Chapter 425 Dennis's Anger

James was pretty stoked with how Walter was cooperating. It turned out Walter wasn't as dumb as he first thought; the guy had some brains after all.

Seeing James all pleased, Walter felt even happier. He didn't have any beef with James anymore.

Walter was totally won over by James. Being a martial arts nut, he now looked up to James, who was a total badass in martial arts.

James got up, gave Walter a pat on the shoulder, and said, "If you nail it today, I promise you'll be a martial artist in three days."

"Really?" Walter was shaking with excitement.

James didn't say anything else but walked past him and faced Ezra. "What was that? You wanted to kill me and make me beg for mercy?"

Ezra was scared out of his mind, all his previous swagger gone. He quickly stood up and said, "It's a misunderstanding! I was an idiot and offended you. I'm sorry!" He then started slapping himself, making loud smacking sounds.

Seeing Walter's respectful and flattering attitude towards James, something Ezra had never seen before, he knew he was in deep trouble. There was no way out, even though he was part of the Jenkins Family. He knew his place.

With Ezra shaking in front of James, the Johnson Family members were even more terrified, like the Swords of Damocles were suspended over their heads.

James smirked and turned to Walter, saying, "Is this your brother? He's got some nerve and kept saying he wants to kill me."

Walter shivered at James's cold smile and quickly shook his head. "No, he's not my brother; he's just a distant relative of the Jenkins Family."

"He insulted my family just now, and I'm pissed," James said calmly.

"I get it." Walter immediately understood. He walked over and slapped Ezra, sending him flying. "You must have a death wish, insulting the great benefactor of the Jenkins Family? How dare you use the Jenkins Family's name to throw your weight around? Unforgivable!"

He then started beating Ezra, punching and kicking him hard. In seconds, Ezra was barely hanging on.

Not sure what James wanted, Walter waited for his command. Seeing James stay silent, he went ahead and crippled Ezra's arms and legs.

Even though Ezra was part of the Jenkins Family, he was no match for Walter. Crippling him was no big deal.

Walter was furious. This idiot had offended James, and if James took it out on him, he'd be in trouble too!

"That's enough," James said, and Walter let out a sigh of relief. He had been worried James would make him kill Ezra. After all, Ezra was still a member of the Jenkins Family, and killing him would cause some trouble.

But this way, James's punishment was effective. Every member of the Johnsons was shaking, scared out of their minds.

James turned to the Johnson Family members and grinned, "I told you earlier that one phone call could make the Johnson Family disappear, and you all didn't believe me, huh?"

James's devilish smile sent chills down their spines. Rhys swallowed hard and stammered, "It's a misunderstanding! We're family, and it's great that you're back today. We're all really happy."

"Yeah, we've always considered Dennis one of us. We were just joking earlier, don't take it seriously."

Someone tried to butter up Dennis, "Dennis, tell James it was all a misunderstanding. We're family."

Suddenly, the Johnson Family members were all groveling and humble. No one dared to act high and mighty anymore.

Dennis was over the moon, feeling vindicated. He had always dreamed of a day when he could stand tall in front of the Johnson Family. He once thought that day would never come, but now it had. The once high-and-mighty Johnson Family members were now groveling before him, begging for his forgiveness like stray dogs.

He had never felt so satisfied in his life and couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"Rhys, weren't you always so arrogant and loved to bully me? Try bullying me now!"

"Molly, didn't you call me over just to humiliate me? Didn't see this coming, did you?"

"Apollo..."

Dennis was letting out all the pent-up grievances and resentment he had accumulated over the years. He pointed at each Johnson Family member, cursing them one by one, and no one dared to respond.

At that moment, they were all terrified. Even if they were unwilling, they didn't dare show it, fearing that any misstep could bring disaster to the Johnson Family.

Finally, Dennis was left with one person, Valor.

"Valor!" Dennis walked up to him, his eyes bloodshot. He had cursed so fiercely that he was now out of breath.

Hearing Dennis call him by his name, Valor felt his eyebrows twitch violently, and his face darkened.

'This bastard!' Valor cursed inside.

But he didn't dare vent his anger as he had before. He had to endure it now.

Dennis stared at Valor, his so-called biological father, with complex emotions in his eyes. "I actually respected you a lot. Even though you treated me that way, I still did. I dreamed of you calling me 'son.' But you never did!"

"Gradually, I began to hate you, hate you deeply. I'm also your biological son. Why did you treat me like that? What right did you have to treat me like that? Now, so many years have passed. I'm about to become a grandfather. I brought my wife, Jennifer, and James back, just wanting to return to the family. Why couldn't you even agree to that?" Dennis let out a lifetime of grievances and things he had always wanted to say.

Valor's face turned red with anger, and finally, he couldn't help but shout, "Enough! Dennis!"
