Chapter 61 Immediate Response
The production team finished counting the little red flowers.
The director told Elizabeth and her group, "Congrats, your team got the most little red flowers and won first place. As we said before, the first-place team can make a request to the production team. Have you decided what you want?"
Elizabeth and the others looked at Ronald.
They had already discussed their request if they won.
Ronald, being the oldest and most gentlemanly, was chosen as their spokesperson for more screen time.
He smiled at the director and said, "We'd like the production team to donate a library and some musical instruments and art supplies to the village school. The kids love extracurricular books, singing, playing instruments, and drawing. We hope they can keep exploring these interests."
Everyone was surprised but understood.
The kids were thrilled, their eyes shining as they looked at Arthur.
Arthur was happy to do something meaningful.
He gave a thumbs-up. "No problem, we'll arrange it according to the kids' preferences."
Hearing this, the kids cheered.
Elizabeth and her group smiled, seeing the kids' joy.
This made the other group uncomfortable.
Brenda felt jealous, thinking Elizabeth's group really knew how to put on a show. By doing so, people would surely sing praises for them.
She wasn't wrong; the live chat was full of praise for Elizabeth's group.
After the show ended, the two groups went back to the courtyard to pack.
The director collected their current phones, saying they'd get them back next episode.
He also had them open their suitcases to get their personal phones.
Then Arthur announced the end of this episode of the variety show.
This time, they didn't have to walk down the mountain; cars were arranged to pick them up from the main road.
Each guest got into the same car they had arrived in.
When they reached the road, the cars were waiting.
Raymond wanted to spend more time with Elizabeth.
But the issue between Elizabeth and Eugene was still unresolved.
If he suggested they take a car alone, it might affect her reputation.
So he smiled and asked all his three teammates, "Are you all heading back to Clifftonshireburg?"
They nodded. "Yes."
Raymond suggested, "How about we all take one car? We can chat on the way to the airport, making the time pass faster. We probably will be taking the same flight as well."
Elizabeth and the others agreed, "Sure."
After discussing with Arthur, the four of them got into one car and left first.
In the other group, Kevin and Brenda were supposed to take the same car. Recalling the online debacle, Kevin turned to Eugene, "Hey, Eugene, hop in with us. Need to chat."
Eugene's gaze lingered on the car Elizabeth and her crew had just vacated. He'd hoped to share a ride with Elizabeth to address their relationship scandal, but he'd missed his chance.
Kevin's invite jolted him back, "Sure thing."
The trio squeezed into the same car, leaving Lisa standing solo, feeling distinctly awkward.
As the car vanished into the distance, anger surged within Lisa.
Off-camera, their true selves emerged. It rankled that they disregarded her, leaving her in the dust.
Eugene and Kevin's behavior, given their positions, she somewhat understood. But Brenda, not even a public figure, acting all haughty? It reeked of disrespect.
Comparatively, the other quartet exuded a more welcoming aura. She regretted picking Kevin and Brenda's squad, thinking they were decent.
Next time, she vowed to swap crews.
In the first car, Elizabeth and her group checked and responded to a week's worth of messages.
They also looked at reactions to their participation in the live show.
Then they saw the big news.
Ronald saw comments on the show's official website discussing Elizabeth and Kevin being siblings and her relationship with Eugene.
He checked the headlines and saw two about Elizabeth and Eugene's relationship.
He was a bit stunned.
He hadn't expected Elizabeth and Eugene to be a couple, let alone that their relationship would be exposed.
Nancy also checked the headlines.
She knew about Elizabeth and Eugene.
Seeing most comments criticizing Elizabeth made her angry.
She asked, "Elizabeth, did you see the headlines?"
Elizabeth had just finished reading the headlines and online discussions.
She looked up and said, "Yes, I saw them."
Nancy asked, "You didn't know about this beforehand, did you?"
Elizabeth shook her head, "I didn't know, and I didn't expect it."
Nancy felt sorry for Elizabeth, thinking this exposure was premeditated.
"Are you going to respond?" Nancy asked.
She thought Elizabeth was in a tough spot.
Not responding would lead to more criticism, but responding might not be good either.
Raymond had already read the headlines and was glad Nancy asked what he was thinking.
Although he knew Elizabeth was prepared, he still wanted to know if she would respond directly to the exposure of her relationship.
Elizabeth smiled and replied, "Of course, I'll respond. Otherwise, they'll just say whatever they want."
Raymond's eyes lit up. "I'll have my PR team help you."
Elizabeth had left Clark Entertainment and didn't have a manager or PR team now.
While he had a dedicated PR team that could fully support her.
Elizabeth didn't refuse Raymond's offer this time. "Sure, thank you for your PR team."
She hadn't had time to hire staff for her studio, so she lacked PR.
After returning, she would need to hire people.
Seeing Elizabeth didn't refuse, Raymond's smile deepened. "I'll have them get ready right away."
He then sent multiple voice messages to his manager and team, asking them to be ready to handle PR for Elizabeth.

Knowing Eugene, since he agreed and supported Richard in exposing their relationship, he would quickly post once he got his phone.
