Chapter 31

Brenda was fuming, while Kevin and Eugene thought Raymond was being a total jerk.

Only Lisa sat quietly, secretly pleased. She figured someone as fake as Brenda needed Raymond's sharp words to knock her down a peg.

Raymond was just being brutally honest.

Kevin saw Brenda's face turn pale with anger and felt bad for her. "Brenda, don't listen to him. Your sandwiches are amazing, way better than any pizza. I love them."

To prove his point, he grabbed a few more sandwiches and made a big show of enjoying them, eating every last bite.

[Kevin's acting left me speechless.]

[It looked like he was swallowing poison, not enjoying food.]

[The genuine look of enjoying good food was what Raymond and the others had earlier.]

[Watching the other three have breakfast made my mouth water, but seeing this, I instantly felt full.]

[Kevin really has no principles when it comes to spoiling his sister. I wonder if he'll ever have a girlfriend.]

[What does spoiling his sister have to do with you? Good brothers like Kev are hard to find.]

[Exactly, it's his own sister. Of course, he should spoil her.]

[A man who spoils his sister is a good man.]

Soon, Kevin's fans jumped in to defend him.

Brenda's attempt to match Elizabeth's efforts only made the difference more obvious.

In the end, because the sandwiches were really not tasty, half a plate was left, giving many viewers a chance to mock.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth and the others went to help a family with fishing. They had arranged this with the family beforehand.

They spent the whole morning netting fish and were treated to lunch.

In the afternoon, they kept working until after three.

After finishing, besides their payment, the host family also gave them two fish.
The four of them carried the fish back to the yard and found Kevin had already returned.

He was making frequent trips to the bathroom.

Seeing this, Raymond asked as Kevin came out of the bathroom, "Ate too many sandwiches this morning?"

Kevin stayed silent; Raymond was getting more and more annoying.

When he saw Elizabeth, his eyes lit up like he'd seen a savior. "Elizabeth, please get me some medicine for diarrhea."

His legs were weak from the diarrhea, and he felt miserable.

Kevin couldn't help but regret eating so many sandwiches in the morning.

He knew Elizabeth had medical knowledge.

Once, when they went for a barbecue in the wild, both he and Enrique had diarrhea.

Elizabeth found some medicine for them, and it worked immediately.

Elizabeth understood what Kevin meant but wasn't prepared to help, "You overate, just digest it a few more times."

Kevin was silent, feeling like she was scolding him.

He put on a pitiful look, "Can you really bear to see me suffering?"

In the past, Elizabeth would have fallen for this trick; she would have felt sorry for him as soon as she heard it.

This time, Elizabeth shrugged, "Of course I can. Why wouldn't I? We're not even close."

Kevin didn't expect Elizabeth to be so heartless, "You're too cruel."

Elizabeth nodded. "Yes, my heart is made of stone."

Raymond gave Elizabeth a thumbs up; he liked her heartless side.

Raymond said, "Kevin, this is how you show your love for Brenda. You should commemorate it with a few more trips to the bathroom."

Kevin could tell Raymond was mocking him, "Stop gloating."

Raymond raised an eyebrow, "I don't care. I'm in great health."

Kevin paused, "You!"

But before he could finish, his stomach hurt again, and he turned to run back to the bathroom.

Raymond turned to the others and said, "This is how he shows his love for his sister."

Nancy remarked, "Kevin's in such a state, yet where's Brenda to take care of him?"

Ever since she learned about the relationship between these two and Elizabeth, she had felt quite uncomfortable.

Moreover, she genuinely wondered.

Kevin doted on Brenda so much, and it was because of Brenda's sandwiches that he ended up like this.

So why wasn't Brenda here to take care of him?

And Kevin had the audacity to demand Elizabeth's help just now; he was really shameless.

Raymond shrugged, "Who knows, maybe it's a one-sided affection from him towards Brenda."

He then changed the subject, "Aren't the students supposed to arrive soon?"

Elizabeth replied, "Yes, the village head called earlier. About a dozen kids will be coming over to study today."

Raymond, who had never been a teacher before, was excited, "Let's get ready then."

So the four of them started preparing, waiting for the village children to arrive.

Kevin's fans first kept cursing Elizabeth for being cold-blooded and selfish, and Raymond for being overly indifferent.

Then they switched to another live stream, where Brenda was happily harvesting fruit with Eugene's help, chatting and laughing.

They couldn't help but feel some dissatisfaction.

They hadn't thought much of it before, but now they realized Brenda was quite an unfit sister.

If Kev hadn't been trying to support her, he wouldn't be having diarrhea.

Before long, a dozen children of various ages from the village, led by the village chief, walked into the yard.

After Raymond and the others introduced themselves and talked about their specialties, they let the children choose what they wanted to learn.

Raymond taught guitar, Ronald taught painting, and Nancy taught singing.

Elizabeth offered to help with their homework.

So the children chose their teachers based on their interests.

One teenager looked at Elizabeth, "Elizabeth, can you help me with my homework?"

He was home for the holidays and had come over after hearing from the village chief that someone could help with homework.

Elizabeth smiled, "Yes, I can help."

She beckoned the teenager over, "Come sit here, you can ask me anything you don't understand."

In the live chat, Kevin's fans started to criticize.

[Is Elizabeth trying to show off how smart she is?]

[Does she mean she knows everything when she says ‘you can ask her anything?’]

[It would be so embarrassing if she couldn't answer a question.]

The teenager, who had never seen such a beautiful girl, shyly walked over and sat down.

He took out a math test paper from his backpack and pointed to a problem, "Elizabeth, I don't know how to solve this one."

Elizabeth leaned over to take a look.

Then she took the notebook and pen from his hand and began to explain, "This problem is..."

She gave a detailed explanation of the problem and then asked, "Did I make myself clear?"

The teenager's eyes lit up as he nodded, "I understood. You explained it really well, Elizabeth."

He then asked Elizabeth several more questions, not just in math but also in physics and chemistry.

Elizabeth only needed to look at the problem once before quickly explaining it to him.

Her explanations were clear and easy to understand, and she even reviewed and reinforced the related knowledge.

[Elizabeth is really smart. Even I, who am not good at studying, understood her explanations.]

[Elizabeth's explanations are excellent. She remembers high school knowledge so clearly.]

[No wonder she dared to say she could help with anything; she really knows her stuff.]

[Elizabeth is amazing. She explains things better than our teachers.]

[Where are those people who said Elizabeth was just pretending to be smart?]

[They're probably feeling ashamed and speechless right now.]

[Elizabeth is awesome!]
