Chapter 33
Eugene didn't let Brenda carry the fish and veggies. Like a true gentleman, he took them into the kitchen himself. Brenda wanted to be brave and kill the fish, but she just couldn't do it. So, Eugene stepped in and did the job.
After taking the show's medicine, Kevin felt a lot better. Still a bit weak, he made his way to the kitchen. Brenda saw him and expressed her concern, even if it sounded a bit shallow. Kevin was still pleased.
"I haven't tried Brenda's fish yet. Tonight, I'm gonna eat a lot," he said.
Raymond, who was bringing in the tableware, overheard and smirked. "Then you better ask the show for an extra box of medicine."
Kevin fell silent. Why was Raymond here again? He glared at him. "Why do you always have to butt in?"
Raymond shrugged. "Just looking out for you."
Kevin sneered. "I really appreciate it!"
Brenda heard Raymond's comment and got furious. Did he really think so little of her? Hmph, she was determined to show him she was better than Elizabeth.
Brenda started cutting the fish, but her knife skills were terrible, resulting in uneven pieces. Near the end, the knife slipped and cut her finger. Seeing the blood, Brenda was momentarily stunned. Out of habit, she turned to Kevin with a pitiful look. "Kevin, I cut my finger."
She brought her finger to Kevin's mouth. "Quick, help me stop the bleeding."
Kevin immediately lowered his head and sucked on her cut finger. With a pained expression, he said, "It'll be fine soon." He also asked Lisa to quickly get a band-aid from the show.
Seeing their actions, Lisa felt disgusted. What kind of sister would have her brother stop her bleeding with his mouth? These siblings were way too close. Even Eugene, watching their interaction, couldn't help but frown.
The audience watching the live stream were also taken aback.
[This is the first time I've seen such a method to stop bleeding, how unique.]
[Brenda's hand instinctively went to Kevin's mouth; she must do this often at home.]

Kevin's fans quickly started to lash out, causing many viewers to feel repulsed. After all, most of them found the siblings' behavior uncomfortable.
Elizabeth, who came in with a bowl, also saw the siblings' interaction. She smirked; this brother-sister pair never failed to disappoint her. Brenda was a pampered little princess at home. If she felt even slightly unwell, she would demand to be held and comforted by her brothers, sometimes even kissed. Often, Brenda did this deliberately in front of her.
Even before Elizabeth was hurt by her family, she never felt jealous. After all, she could never engage in such intimate actions with her brothers.
Seeing Elizabeth come in, Brenda deliberately continued to seek comfort from Kevin pitifully. Kevin comforted her for quite a while, their actions unusually intimate, with one snuggling and the other hugging. This not only made everyone present feel awkward but also made the audience watching the live stream uncomfortable.

Lisa got a band-aid from Arthur's team, and Kevin took it to apply to Brenda. Brenda then bravely continued to work on the fish. Although her process was correct, the fish she made didn't look very appetizing. It wasn't just the viewers who felt this way; Eugene and the others didn't smell the same delicious aroma that Elizabeth's fish had.
Lisa, though hungry, didn't really want to eat the fish. But Brenda served her several pieces. "Lisa, you wanted fish, so I made this especially for you. Try it."
Lisa wanted to roll her eyes. Brenda made it especially for her? She couldn't bear it. But she put on a smile, "Sure!" She then took a piece and put it in her mouth, barely managing not to spit it out. The fish was too fishy and lacked the delicious aroma that Elizabeth's fish had. She regretted speaking up earlier about wanting the same dish.
Brenda, not giving up, asked with a smile, "How does it taste?" She thought she had done well, remembering all the steps.
Lisa forced a smile, "It's okay." She quickly finished the fish in her bowl, afraid Brenda would serve her more, and got up to get some bread, burying her head in it, which displeased Brenda. She felt Lisa was being difficult, asking for fish and then not eating it when she made it.
Brenda then served some fish to Kevin and Eugene, saying, "You guys should give it a try as well." Kevin took a bite and was taken aback. How could the same dish taste so distinct when prepared by different sisters?Although he hadn't tasted Elizabeth's fish, the aroma that filled the yard made him hungry while lying in bed. He knew it must be delicious because Elizabeth was always a good cook. Now, eating this fish that was all fishy with no other flavors and tough, he wanted to cry. But to show support, he forced a smile and praised, "It's delicious."
Brenda served him more, "Then have some more, Kevin."
[Kevin's acting like it's delicious, bad review!]
[I didn't believe it when they said he couldn't act, but now I do.]
[Kevin, eat the fish!]

[Next up is Eugene, time to show off your acting skills.]
Eugene took a deep breath and tried a piece. His face twitched slightly, but he managed to keep a straight face. "Not bad," he said, trying to sound convincing.
Brenda beamed, "See, I knew I could do it!"
The audience, however, wasn't buying it.
[Eugene deserves an Oscar for that performance.]
[Poor guy, you can see the pain in his eyes.]

[This is turning into a comedy show.]
Elizabeth, watching from the side, couldn't help but smirk. She knew Brenda's cooking skills were lacking, and seeing everyone struggle to eat her fish was oddly satisfying.
