Chapter 200 How Dare Eugene Treat Her Like This?

Eugene was confused. He asked, "Mom, is that what you think?"

Amy replied confidently, "It's not what I think; it's a fact. You're still too naive, which is why Elizabeth deceived you. In the livestream, she was so vicious and arrogant in bullying Brenda. It was really disgusting. She didn't even respect me when she saw me. She even instigated Rebecca to go against me on purpose. It's good you broke up with a woman like her."

Amy's disgust toward Elizabeth was too obvious.

Amy couldn't stop herself from cursing, "Otherwise, if she really joined our family, who knows what kind of trouble she would cause. A woman like her..."

Before she could continue, Eugene couldn't help but interrupt, "Enough!"

He took a deep breath and questioned, "Mom, I just want to ask, is Brenda your daughter, or am I your son? For Brenda, you actually slander Elizabeth like this. It's really too much."

Eugene felt disappointed. His heart grew cold, and he couldn't help but see his previous actions as incredibly foolish. Just as Rebecca had pointed out, he acknowledged that he was behaving in a pathetic manner.

He actually followed Amy's arrangements to take care of Brenda for this kind of fake motherly love.

He lost his beloved Elizabeth because of these two terrible women.

Amy hadn't expected Eugene to interrupt her.

She was furious. "Is this how you talk to me? I'm your mother. How could I harm you?"

She just thought Elizabeth was a disaster. Sure enough, as long as it involved Elizabeth, Eugene wouldn't listen to her.

Rebecca was even worse, always at odds with her for Elizabeth.

Eugene's voice turned colder. "Only you would know that. Since Brenda is so great, why don't you bring her home and make her your daughter. You've already made me lose the one I truly love. What more do you want? Do you want to push me to death to make you happy?"

He must have been out of his mind before to crave this kind of motherly love.

Rebecca was right; Amy wanted to control his life completely.

Amy couldn't believe that Eugene would dare to talk back to her for Elizabeth.

She scolded, "Eugene, you're being outrageous!"

Hearing this scolding, Eugene suddenly felt incredibly clear-headed. He was done with such ridiculous motherly love.

Eugene shouted, frustration boiling over into his voice. "Mom, like Rebecca said, it's not the old days anymore. Why do you always want to control us? You can't handle us talking back to you. You can't handle us trying to break free. To outsiders, you might look authoritative, but let's not forget where you come from. No matter what you do, you can't change your original status."

He couldn't stop himself. "Don't tell me you're my mother and you're the greatest. You never raised me. Grandpa did. The money spent was provided by Dad and earned by me. You've contributed nothing, so what right do you have to control my life and arrange everything for me? Reflect on yourself: do you deserve to be my mother? From now on, don't meddle in my affairs. I won't listen to you anymore. Otherwise, my life will really be ruined by you, Mom."

He took a deep breath, his anger red-hot. "Since you treasure Brenda so much, why don't you go to Veridiania to take care of her? If you want to show your motherly love, match Percy with Brenda!"

In an outpouring of frustration, Eugene released all the pent-up emotions that had been consuming him. Suddenly, he saw it clearly: Amy liked Brenda so much that she seemed eager for him to marry her. But why the hell should he? Wouldn't it be better for her beloved Percy to marry Brenda? They were her favorites, after all; let them form the most harmonious family.

Amy, faced with Eugene's unexpected contradiction and ridicule, felt a surge of anger welling up within her. She screamed. "You, you ungrateful son. Are you trying to drive me to my grave?"

Eugene retorted, "I wouldn't dare. Otherwise, I'm sure Dad would break my legs. Mom, don't think you can pretend to show me some fake motherly love like before and make me listen to you. I see right through it now, and I don't want your so-called love anymore. I lost Elizabeth because of you. I don't care about anything anymore. And don't think about bringing Dad in to suppress me; I'm not afraid."

He threatened, "If you keep trying to control me, blaming me for an outsider, making me cater to Brenda, then I'll go to Grandma and have her deal with you. And your precious nephews and nieces in the entertainment industry? Believe me, one word from me and they're out."

Amy was trembling with anger. "You...you!"

How dare Eugene treat her like this?

"That's it. Let's not contact each other anymore," he declared, his voice firm. He hung up decisively, blocking her number.

Amy heard the busy tone from the phone and was stunned. She couldn't believe it. Ever since Eugene was brought back home in high school, he had always craved her motherly love and was very obedient to her, but now he was like this.

Amy was extremely angry and wanted to call him to scold him, but couldn't get through and realized she had been blocked.

Then she couldn't help but call Orlando to complain.

After hearing Amy's crying complaint, Orlando was a bit surprised. It's rare that Eugene finally saw Amy's true colors.

Her so-called motherly love was fake, just a strong possessive control.

But he couldn't tell Eugene directly before to prevent Eugene from exposing him.

And Eugene wouldn't know the pain and learn the lesson without experiencing it himself.

Now, it seemed, the realization had finally dawned.

Orlando pretended to be angry and scolded Eugene for being ungrateful. Then he comforted Amy, saying he was on a business trip and would deal with Eugene when he got back. He signaled to his secretary to fabricate a meeting as an excuse to end the call.

The more Amy thought about it, the angrier she got, feeling like she was being cut to the bone.

How could he rebel like this, siding with Elizabeth, whom she despised?

Now, she had no choice but to hope Orlando come back, teach Eugene a good lesson, and make Eugene realize his mistake and come to her to apologize.

As for Eugene's suggestion of having Percy marry Brenda, that was complete nonsense.

They were half-siblings. How could they be together?

But it did remind her of something. So she called Percy.
