Chapter 224 Created a Group Chat

Richard was like, "Yeah, that makes sense." Having all been duped by Brenda in the past, he, Arnold, and Kevin had recently come to the realization that she wasn't as innocent as she appeared.

Just talking about it was a waste of time. It was like that time when Arnold and Enrique teamed up to help Brenda and snatched the bracelet right out of his hand.

If it were now, only Enrique would probably make a move. Let Enrique handle Brenda's schemes.

Loren, having always been the smart and rational one, was not supposed to fall for Brenda's schemes. If he did, well, that would be on him.

Since there was no life-threatening danger, Richard felt a lot better. He nodded to Elizabeth. "Got it."

Elizabeth had said her piece and asked her questions. So she told the three, "You can go now."

Rebecca chimed in, "Yeah, we need some rest."

Hubert and the other two felt a bit bummed out.

They were just being used and then tossed aside! But today's trip wasn't a total waste; they did learn a lot.

Hubert, being the sly one, thought for a moment and asked Elizabeth, "Can you whip me up a protective spell scroll? To keep my generational blessings from getting siphoned off. If it can't stop it, at least it can protect me."

Hubert didn't want his hard-earned Generational Blessings to be snatched by Angela. And even if it couldn't stop the siphoning, after hearing all this tonight, he felt pretty uneasy.

Having a protective spell scroll for peace of mind would also give him some psychological comfort.

Elizabeth realized that among the three, Hubert was the sharpest. She nodded. "Yes, I can, but it ain't free." Her relationship with Hubert wasn't close enough to give away a protective spell scroll for nothing.

Hubert grinned, "As long as you can do it, I won't let you work for free. You want cash or something else?"

Elizabeth replied, "Cash works. A protective spell scroll costs $2.5 million each, good for three months." She explained, "It can keep you safe, avoiding one major danger or disaster and three minor ones. To stop Angela from siphoning your Generational Blessings, there's also a way. I'll add a backlash effect to the spell scroll. If Angela tries to siphon your blessings again, she'll get hit with the backlash. Then your blessings will come back to you. But the spell scroll's effect only lasts three months."

She added, "This isn't easy to make. I need to capture your aura and integrate it into the spell scroll. If you're cool with that, I'll go make the custom spell scroll for you now."

She was planning to buy a batch of gemstones to carve the protective spell scroll. And to boost her power, she needed gemstones to set up formations. So she was short on cash now.

Since Hubert offered, she wasn't gonna be shy about it.

But Hubert wouldn't be losing out either. After all, the protective spell scroll also stopped the siphoning of Generational Blessings. He might not find another witchcraft master who could make it.

Hubert, knowing the value of the protective spell scroll, didn't hesitate and agreed. "No problem. Give me your bank account information, and I'll transfer $2.5 million to you."

Right away, Hubert made the transfer after Elizabeth sent him her bank account information, and they added each other on WhatsApp.

Elizabeth captured a strand of his aura and went to make the spell scroll.

Half an hour later, she folded the completed spell scroll and tied it with a string.

Handing it to Hubert, she said, "Keep this on you all the time. You can even wear it while bathing or swimming."

Hubert took it and said, "Thanks a lot!" He immediately hung it around his neck, feeling more secure that way.

Eugene and Richard chimed in together, "We want to buy a protective spell scroll too."

Hubert looked at them and teased, "You guys won't have your Generational Blessings siphoned off, so why do you need it?"

Richard rolled his eyes and shot back, "We might not get them siphoned off, but we're in more danger and worse situations than you, okay? If we get hit, it's like we're handing over our blessings on a silver platter."

Eugene nodded. "Yeah." Plus, he wanted a spell scroll personally drawn by Elizabeth.

Hubert was speechless. He argued, "You guys can just say no, can't you? I'm getting my blessings siphoned off passively, but you guys can refuse, so who's worse off?"

Richard explained, "We're also afraid of getting tricked into agreeing without realizing it."

'Who knows if Brenda might use other methods to get us to agree?' Richard pondered.

Hearing this, Hubert nodded. "True, carrying a spell scroll is definitely safer."

Elizabeth didn't mind and said, "Sure, it's also $2.5 million each, good for three months."

Eugene and Richard both said, "Deal."

So, Elizabeth captured their auras and drew the protective spell scrolls.

After folding the completed spell scrolls and tying them with string, she handed them to the two.

She warned, "If Brenda tricks you into agreeing to give her your Generational Blessings, this spell scroll will send them back to you. But it only works once. If your spell scroll burns to ashes, it means it has protected you from a disaster and can't be used again."

Eugene and Richard took the spell scrolls. "Got it!"

They hung the spell scrolls around their necks, feeling much safer.

This time, without waiting for Elizabeth and Rebecca to urge them, the three got up and left on their own.

They agreed that if anyone discovered any issues, they would immediately inform the others.

Hubert, being quite cunning, created a group chat and added everyone to it. He said that if anyone discovered anything or had any issues, they should mention it in the group.

Elizabeth didn't refuse; she needed to keep track of the three families' situations through them. Besides, she didn't want to see Eugene and Richard frequently, so discussing discoveries in the group was more convenient, which is why she agreed.

After joining the group, she added a layer of protection to their phones, which prevented hackers from invading their phones.

As long as no one was watching them closely, their conversations in the group would be relatively safe.

Elizabeth told the three, "For sensitive matters, after discussing them in the group, I'll delete and clear the messages completely so no one can see or trace the chat history."

The three naturally agreed, "No problem."

Before leaving, Richard asked Elizabeth, "Can I re-add you on WhatsApp?"

Elizabeth refused, "No."

Then he asked, "Then, if I need something, can I contact you in the group?"

Elizabeth nodded. "Okay!"

Richard thought for a moment and said, "I'll send a video to the group later. Maybe you can use it for your next show."

Elizabeth guessed he wanted to set up Enrique and agreed, "Okay."

The three then left. As soon as Richard got out of the elevator, he sent the video Kevin had given him to the group.
