Chapter 105 Elizabeth, His "Good Sister"

After finishing reading the post and evidence from the influencer account they had built up on his phone, he didn't throw his phone in anger this time. Instead, he leaned back in his chair, looking pretty down.

"Can the tech department recover this account?" he asked.

The assistant sensed something was off with Richard. It made sense, though—they had lost big time.

Richard had been so sure he had outsmarted Elizabeth's plan to clear things up. But Elizabeth had taken a different approach. Instead of using some destiny divination, she hit back with solid evidence.

Who would've thought Elizabeth would hack into the influencer account they had built, the same one that had exposed Emily, to clear Emily's name? An apology from that account was way more effective than using another one to reveal the evidence.

Elizabeth and her team had stayed calm, letting them control the narrative until the hype was at its peak before striking back. Fans and viewers who didn't get the whole picture just thought Emily was too pitiful.

Now, the two artists under Richard's management were at the height of public disgust. The company's operations team had spent a lot of money recently, only to end up helping Elizabeth clear Emily's name.

Richard couldn't accept this. Even the assistant was furious.

He messaged the tech department. After getting a reply, he said, "The tech department says it can't be recovered. This account is useless now."

Judging by the post , this account won't be leaking any more info. Elizabeth not only beat Richard but also made the account they had invested so much in useless.

Richard held his phone, shaking with anger. He couldn't accept this reality. Not only had he lost, but everything he did had inadvertently helped Elizabeth.

For the first time, he was humiliated and lost so badly, all because of his sister, Elizabeth. He remembered the day she left home, and he had told her and the family he'd make her come back and apologize. Now, he felt not just angry but deeply ironic.

The assistant asked, "Mr. Clark, the operations team is asking how to handle the PR?"

The operations team hadn't seen Elizabeth's move coming and was now clueless. Elizabeth had not only cleared Emily's name but also released evidence proving the poor character of Harold and the other person. If they didn't handle the PR, the two artists under Richard's management would be ruined.

Richard laughed bitterly. "How can we clear this up? Tell them to stop embarrassing themselves. A bunch of useless people, I don't even know why we keep them around."

This was the operations team he had pushed for, and he felt humiliated again. Elizabeth had successfully fought back with the team they had discarded. The more he thought about it, the angrier and more frustrated he became.

Suddenly, Richard felt a pain in his chest and spat out blood.

The assistant was startled. "Mr. Clark, are you okay?"

At that moment, Loren walked in and saw the scene. He frowned. "You're spitting blood from anger?"

Richard's mental resilience seemed weak. He wiped his mouth with a tissue, expressionless. "I had been holding in my anger, and now it's released."

He didn't want to admit that Elizabeth had made him spit blood from anger.

After sending the assistant out, Loren walked up to Richard and said, "The company's shareholders just called me, asking you to explain this mess."

Richard looked up and asked, "Clark Entertainment or the Clark Group?"

Loren replied, "Clark Entertainment. But the Clark Group shareholders won't be happy either."

Paul had set it all up that Loren would start as president of Clark Entertainment, gain experience, and eventually take over the parent company. Richard would then take over the entertainment company. But now, Richard had not only failed to deliver results but had also been repeatedly outsmarted by Elizabeth. This would make the group shareholders see him as useless.

Richard sneered, "It's just a marketing fail. What's there to explain?"

Loren frowned. "The losses are huge. The account we invested in is useless, and the two artists you manage are ruined."

He had done his homework and knew those two were getting slammed so hard they couldn't recover. "Elizabeth's team is controlling the narrative, and our company's reputation is tanking. Our official account is getting bombarded by Elizabeth and Emily's fans. People are even calling for a boycott of our artists. This will likely tank our stock tomorrow."

If it weren't for the online uproar and the hit to the company's reputation and interests, the shareholders wouldn't be so angry, demanding explanations from him and Richard.

Richard felt another urge to spit blood. He gritted his teeth. "Elizabeth really knows how to hit where it hurts."

Not only did she humiliate him and ruin his artists, but she also forced the company to demand an explanation from him. Well done, Elizabeth, his "good sister"!

Loren hadn't expected Elizabeth to be so precise and ruthless. "I warned you she wasn't simple and told you not to underestimate her."

But Richard had been too confident to listen. Richard's face darkened. "Yeah, I admit, I underestimated her again."

He got straight to the point. "Loren, what should I do?"

Loren thought for a moment. "The company will announce your suspension to appease the public. The two artists will be terminated."

They had violated their contracts, so they could be directly terminated and made to pay the penalty.

Richard mocked, "The company is dumping all the blame on me? Elizabeth's plan is brilliant."

He suddenly understood the pain of being criticized and boycotted by the entire internet, forced by public opinion to be abandoned by the company, like being cut by a thousand knives. A year ago, he had helped his two artists deal with Emily. He never anticipated that one day they would suffer double the backlash.

Loren sighed. "This failure isn't entirely bad for you. When the public outcry dies down, I'll make you head of the talent management department. Learn from this."

He added earnestly, "Clark Entertainment will be yours in the future. Don't disappoint Dad and me."

Richard sneered, "Do I have any other choice?"

Clearly not.

Before Loren could respond, he added, "I get it. I need a vacation."

With that, he grabbed his phone and car keys and left the office.
