Chapter 419 Do You Know Each Other?
"What?" Valor shouted, jumping up with excitement, his face turning red. "What are you waiting for? Get them in here, quick!"
James was just as shocked. 'Could it really be Walter? No way. Walter's the heir to the Jenkins Family, a big deal. Why would he come to see the Johnsons?'
In Sunridge City, the Johnsons were just rich folks, while the Jenkins Family had real power.
The rest of the Johnsons were thrilled when they heard the news. This was a huge surprise for them! They'd always dreamed of connecting with the Jenkins Family, but the Jenkins had never given them the time of day. Now, someone from the Jenkins Family was actually visiting. Talk about luck!
So, they all forgot about punishing James. Compared to someone from the Jenkins Family, James was a nobody, just a useless guy. They could deal with him later. Also, there's more than one way to skin a cat.
Jennifer, looking nervous, asked, "James, do you know someone from the Jenkins Family?"
James thought for a second and nodded, "Yeah, I guess you could say that."
Jennifer relaxed, her eyes lighting up with hope, "That's awesome!"
The Johnsons all put on their best smiles, found seats, and sat down, eagerly waiting for the Jenkins Family member to come in.
"Didn't you say you saved Derek? Now that someone from the Jenkins Family is here, let's see if they recognize you," one of the Johnsons sneered at James.
A man from the Johnsons remembered and started mocking him too, "Yeah, saving Derek's life is a big deal. If only they come to see you. You would think of that, wouldn't you?"
Everyone joined in, showing no respect at all.
Another person chimed in, "Don't buy his crap. Derek's a big shot in Sunridge City. I'll be damned if he has turned to a guy like that for help."
"Who knows, maybe he's some miracle doctor, and Derek needed him to save his life. Remember how boastful Dennis was when he talked about his son-in-law. Some serious connections with a lot of big shots, Huh? Like we are dumb enough to buy that."
The room was filled with laughter. Everyone was waiting to see James embarrass himself.
James didn't care much. He had saved Derek's life. If it was really Walter coming, these people would be in for a shock.
He just worried it might not be Walter, but someone less important from the Jenkins Family who didn't know about him saving Derek. That would be a problem. He regretted not getting Derek's contact info back then. If he had, he could've just called Derek and had him come over, which would blow everyone's minds.
Soon, a few people walked in. Leading the pack was a slightly chubby guy in a black suit, decked out in designer brands. He looked about twenty-seven or twenty-eight, definitely giving off rich heir vibes.
Behind him were three big guys, clearly his bodyguards.
Seeing this guy, James sighed. Just as he thought, it wasn't Walter.
Valor and the others saw the chubby man and immediately lit up with excitement. They rushed over to greet him, "Mr. Jenkins, great to see you."
Ezra Jenkins smiled and said, "Grandpa, tomorrow's a holiday, so I came a day early to bring you a gift and wish you good health."
He called Valor grandpa, making the Johnson Family even more thrilled. Someone from the Jenkins Family calling Valor Grandpa? That was huge respect.
Valor was over the moon, quickly taking the gift, "Ezra, it's enough that you came. No need for gifts!"
Ezra smiled and exchanged some polite words, then asked, "Where's Ethel? I'm here to see her."
Valor then realized his granddaughter Ethel was with Ezra from the Jenkins Family! He got even more excited, practically shaking with joy.
"Where's Ethel? Where's Ethel?" Valor shouted excitedly.
"Dad, Ethel's upstairs," someone replied.
"Get her down here, Ezra's here to see her," Valor laughed heartily, unable to hide his grin.
The other Johnsons felt the same way. They had no idea Ethel was with Ezra from the Jenkins Family. This was fantastic news.
Soon, Ethel came downstairs. She was pretty, but not as stunning as Jennifer.
Ethel clearly knew Ezra was coming. She had put on makeup and wore tight clothes to show off her figure, looking very seductive, making Ezra's eyes light up.
"Ezra, didn't I tell you to come tomorrow?" Ethel said shyly.
Ezra's eyes were glued to her, especially her chest, and he said, "I missed you. Aren't you happy to see me?"
"Not at all," Ethel shook her head, her face full of happiness.
"Let me introduce you to my family. This is my grandpa, this is my dad, and this is my mom," Ethel said, holding Ezra's hand and introducing him.
As Ethel introduced his family to Ezra, it was soon Dennis and Jennifer's turn. Since she hadn't come downstairs earlier, she didn't recognize Dennis and the others, but when she saw Jennifer, a flash of jealousy crossed her face.
Ethel had always been confident in her looks. She even worked as a live streamer and had many fans. She met Ezra because he watched her livestream and tipped her generously. They met offline and started dating.
When Ezra saw Jennifer, his eyes were even more fixed, filled with amazement.
Compared to Jennifer, Ethel had no advantage at all, ranging from figure, appearance, and vibe.
"Dad, who are they?" Ethel turned and asked.
