Chapter 481 A Series of Dramas

Elizabeth looked at him and smiled confidently. "I trust my own judgment. Just wait and see."

"I'm heading to a remote area to shoot a film tomorrow. Are you staying in Clifftonshireburg, or do you want to explore a bit?" she asked.

Zachary stretched and replied, "I've been cooped up for too long; I need to get out and stretch my legs."

"I've already mapped out my route. Once you leave Clifftonshireburg, I'll hit the road," he added. Zachary was used to being on his own and had no intention of following Elizabeth to any remote location. But staying in Clifftonshireburg felt pointless.

Elizabeth nodded. "Alright, let's keep in touch regularly. And while you're traveling, keep an eye on the movements of the evil sorcery pit cracks," she reminded him, her tone serious. "That thing appeared in Aevum City and then moved to the outskirts of Clifftonshireburg. It seems to be targeting you. Be careful."

Zachary said, "Got it." The only thing that could make him wary and feel dangerous was that evil sorcery pit, so he would definitely pay attention to it.

Zachary was staying in Elizabeth's yard. After returning, they each went to their rooms to rest.

Elizabeth reached out and poked the little Aether Serpent on her wrist. "Have you found anything?" she asked. The little Aether Serpent, exceptionally gifted, had been spending a lot of time in the yard's formation recently. It had eaten many of Stanley's poisonous insects and was constantly fed with energy stones. Now it was almost at an advanced stage, able to communicate with her through consciousness.

The little Aether Serpent rubbed against Elizabeth's hand and conveyed its thoughts to her. Elizabeth looked up at the bright moon outside the window and squinted her eyes; there must be no more changes.

Early the next morning, she took leave from the Special Department. Then she went to Alaric's office and chatted with Alaric and Percy, asking them to deploy some things. At noon, Elizabeth flew to the city where the film was being shot with the crew.

This time, Elizabeth was shooting a film about an artistic young woman. The story is set in the mid-20th century and follows the journey of the female lead, who moved to a rural town to pursue her dream of painting.

One day, she was pushed into a river and saved by a local man who was ten years her senior. Due to societal pressures and traditional norms of the time, she was coerced into marrying him, and they had three daughters. The female lead endured numerous hardships in the man's family but never gave up on her education. Despite the adversity, she secretly studied and prepared to apply to college again. She wrote to her family for support, but the man's family vehemently opposed her decision. No matter how much she pleaded, they refused to let her go. On the night before she was supposed to leave for college, they locked her in a room.

In a pivotal moment, her eldest daughter secretly unlocked the door, enabling her to escape and finally pursue her dream. She took the exam and met her parents, who had rushed over to support her. With their protection, she successfully enrolled in college and left the poor, remote area. Before leaving, she visited her children. Since she and the man had never registered their marriage, they didn't need a divorce to separate. She discovered that all three daughters had been beaten by the man, which broke her heart. She wanted to take her children away, but the man's family disagreed. Under her parents' persuasion, she temporarily gave up her children to go to college, but she could never let go of her daughters left in the remote area.

The female lead studied while living frugally, even working as a tutor. The money she earned was sent to the man, hoping his family would treat the three daughters better. After only two years of college, she heard from a companion that her daughters were living miserably at home. Her ex-husband had gotten together with a widow and had a son, completely treating her daughters as servants. He even planned to marry off her eldest daughter to a poor family's son in exchange for money. So the female lead made a decision that no one could have expected or understood: she dropped out of school.

After dropping out, she returned to the remote area and applied to be an elementary school teacher. She then sought legal assistance and worked tirelessly to gain custody of her three children. She raised her daughters, helping them all get into the best universities in the country. The female lead herself stayed in the remote area's school as the principal, nurturing many excellent students. This film reflected the duality of human nature and focused on the female lead's indomitable spirit and motherly love.

Elizabeth started as a bright and youthful girl, then lost weight drastically, becoming a woman tormented by hardships. She then gained weight to become a middle-aged and elderly woman, the gentle and loving principal in her children's eyes. The film took nearly four months to shoot.

Elizabeth found this role easier to play than her past life, and her acting skills were recognized by the director and the entire crew. No one had expected her to lose and gain weight for the role. No one had expected her to appear completely makeup-free and even portray an unattractive character on screen, all without any beauty filters.

Except for Raymond's monthly visits, during which Elizabeth would go out for a few days, she ate and lived with everyone, being neither pretentious nor distant. She even helped several new actors with their scenes, making her well-liked by the entire crew. After the shoot, everyone added Elizabeth on WhatsApp, and within the entertainment industry, she received much praise, enhancing her reputation.

Elizabeth had just returned to Clifftonshireburg when she received a call from Rebecca. She said the Clark Family was on the headlines today and asked her to check it out. The signal in the remote area wasn't very good, but Elizabeth had always been aware of the news in Clifftonshireburg.

Recently, the Clark Family had been involved in a series of dramas. Through Brenda, Eliseand Loren had been in frequent contact. They even often went to the movies and had meals together.

A month ago, Elise had deliberately gone to a bar and gotten drunk. She had called Loren to take her home, and they had naturally ended up having a relationship. They even started secretly dating, completely leaving Brenda out.

Betty had always been keeping an eye on suppressing Brenda. So not long after Brenda was released, she gave her information to her uncle's family. As a result, Brenda was entangled by her uncle's family.

It wasn't until Loren and Elise confirmed their relationship that Brenda found out about it. Brenda considered Loren her possession and naturally couldn't stand it. She couldn't accept this fact. So she deliberately exposed their relationship to Claire and Betty.

Two enemies who despised each other couldn't bear the thought of Elise and Loren dating. Surprisingly, they joined forces to split them up. But Elise loved Loren so much that she refused to end the relationship.
