Chapter 328 Teasing Arianwen

The dude who had answered James' phone was still fuming after hanging up. The guy on the other end was so cocky, it really got under his skin! But seriously, who the heck was this guy who had Emberlyn's private number?

When the call connected, the dude didn't even bother with a "hello" and just told Emberlyn to clean up the mess, no pleasantries or nothing. That kind of rudeness meant he had to be tight with Emberlyn!

No way he was gonna let some other guy get close to Emberlyn!

Thinking fast, he pulled up the call log and jotted down the number. When he got back to his place, he was definitely gonna find out who this James guy was.

He quickly opened the call log and saw the number saved as "Homie James." His already bad mood turned into full-blown rage.

He'd known Emberlyn for three years and never heard her call anyone "homie." She didn't even call him that; she just called him by his name, and usually with a bit of impatience. But this guy? He got to be called "homie" by Emberlyn?

Jealousy and anger hit him hard, his hand shaking as he held the phone.

Just as he was about to click on the call log, a voice came from behind him, "Walter Jenkins, have you seen my phone?"

It was Emberlyn. She'd just come out of the bathroom and was looking for her phone. Seeing Walter acting all shady, she walked over and asked. As soon as she finished speaking, she saw Walter holding her phone, swiping through it. She got pissed instantly and kicked Walter, cursing, "Walter, are you looking for trouble? How dare you touch my phone?"

Walter yelped in pain, clutching his leg. Emberlyn snatched the phone from him.

"Spill it, what did you see on my phone?" Emberlyn stared coldly at Walter.

Walter, grimacing in pain, said, "I just saw your phone on the table and wanted to give it to you. I didn't see anything."

He was clearly a bit scared of Emberlyn, speaking all timidly.

Emberlyn snorted heavily. She unlocked the phone and saw the call log screen, with "Homie James" at the top, and the call was five minutes ago. She immediately got angry, glaring at Walter. "Did you answer my phone just now?"

Walter instinctively wanted to deny it, but seeing Emberlyn's agitated look, he remembered what James had said on the phone and got angry, too, saying, "Yeah, I answered it. Who is this James?"

Emberlyn was furious upon hearing this, glaring at Walter and cursing, "Walter, you got some nerve, answering my phone without my permission? Tell me, what did you say to him?"

Walter also got angry, his face darkening. "So you admit it, you got some secret with this James?"

At that moment, a voice from the living room downstairs called out, "Emberlyn, Walter, what are you arguing about? Why don't you come down and eat something?"

Emberlyn held back, glaring at Walter with pure disgust. "Walter, you make me sick. You wanna know what I think of you? I despise you. Even if I never get married, I will never be with you. Just give it up!"

After dropping that bomb, Emberlyn stormed downstairs.

Walter's face turned dark as night. He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth. "James, huh? Think you can steal my girl? Not a chance!"

Meanwhile, James, who had just gotten back to his dorm, suddenly sneezed ominously, feeling a bit puzzled.

Opening the door, he saw Arianwen hanging from a rope, doing some weird training.

She opened her eyes and saw James covered in blood, his once neat suit now in tatters. She frowned slightly and asked, "Did you get into a fight?"

James knew he couldn't hide it from Arianwen, so he nodded and admitted, "Yeah."

He headed into the kitchen, poking his head out to ask Arianwen, "I'm gonna cook. Are you hungry?"

"No." Arianwen snorted, turning her gaze away, speaking coldly.

Alright, James was used to her icy demeanor and didn't get mad.

Arianwen was probably the most unqualified maid in the world. She was always super cold to her master and didn't know how to please him. Living with Arianwen felt like raising a cat—she was beautiful, clean, but very aloof.

He had fought for a long time earlier, exhausting, and now he was starving.

Speaking of which, he had bought these ingredients himself. If he relied on Arianwen, he would starve to death.

After cooking, a delicious aroma wafted from the kitchen into the living room, reaching Arianwen's nose, making her frown and her stomach growl.

The smell was so tempting that she felt hungry.

James brought out a big pot, placed it on the dining table, grabbed some utensils, took a can of Coke from the fridge, and started eating heartily.

At this moment, Arianwen's stomach growled again. James paused and asked, "Was that your stomach?"

A blush flashed across Arianwen's face, but she quickly suppressed it. She deliberately turned her body away, back to James, and said, "It wasn't."

James chuckled, his eyes twinkling. He then deliberately smacked his lips. "It smells so good and it tastes so great."

Arianwen knew James was doing it on purpose. Her previously calm demeanor was immediately disrupted. She clenched her fists andgritted her teeth in anger.

She had deliberately skipped dinner today and was already a bit hungry. Normally, with her willpower and stamina, this bit of hunger wouldn't affect her. Even if she didn't eat for three days, she would be fine.

But James was deliberately eating loudly, and the tempting aroma kept wafting to her nose, making it hard for her to concentrate. She couldn't help but curse, "Can you keep it down?"

"It taste so good... What did you say?" James, with his mouth full of food, looked at her, making Arianwen very angry.
