James, we are here because of what happened last night."

"Oh, I see." James nodded with a smile, "Are you here for Brent or Delbert?"

Clio's eyes flashed with surprise. She didn't expect James to be so smart and figure out so much so quickly.

"Brent is the son of Yosef, the head of the Lewis family. You took his life in front of so many people, which is a criminal offense. Please come with us," Clio said sternly.

An ordinary person would have been scared out of their wits upon hearing this, but James remained calm, even smiling, and said, "Got it. You're here for Delbert. So, Delbert is with the military?"

As James said this, not only Clio but also the four men showed surprised expressions. They didn't expect James to be this smart.

Clio was silent for a moment and then said, "Mr. Smith, you are indeed very smart.  Mr. Loomis was with the National Security Agency. You killed Mr. Loomis, so you must give the National Security Agency an explanation."

"May I ask, what kind of explanation do you want? An eye for an eye?" James was still smiling, as if discussing something very ordinary. His calmness made Clio and the others very uncomfortable, but they didn't dare to act rashly. Unconsciously, James had taken control of the situation.

Clio said seriously, "Mr. Smith, that's not for me to decide. Our task is to take you back."

James then showed a meaningful smile, "What if I refuse?"
