Chapter 246 What a Coincidence

When Elizabeth and Raymond rolled up to the airport, Isaac and Matthew were already chillin' there.

Next to Matthew was this super classy, well-dressed lady.

Elizabeth took one look at their vibes and figured out this must be Matthew's wife, Hannah.

She also got a weird feeling from Hannah's aura, like there was some shady character hanging around her.

The three of them grinned and waved when they spotted Elizabeth.

Matthew did the intros. "This is Elizabeth Clark I was telling you about."

Then he turned to Elizabeth. "And this is my wife, Hannah Campbell."

Hannah greeted Elizabeth with a mix of gratitude and excitement, "Hey there, Ms. Clark!" If it wasn't for this young fortune-teller, Rex would've been in deep trouble. Matthew would've been a wreck, and it would've messed things up between them. After all, it was her idea, all because of Darlene, to drag Matthew to that auction.

Hannah got along great with Rex and didn't want anything bad happening to him. So, she was super thankful to Elizabeth for sorting things out.

Elizabeth smiled and said, "Hey, Mrs. Ingram!"

Hannah wanted to get on Elizabeth's good side, so she suggested, "That's too formal. Just call me Hannah."

Elizabeth had already scoped out Hannah's vibe; she was a good person who'd done a lot of nice things but was easily swayed by others, leading her to make rash decisions. That's why there were shady folks around her. So, Elizabeth didn't mind getting closer to her.

She grinned, "Sure, then you can call me Elizabeth."

"Awesome." Hannah laughed and walked over to Elizabeth, starting up a chat.

Matthew's secretary had sorted the tickets, so they were all together. They headed into the VIP lounge and sat down. A bit later, a few more people strolled in.

Elizabeth glanced over. Leading the pack was a guy in his thirties, decent-looking but with a sleazy vibe. Definitely the flirty type.

Next to him was a young woman, pretty enough, dressed sharp, and carrying herself with some confidence. While she wore a soft smile, her aura hinted at a tough demeanor. Elizabeth surmised that she must be Darlene, the phony heiress of the Spellscroll family.

Elizabeth's eyes then landed on a young woman trailing behind them, who seemed to blend into the background. She had black-framed glasses, shoulder-length hair covering most of her face, and wore super plain clothes, making her easy to overlook.

But Elizabeth noticed her delicate features. If she dressed up, she'd outshine Darlene by a mile.

From her vibe, Nicole, the real heiress, wasn't a pushover. So, her current meek and invisible act had to be just that—an act.

Logically, someone with her aura would push back against the Spellscroll family and Darlene.

But Elizabeth saw a similar vibe between Darlene and Nicole. She looked closer and realized their Generational Blessings were actually linked. To her surprise, Nicole had willingly turned herself into a vessel to provide Generational Blessings for Darlene.

While Elizabeth was checking them out, the other group noticed them too. The guy in front was Nicholas Spellscroll, the current heir of the Spellscroll family. He raised an eyebrow and said, "Hey, Matthew. Looks like we're on the same flight. What a coincidence."

Matthew smiled knowingly. "Yeah, quite the coincidence."

Since Isaac had some business to handle, they came two days early. Matthew didn't buy into coincidences like this.

Darlene looked at Matthew and the crew, totally taken aback. She greeted them, "Matthew, Hannah!"

Out of nowhere, Hannah stepped up, grabbed Darlene's hair, and slapped her a few times.

"You bitch," Hannah spat, "I've always had your back, and this is how you repay me? Using that dead person's item to trick Matthew into buying and wearing it. You actually want to kill him?"

Hannah's sudden move left everyone stunned, and it wasn't until Darlene got smacked that they snapped out of it.

Nicholas rushed over to pull Hannah away, trying to calm her down. "Hannah, chill out. You can't just hit her!"

Hannah might look gentle, but she had a fiery temper and had been practicing martial arts since she was a kid; Nicholas didn't stand a chance against her.

Darlene tried to fight back but couldn't break free from Hannah's grip. She could only yell, "Hannah, what are you talking about? I don't get it. Why would I want to kill Matthew?"

At that moment, Darlene hated Hannah's guts. Getting slapped in front of everyone was humiliating. She was also shocked that Hannah knew about the gemstone ring.

It seemed Matthew had spilled the beans to Hannah. In Hannah's world, nothing and no one was more important than Matthew. No wonder she went off the moment they met.

Hannah wasn't listening and kept tearing into Darlene. She shouted, "Do you think I'm stupid? That day, you kept bugging us to go to your auction house. If you didn't know the ring was cursed, would you have pushed Matthew to buy it? If it was so great, why didn't you use it yourself? Or give it to Nicholas? I must've been blind to think you were kind. Now I see, you're just a bitch!"

After Matthew told her about the incident, Hannah had been itching to confront Darlene. Unfortunately, Darlene had been MIA, so Hannah had been stewing in her anger until now. She couldn't let go of this rage without beating Darlene.

Of course, Darlene denied everything. "I didn't, I really didn't."

Darlene had heard that Rex had taken the gemstone ring, knowing it would cause trouble. Who would've thought Rex not only survived but was saved by the fortune-teller? She knew Hannah's temper; if she found out the ring was cursed, she'd definitely come after her.

In response, Darlene had been keeping a low profile. The past few days had been quiet with no word from Hannah. She suspected Matthew hadn't spilled the beans to her.So when Darlene found out that Matthew and the others had booked today's flight and brought the fortune-teller, she pushed Nicholas to book the same flight. She wanted to see who had ruined her plan and find a way to get back at them. Who would've thought that as soon as she walked in, Hannah would tear into her and start hitting her?

Nicholas couldn't pull Hannah away and looked at Matthew, pleading, "Matthew, can you help get Hannah off her?"

Matthew replied coolly, "Darlene almost killed Rex. Isn't it right for Hannah to blow off some steam?"

Matthew wasn't scared of the Spellscroll family or Darlene, and he didn't want any dealings with them in the gemstone market.

So, it was good to clear things up now. When they competed for gemstone rough stones in the future, they'd have a reason to target the Spellscroll Group. This was something Matthew and Hannah had discussed beforehand.

On the other hand, Hannah's anger was real. She had a fiery temper and valued Matthew greatly. Darlene's scheme almost killed him, so naturally, she wouldn't let it go. If she didn't vent this anger, she'd feel stifled.

So how could Matthew possibly help Darlene?
