Chapter 280 Take Special Care of You

Following the map and instructions, Elizabeth and her crew finally stumbled upon the seventh shop and stepped inside. It was a cute little place that specialized in custom-engraved seals.

As they walked in, they spotted a young dude in a robe, Zachary Murphy, chatting with the shop owner. Looked like he was there to pick up a seal he ordered.

The livestream viewers went nuts when they saw Zachary.

[From the side, he's quite a handsome guy!]

[Wow, he's the first person Elizabeth and her group have met in this shop. They could invite him as a temporary guest.]

[Invite him, Elizabeth, go for it!]

Elizabeth, eyeing Zachary, had a gut feeling he was the mystery guest they were supposed to meet. She turned to Kevin. "Why don't you go ask him?"

Kevin, eager to score some points with Elizabeth, walked up to Zachary. "Hey, excuse me," he started.

Zachary turned around, meeting Kevin's gaze with a polite smile. "What's up?"

The livestream viewers went wild over Zachary's good looks.

Elizabeth noticed too. He had this refined look, a gentle smile, and clear, kind eyes. If he swapped his green robe for a white one, he'd look even more elegant.

Kevin, equally impressed, introduced himself and explained their situation. "We're filming a live variety show and need to invite the first person we meet as a temporary guest. Would you consider joining us?"

Zachary looked a bit stunned, a slightly confused look on his face. "But I've never been on a variety show and don't know anything about it. Is that okay?"

Elizabeth thought his voice was like a clear spring—pure and calming. The livestream viewers seemed to agree.

Kevin grinned. "It's cool if you're new. You'll get to experience it firsthand. So, what do you think? Join us?"

Zachary thought for a moment and said, "How long will your show be recording? I have to leave Seraphim Heights next week."

Kevin replied, "Including today, we'll be recording for a week, so it will end just in time next week."

Zachary hesitated. "Let me think about it."

Kevin nodded, "Alright!"

The three of them gave Zachary some time to mull it over and wandered around the shop, checking out the seals.

Meanwhile, the show's staff immediately approached Zachary and gave him the lowdown on the livestream and how the variety show worked. They even whipped out their phones to show him some highlight clips from the previous two episodes.

As soon as Arthur saw Zachary's face and demeanor on the livestream, he immediately told the staff to do whatever it took to get Zachary on board. It would definitely pull in more viewers.

After a bunch of recommendations and persuasion from the staff, Zachary finally agreed to give it a shot. But he requested that if he felt uncomfortable or didn't want to continue later, the show would let him leave. The show naturally agreed to this request.

On the flip side, Elizabeth was just casually browsing the seals on display. Suddenly, her eyes locked onto a corner where there was a old-looking seal. It was carved from a gemstone with a greenish-black hue and looked pretty ordinary at first glance. Honestly, it was so unremarkable that most people would probably find it kinda ugly.

But Elizabeth noticed clusters of evil energy hanging around the seal. It must've been soaking up bad vibes somewhere and could be used for some serious divination attacks.

Usually, when she tried to summon evil energy, there wasn't much around. But with this seal, she could summon way more powerful evil energy.

Elizabeth asked the shop owner, "Can I check out this seal?"

The owner nodded. "Sure, go ahead."

Elizabeth picked it up and examined it closely, finding the evil energy inside had naturally formed in the environment, which was rare and hard to come by.

She rubbed the seal with her hand, feeling it again to make sure there were no issues. Then her eyes widened in shock—this seal had Wayne's aura. This indicated that the seal might have once belonged to Wayne.

She collected herself and asked calmly, "Is this seal for sale?"

The owner smiled. "If you want to buy it, you can ask this diviner. This seal is on consignment from him."

Elizabeth had already guessed this but showed a surprised expression. She turned to Zachary. "So it's on consignment from you. Does that mean it's for sale?"

She thought, 'Is he trying to use a seal that might have belonged to Wayne to lure me into a trap?'

Zachary smiled. "Yep, it's for sale. This was a gift from an elder. But he said it wasn't meant for me and asked me to find someone it was meant for."

He looked at Elizabeth and sighed slightly, "This seal has been on consignment here for three years, and you're the first person to take an interest in it. It seems you are the one it's meant for."

Elizabeth said with a smile, "So I am meant for it. How much does it cost?"

Zachary chuckled, "Since it's meant for you, I'll give it to you. After all, it's just an old, worthless seal."

Elizabeth shook her head. "No, that's not good I don't like taking things for free."

Zachary thought for a moment and said gently, "I've agreed to join your show. The staff explained the rules and gameplay, and I know we're on the same team. How about this: for the next week, you take care of me a bit more, and in return, I'll give you the seal?"

He emphasized, "It wouldn't be right to take money for it. My older family member wanted it to go to the right person."

Elizabeth pondered this and finally said, "Alright, I'll accept it. I'll take special care of you for the next week."

Zachary's generosity intrigued her. She was curious about his intentions. The situation was peculiar, and if Zachary wanted her attention, she'd make sure he got it in spades.
