Chapter 136: Exactly Three Seconds, No More, No Less

'Wait, why is the aura of this loser so intimidating now?' they wondered.
Terry and his crew shivered, internally shocked, thinking they were hallucinating.
"Looks like you're not as dumb as I thought." Terry sneered. He was increasingly annoyed by James. No wonder Curtis hated him so much; this guy was just plain irritating.
James guessed it was Curtis. He was shocked by Curtis's filthy attempt and decided to make Curtis pay hard this time.
Seeing James remain silent, Terry and the others thought he was scared. Terry mocked, "Loser, are you scared now? Weren't you acting all high and mighty? A loser is a loser! Let me tell you, people like you shouldn't mess with people like me and Curtis. Some people are born noble and extraordinary, while others are born to be losers, living mediocre lives. A loser like you daring to marry someone as beautiful as Jennifer is your biggest mistake."
Terry's words were full of arrogance and disdain. In his eyes, people were classified by status and value.
James laughed. He understood why Terry was Curtis's friend suddenly.
They were both despicable.
"Terry, do you think that just because you have more people, you can definitely beat me?"
Seeing James's enigmatic smile, Terry suddenly felt bad. From the beginning until now, James's behavior had been too unusual. He hadn't shown any fear, and Terry was sure James wasn't faking it; he genuinely wasn't afraid.
'But where did James's confidence come from? Did he call for backup? Curtis said he was a loser. Even if he called for help, they wouldn't be a match for us. Or did James call the police?' Terry began to think.
After a while, Terry denied all the possibilities. To him, James couldn't possibly beat them, especially since they had a professional fitness trainer who could probably pin James to the ground with ease.
"You're just bluffing. I think you need a good beating..."
However, before he could finish his sentence, he was slapped hard across the face and fell heavily to the ground. He was stunned.
He hadn't even seen how James made his move!
The others were also in a daze. They hadn't seen how James made his move either.
At this moment, they only heard a cold voice,
"One."
As the words fell, two of the remaining men were punched and knocked out on the spot.
"Two."
Another two punches fell, and two more men were sent flying, losing half their teeth as they hit the ground.
"Three."
The last fitness trainer felt like he was hearing the voice of death. As James stood in front of him, staring at him, he felt a fear he had never experienced before!
He opened his mouth to beg for mercy, but James didn't give him the chance. Grabbing his hair, James slammed his head into the wall. With a loud crash and a spray of blood, the trainer's body wobbled and collapsed.
Exactly three seconds, and all six men, including Terry, were on the ground.
James didn't even break a sweat. It didn't look like he had just taken down six big guys; it was more like he had swatted six mosquitoes. His displayed combat prowess was terrifying.
Terry was so scared he almost wet himself!
His lips trembled continuously as he cursed inwardly, realizing he had been set up by that bastard Curtis!
'Curtis had said James was a loser—but how could a loser fight like that?' Terry thought it with remorse.
Seeing James approach with a murderous look on his face, Terry panicked, truly panicked. He trembled and begged for mercy. "Mr. Smith, Mr. Smith! I was wrong! It's not my fault; I was threatened by that bastard Curtis; I had no choice! I really want to do business with you guys."
However, James didn't stop because of his explanation. With a devilish smile on his face, he placed one foot on Terry's chest, looking down at him.
"I heard you're destined to be noble and extraordinary?"
"No, no, no! You heard wrong; I'm not noble; I'm a wretch, the most despicable scoundrel, please..."
James didn't let Terry finish and kicked him unconscious.
For the remaining conscious ones, he used the same method to knock them out. After finishing this, he started to leave.
Five minutes ago, Curtis had been waiting outside for a while, but Terry and the others hadn't come out. Growing impatient, he decided not to wait any longer. He never considered that James might be pretending to be drunk, nor did he think James could handle so many of Terry's men alone. He assumed Terry was already torturing James, so he didn't bother waiting any longer. He decided to deal with Jennifer first!
To ensure he had a good time tonight, he had taken two blue pills to maintain peak performance.
Suppressing his excitement, he made his way to Jennifer's room and opened the door with a key card.
As soon as he entered, he smelled Jennifer's lingering fragrance in the air—that was so enticing for him!
His heart raced, and he was unable to contain his excitement.
The room was dimly lit, just the way he liked it.
Curtis had gone to a hotel with girls thunders of time, but he had never felt this level of anticipation and excitement. The thrill made him extremely excited, his whole body buzzing with energy.
'Where's Jennifer?' he mumbled inwardly as he didn't see Jennifer when he entered.
Soon, he was grinning and felt even more excited because he heard the sound of running water. Clearly, Jennifer was taking a shower inside.
This was just too perfect!
He could clearly feel every cell in his body becoming active.
Unfortunately, the bathroom wasn't made of frosted glass, so he couldn't see inside. He felt a pang of regret.
He initially wanted to go in directly but then thought better of it. After all, Jennifer was already in the room and couldn't escape. There was no need to rush. The night was long, and there was plenty of time. It would be better to wait for Jennifer to come out and give her a big surprise.
Finally, after waiting a bit longer, the door opened.
