Chapter 526 Lisa Wants to Meet Jennifer

During this period, Lisa had been using her own methods to investigate James's whereabouts.

Initially, she thought it would be a simple task, but to her surprise, she had been investigating for quite a while without finding any trace of James.

James had once again disappeared.

It wasn't until tonight that she learned about this from the Starlight State Intelligence Bureau and discovered James's whereabouts.

To Lisa, a small fry like Brent was just a minor figure.

"Ms. Savoy, the investigation is complete. Five years ago, James went to Lindwood City in Serenity State and became the son-in-law of the Johnson family," Heather said with a strange expression, holding the information.

When she first learned this news, she thought she had misheard.

As was well-known that James was the most talented genius in the history of the Smith family, a dominant figure in the City of Mysteries, unmatched by anyone.

Lisa found it surprising that someone as proud as James would become the son-in-law of the Johnson family especially with the permission of the Smith family.

Lisa thought Heather must have made a mistake. Lisa huffed, "Heather, are you daring to fool me?"

Heather handed the information directly to Lisa and said, "Ms. Savoy, how would I dare to fool you? See for yourself. The information from our intelligence team in Serenity State confirms that James is the son-in-law of the Johnson family! And it has been five years, starting from the time James disappeared!"

"What?" Lisa's body shook. She had been lazily lying on the sofa watching TV, but now she stood up straight, took the information from Heather, and quickly browsed through it. Her mouth dropped open in shock.

James had married into a family, and it was an ordinary family!

It was a big shock for Lisa.

Lisa felt her worldview had been turned upside down and found it hard to believe.

Then Lisa thought of something and quickly said, "Do you have a photo of this woman named Jennifer? Let me see."

"Yeah, just a moment." Heather ran to the computer to search and then said to Lisa, "Ms. Savoy, I've sent Jennifer's photo to your phone."

Lisa's phone vibrated, and she received a message on Facebook. She eagerly opened it and saw several photos of Jennifer, not just from recent years but also from her childhood and college days.

Heather, having observed from the photos, remarked, "Indeed, this Jennifer has some charm, but compared to you, Ms. Savoy, she falls significantly short. She's simply not in the same league."

Lisa looked very seriously. After she finished, she fell into deep thought, unable to calm down.

To be honest, James marrying into a family was even more shocking than James killing Brent in public, and even more shocking than hearing that James had been stripped of his inheritance rights by Alistair!

Lisa pondered how someone of James' status would willingly marry into another family and stay for five years. Moreover, he was willing to sever ties with the Smith family for this woman named Jennifer. No matter how she looked at it, it seemed utterly absurd.

It felt like an emperor giving up his throne to become a beggar.

This was something any normal person would find ridiculous.

But James did it.

Initially, Lisa had no sense of curiosity about James. Her decision to marry him was driven more by his status and capabilities rather than his personality. However, her perspective has now changed.

James had piqued her immense curiosity, wondering James's intention.

Moreover, Lisa was even more curious about Jennifer.

Lisa wondered what kind of woman could inspire a man like James to be willing to forsake everything.

Lisa was an extremely proud woman. Her pride came from her bones, from the depths of her soul. Firstly, she was the princess of the Savoy family, and she was exceptionally beautiful and capable. She genuinely believed that no woman in the world could surpass her, not even the other two famous beauties, Cynthia and Brenda.

But now, there was a woman named Jennifer who had outshone her!

She couldn't forget that day when James was calm and indifferent towards her, not attracted to her at all, as if she were just an ordinary woman.

Frankly, she was quite unconvinced. Rather than being curious about Jennifer, it was more accurate that she was unconvinced, with intention to compete with Jennifer.

"Prepare for me. I want to go to Serenity State in person tomorrow," Lisa said, still engrossed in the photos on her phone, which included a picture of James and Jennifer together.

Heather was stunned and asked, "Ms. Savoy, but don't you have an appointment with Mr. Stewart tomorrow?"

"Cancel it," Lisa said without hesitation.

"That's not very appropriate. Mr. Stewart is very fond of you, Ms. Savoy." Heather said.

Lisa glared, "Shut up!"

Heather trembled. It had been a long time since Lisa had scolded her like this. She saw the anger in Lisa's eyes and immediately knelt in front of Lisa, slapping her own face hard, not daring to be perfunctory. Soon, her mouth was bleeding.

Only then did Lisa's expression soften a bit. Lisa said calmly, "Alright, get up. Don't talk back to me again, or you won't serve me anymore."

Heather was genuinely scared and quickly shook her head, saying she wouldn't dare anymore.

During this period, Lisa had become more lenient with her, making her bolder. Now she suddenly realized she was just a maid.

But she didn't dare to have any complaints.

Seeing her pitiful and anxious look, Lisa sighed, "Heather, I'll tell you one last time. There's no possibility between Neil and me, so don't waste your efforts."

Heather nodded, indicating she wouldn't dare to act up again.

Lisa paused and then added, "Investigate more thoroughly. What exactly is Jennifer capable of? Also, find out Jennifer's whereabouts. I want to meet her in person when James is not around. James is deeply in love with her, and I want to see if she feels the same way about him."

A meaningful smile appeared on Lisa's lips.
