Chapter 22 Shocking the Audience!

Upon hearing these words, everyone was stunned! They widened their eyes and saw the raw stone in James's hand.

The side that had been analyzed revealed a fist-sized, emerald-green gemstone, incredibly transparent and pure, unmistakably a top-quality jadeite.

Witnessing this scene, everyone held their breath, their minds momentarily blank.

They were all enthusiasts of stone gambling, perhaps not all experts, but they knew what a top-grade jade looked like. The color and clarity of this gemstone were legendary top-quality jadeite.

Philip remarked shockingly, "What?! Top-quality jadeite!"

Phillip, who had been leisurely smoking, suddenly jerked, causing the cigarette to turn and burn his mouth. He jumped up in surprise. His son-in-law, Juan, sitting on the same stool, lost balance and fell to the ground in a rather awkward manner.

However, they were too engrossed to care about their appearances. They hurried forward, eyes wide, witnessing James truly extracting top-quality jadeite.

For a moment, their faces were priceless, looking like they'd just lost their folks.

"What the hell! How is this possible? I must be seeing things!" Phillip cursed and rubbed his eyes vigorously.

No matter how much he rubbed, it was futile. Instead, the top-grade jade being extracted from James's raw stone grew larger and larger which was now the size of an adult's fist.

And judging by the shape, there was still a significant chunk left!

Dale was dumbfounded and in disbelief. He doubted, "This can't be! How could this worthless stone yield jadeite of this quality?"

His words not only surprised but also infuriated Phillip.

Philip scolded, "Damn! Do you dare say that? I was going to buy that stone, but you said it couldn't yield any green! Now what? Do you have the nerve to call yourself a master? I think you're just a fraud, damn it!"

Phillip was furious. He thought, 'If it weren't for this damn Dale, he would have bought that stone long ago! Why did James get the chance? And it was top-grade jade, top-grade jade!'

Thinking about this, Phillip felt extremely frustrated, almost wishing he could devour Dale.

Upon hearing Phillip's words, Dale couldn't maintain his composure either. His facial expressions alternated from one humiliated and furious.

This incident was indeed a blow to his reputation. However, he had some standing in the circle. Proud and arrogant, being called a fraud by Phillip in front of everyone was unbearable.

He retorted immediately, "Am I your father? If I tell you not to buy, you wouldn't buy. You're a grown man with no backbone. If I tell you to eat shit, why don't you? Damn it!"

After saying this, seeing Juan's grim expression beside him, he regretted his outburst. He had acted impulsively and shouldn't have insulted Phillip in front of Juan.

But the words were out, and he had made his decision. Juan was just a minor leader in the group. Even if he offended him, it would only mean losing a friend, with no significant impact on himself.

Realizing this, he no longer hesitated, staring coldly at Phillip.

Poor Phillip, already irritated, was further provoked by Dale's words. His eyes turned red, and with a yell, he lunged at Dale, "You son of a bitch, blocking my way to riches. I'll take you on!"

He threw a punch at Dale's face, causing Dale to cry out in pain. Dale, also furious, retaliated by slapping Phillip hard across the face, knocking off his glasses.

In no time, Phillip and Dale were grappling on the ground, rolling around like they were mortal enemies, their attacks fierce.

Unfortunately, being both on the hefty side, their fight wasn't a pretty sight. It looked more like two mad dogs fighting, comical in their struggle.

Soon, under his wife's pressure, Juan also joined the fray, teaming up with Phillip to tussle with Dale, creating a spectacular scene.

James wore a faint smile, feeling quite pleased.

"Dennis! A top-grade jadeite, James has truly extracted a top-grade jade!" Kaitlyn, excited, ran to the neighboring store, grabbed Dennis's hand, and exclaimed loudly.

Dennis, who had already grown impatient and moved to the adjacent store for coffee, frowned upon hearing Kaitlyn's words, clearly disbelieving.

He said doubtfully, "You're talking nonsense. How could that worthless stone yield top-grade jade?"

"It's true, it's true! It's buzzing over there; James has really extracted top-grade jade, making a fortune. We're making a fortune!" Kaitlyn excitedly shouted.

Dennis's hand trembled, almost dropping the teacup. He stood up abruptly, and asked, "Top-grade jade has been extracted?!"

"Why would I lie to you? Hurry over! Dennis, you've misunderstood James this time. He really does have some skills!" Kaitlyn spoke up for James. Among the Johnson Family, her attitude towards James was relatively positive.

"Damn!" Dennis couldn't help but curse, hastily making his way over.

Soon, when he saw that James had already extracted a third of the raw stone, the emerald-green color, and the transparent quality, it struck him hard in the heart.

Jennifer stood behind James, covering her mouth, eyes wide with astonishment.

'He really extracted top-grade jadeite. My goodness!' Jennifer thought.

In fact, everyone had a similar expression. To spend two thousand and extract top-grade jadeite was truly mind-blowing. What's more, they had mocked James, considering him a waste and an outsider.

Now that he had truly extracted the green and top-grade jade at that, it was like a slap in the face for each of them, stinging deeply.

At that moment, Mr. Rogers hurriedly spoke, "James... No, Mr. Smith, how about you transfer this raw stone to me? I'll pay you three hundred thousand for it. Most of the jade has already been extracted, and there isn't much left to extract. By transferring it to me for three hundred thousand, you'd be making a huge profit."

Many people sneered. Mr. Rogers was truly cunning, trying to buy the top-grade jadeite for three hundred thousand.

Not to mention the remaining two-thirds of the raw stone, which could still yield a large chunk of green stone, even the extracted pieces were worth far more than three hundred thousand.

Immediately, another person stepped forward, declaring, "Mr. Smith, don't listen to him. I'll pay $500,000 for your raw stone!"

Someone offered, "I'll pay $800,000!"

One countered the offer, "Damn it, I'll pay one million!"

Soon, the price had soared to $1,500,000.

Everyone present was incredibly envious. James had become rich overnight.

Phillip and Juan were especially green with envy, thinking that this top-grade jadeite should have been theirs, but Dale, the idiot, dismissed it. They were even furious in their hearts, and they beat up Dale again.

James smiled faintly and said, "I'm sorry, but I'm not planning to sell." With that, he continued to work on the stones.

Dennis came from behind. He watched as James focused on unraveling the stone, and he felt as if a cat had scratched his heart!

He regretted it deeply. If he had known that top-grade jadeite could be extracted, he would never have insulted James!

He regretted it deeply.

But he had the audacity to squat down and say to James, "Oh, my good son-in-law..."
