Chapter 100 Elizabeth Actually Came Out
Loren saw Richard looking confident, ready to fight back.
Hence, he swallowed his words. He intended to suggest that Elizabeth might have a scheme in motion, yet the intricacies remained elusive. It likely aligned with Richard's foresight—an enigmatic twist possibly stemming from the mystique of divination. Absent this possibility, the enigma eluded them entirely. Delving into this conjecture at present seemed futile.
"Alright, I'll wait and see," Loren said, gearing up for the confrontation.
As they talked, Arnold stormed in, furious.
Loren asked, "What's up with you?"
Arnold fumed, "What's Elizabeth doing? She signed the person I hate most to her studio."
He'd tried contacting Elizabeth a few times, but she deleted him and blocked his number. He then borrowed a phone to call her, and she had hung up as soon as she heard his voice. He had already been mad after learning about the news, and now he was even angrier.
Loren pinched his brow. "You're missing the point."
Arnold, focused on writing songs, wasn't picking up on things. "What point?" he asked, confused.
Richard sighed, "The point isn't what Elizabeth is doing. She's obviously trying to piss us off."
Arnold was stunned. "Why would she do that?"
Richard couldn't help but say, "You must've caught Kevin's stupidity. You're getting dumber too."
He didn't even want to explain, feeling exhausted. How could Elizabeth be so much smarter than these two?
Arnold snapped, "Richard, you're the dumb one. I've been writing songs and not paying attention to outside stuff."
Richard sneered, "Even without writing songs, you're still like this."
In the family, Kevin was the dumbest, Enrique the most impulsive, and Arnold the most naive.
He looked at Loren and sighed, "Loren, it'll just be us holding the family together."
Loren said, "That's enough."
Saying too much would hurt their brotherly bond; Arnold and Kevin had their pride.
Arnold got the mockery in Richard's words, feeling like they were dragging them down.
He sneered, "If you weren't so ruthless, always hiring people to curse Elizabeth, she wouldn't be going against us and ignoring us."
He snorted again, "Richard, don't speak too soon. You'll be the one embarrassed later."
Richard was silent. Now all the blame was on him? He was already angry and now felt even more exhausted. "I don't want to talk to you, we can't communicate."
Arnold replied, "Richard, you're really rude."
Richard gave him a cold smile.
Arnold snorted, "I can't communicate with someone as scheming as you."
He turned and left, slamming the door loudly.
Richard's face looked worse. "Arnold and Kevin are too hard to manage."
Loren patted his shoulder. "You'll get used to it."
He had never expected much from those two.
Richard shrugged. "I can only comfort myself like this."
What else could they do?
Loren didn't go back to his office but sat there, waiting to see what would happen next.
He asked, "Do you think Anna will respond?"
Richard said, "Hard to say. Anna usually avoids artists with bad reps, so she might not respond."
But with Elizabeth countering him repeatedly, he wasn't sure anymore.
Loren thought for a moment. "I think she will."
Richard asked, "Why so sure?"
Loren replied, "Elizabeth wouldn't do something pointless. She probably talked to Anna before posting."
He'd noticed Elizabeth was not only smart but also strategic.
Richard didn't want to admit it. "Is she really that capable?"
Just then, Loren refreshed the timeline. "See?"
[@StarSpark Entertainment-Anna: Very happy to work with you! @Elizabeth @Emily]
Reading it, Richard felt frustrated. "Loren, you really get her now."
Loren said, "You underestimated her. Don't look at Elizabeth with your old perspective, or you'll fail."
They'd underestimated Elizabeth before, leading to repeated failures.
From Kevin to Richard, this lesson had to be learned.
Richard didn't want to accept it. "I won't underestimate her again, but I also won't lose to her."
Elizabeth being a worthy opponent, ignited his fighting spirit.
Loren nodded, saying no more.
Anna's response surprised everyone in the entertainment industry.
They couldn't understand why Anna would let Emily on her show and be so polite to Elizabeth.
It couldn't be just because Elizabeth was a Clark, right?
When Anna was unhappy, she wouldn't even respect the Clark brothers.
How could she possibly respect a Clark lady who had fallen out with the family?
It was baffling!
Meanwhile, the Clark Entertainment team, though frustrated, withdrew their prepared materials again.
Then they hired another wave of trolls to stir things up.
This time, besides cursing Emily for her bad character and telling her to leave the industry, they also cursed Elizabeth.
They said Elizabeth signing someone like Emily meant she must also interfere in relationships.
No wonder Eugene had supported Brenda and not her. It must be because she had a bad character, endorsing Emily.
They also said Elizabeth was declaring war on the entire entertainment industry and its fans.
If she wanted to stand up for someone who interfered in relationships, she should leave the industry too.
Harold's fans and Emily's haters also shifted their focus to Elizabeth.
Elizabeth's fans and Raymond's fans didn't believe she was that kind of person and thought there must be some hidden truth.
Emily's fans also came out, saying Emily was wronged a year ago.
It was Harold who had cheated, and Emily was framed.
Emily's fans were few but reasonable, saying a lot and not drowned out by haters.
This thanked to Herman and his team's efforts to control the situation.
"Elizabeth Signs a Tainted Artist" and "Elizabeth Should Get Out of the Entertainment Industry" both made headlines.
They even reached the first and second spots.
Many people clamored for Elizabeth to respond, or else she'd be seen as guilty.
Elizabeth did come out.
